I love how he is like: I will not be using glitches. At botw.
But meanwhile twilight princess: so I clipped through the fence
For sure, you make a great point that I struggled with!
When preparing my routes, I really enjoyed how gate skip felt easily accessible for someone outside of the speedrunning scene while also creating a deviation from the 100% route, only sensible for a silly challenge like this. XD
I totally understand that there is a bit of disconnect here though and I hope it didn't ruin the video for you or anyone else!
@@semaJCh i still really enjoyed the video!
@@semaJChyeah lol the clips are not very accessible unless you reeealllly work for it
@@semaJCh I don’t know any botw glitches tbf
@@semaJCh in the same vein, in Majora'sMask you can totally just jump up to that first heart piece by doing a backflip and turning around mid-air to climb the ledge. It's a bit finnicky, but if you're using accessible speedrun strats anyways then l think it's valid :]
You can get a Heart piece way faster in Skyward Sword by going to the pumpkin island
Thank you, this is a good catch, I bet you are right! When I planned out skyward, I was set on the faron woods one since I thought I could dodge all those encounters, but I shouldn't have assumed that would be the case with this game. XD
Piece
I was just about to comment that
All it costs is... a broken chandelier...
@@semaJCh??
I genuinely thought this channel was already old and well established considering the quality this is an insane first video
Too kind! Truly appreciate it! :)
@@semaJChyeah man! But you gotta take advantage of this and hold your audience
@@semaJChliterally me too, i saw your channel and was like "oh obviously this is a veteran youtuber who made a second channel or maybe deleted all their old videos" you're a youtube prodigy!!
This guy just came into existence and started off with a banger
Love this, thank you! XD
@@semaJCh you are a LEGEND I loved this video keep going man!
Damn, this is incredibly high quality for such a new channel, keep going and i bet you will do great
Thank you so much, really appreciate the kind words. :)
Ikr this stuff is top tier
@@semaJCh dude people need to show your channel some love it is very good
I think spirit orbs and lights of blessing should be considered pieces of Heart for this run. They are pieces that add up to a heart container (Or stamina vessel but this is a heart run so) so they should be considered heart pieces.
Wait where's four sword?
If it was going by value though I would have only counted full hearts, at least if I was the one doing this run. He seems to be going for things that are heart-shaped.
I LOVE IT! I learned more about Zelda games than I have ever known 😂
Noice lol
Amazing video and content, so excited to see more in the future! Keep it up!❤
great video! cant wait to see what you come up with next 🙌
Thank you!!! 🦭
I've seen a lot of these types of vids recently, but this is the first one that feels actually well researched. I really appreciate actually putting in the effort for a fun challenge like this!
Really appreciate that! It's exactly what I was going for. I think those kinds of videos are the ones I tend to enjoy so I definitely tried to pull a good level of research into the absurdity of the challenge. XD
Thanks again so much to everyone for checking out my first video! All the support has been unreal and I really couldn't be happier. 😍
We just hit 100 subs which is too incredible! I can't make community posts yet, but I thought I would let everyone know that I am a good amount through the gameplay and routing of the next video. I aim to have it done over the next week. ☺
Hope everyone is doing great and, again, thank you so much for taking the time to check out the channel!!!
Update: I just finished the gameplay and script for the next video (5/30). There was a bit more than I first anticipated in a few sections, but I think it will make the next video all the more enjoyable. Anyways, my new plan is to have it done sometime between June 4th-11th if all goes well! Thanks again everyone, each supportive comment has made my day and gotten me even more stoked for the future. :D
UPDATE 2: OMG the love has been unreal and 500 subs!!! We are halfway to when I can hopefully make updates from the community feature and not the pinned comment. 🤣Anyways, thank you all so so much! The next video is coming smoothly and still planned for sometime this week, really excited for everyone to see and hopefully enjoy it!!!!
UPDATE THREE: 150K VIEWS AND 1K SUBS! UNREAL!!! Seriously, everyone has been so kind and supportive, I can't thank you all enough!
Listening how to get a heart container for the first Zelda game gave me pre RUclips days with video game book guides vibes
I love this! Game guide books were one of my fave things growing up and I have been trying to think how to make a good video on them for a little bit now. XD
If this quality of content keeps up, definitely gonna be a huge creator one day! Good luck man❤
Thank you so much!!! Really glad you enjoyed. I am hard at work on the next video and will try my best to give it my all in each one. :)
4:24 That boss scared the crap out of me
I did not expect this high of quality from a first video, keep up the good work im sure youll start gaining crazy popularity
Too kind, I really appreciate it, thank you!
Given how high quality this video is, you’d think you’d have 100k+ subs. This being your first video is insane. Keep it up man!
Thanks so much, it really means so much to hear that I made something good! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
this is extremely impressive for a first video, i loved it!
So happy to hear, truly means so much! :)
This is a great video, thought you had at least 200k subscribers, you'll get big in no time with that quality!
"After getting... grand theft horse'd??" 😂😂
Also, I love how you use the native "you got a thing!" song for each game. Nice touch!
Wait, only 547 subs, a high quality video AND A NEW CHANNEL!? damn bro, this is way too good! Keep it up
Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed the video!!! :D
In majoras mask, you can get the heart piece as soon as you get out of the clock tower. There is a really easy speedrun trick to get to that ledge without the moons tear.
Thanks for the tip! I should have checked in on that one, I totally missed it XD I liked implementing little tricks like that if they felt easily accessible for anyone so I bet that would have been perfect!
@@semaJCh glad I could help in some way. Keep up the good work! I've been loving the content!
@@TheFriendlyPhantom Thanks so much Phantom, glad you enjoyed!!
Holy crap, I thought I was watching a channel with like 5k subs, and then I checked out your yt XD Man, you're seriously underrated! Thank you for making this! I can't wait to see your channel take off!
There have been so many kind comments and I really can't say how much it means to hear this. :')
No no, I should be thanking you for watching and giving this support!
Stoked you enjoyed! I am hard at work on the next video and I really can't wait for everyone to hopefully enjoy it as well. :D
DAYUM I JUST NOTICED THAT THIS IS YOUR FIRST VIDEO, keep it up this is amazing work
Really appreciate it, thanks so much!
Imo it's a little weird to count heart pieces as a heart container but not spirit orbs/lights of blessing, since they are pretty similar (4 of each = 1 heart)
That's honestly a great point! I funnily made a joke about it, but didn't even think of it that way for the challenge. Honestly, would be interesting too since you could determine the optimal shrine+route combo which might not be a direct pull from the speedruns.
Anyways, my vision for the video was just whichever higher tier heart shaped object could be obtained first to go with the silly theme of supporting Link. :D
@@semaJCh Yeah it does make sense intuitively bc heart piece= heart but spirit orb =/= heart.
If you remove the heart container in the trumbnail it looks like Link is in love but his love doesn't like him 😭😂
Oracle of ages and seasons are so underrated! I owned both as a teen and absolutely loved them, I wish they got more recognition and a remake would make me ecstatic. This was a super fun video to watch.
Ah yes I love the reminder of the classic Zelda enemy/pet - the Bow-Wow. Yes that's what I call chain chomps... I played Link's awakening years before I'd even heard of Mario. The name has stuck.
That perspective is incredible! XD
I think it would be faster to do a navi dive in the lost woods (at the entrance to zora's river), grab a cucco, and glide to the heart piece.
Using b1 skip is definitely faster than what was done.
Wow, that's an impressive first video! Looking forward to new videos :)
Thank youuuuu! Stoked you enjoyed and can't wait to share the next one soon :)
I didn't even know there were that many Zelda games :O
Great Vid!
You can get a piece of heart earlier in oracle of seasons by jumping throught a secret hole to get a secret entrance to the heros cave.
Phenomenal video it was really interesting!
Thank you, means a ton! Glad you enjoyed. :D
New Zelda channel? W
i checked ur sub count and was surprised to only see almost 900 subs :o onward to 1k and more!! looking forward to ur future content and i hope u grow a lot :D
Thank you so much for the awesome support! Glad you enjoyed the video and hope the future ones are just as fun! :D
These are some helpful tips for my complete Zelda run through I’m trying to do soon!
Glad it could help!!! Thanks for watching 😊
Very nice first video, and i can really recommend Oracle of Seasons, its more story based than ages and the future videos will be very epic. Keep it up buddy.
Thank youuuu! Stoked to heat that, the game was way more fun than I was expecting, will have to finish it one day!
I love ages since i feel like the puzzles in seasons are too easy imo
Amazing Video!
Thank youuuuu!!!! :D
surprised to see the clip in tp after taking a looot longer in previous games by doing them glitchless (or even a glitchless trick to get up onto the clocktower heart piece in MM)
no way this was your first video it was amazing!
3:20 no,it’s THE ALMIGHTY CHICKEN
Based on this video I think you will get a ton of subscribers really fast. The video was really high quality and I’m glad I got to be a pretty early subscriber
Really appreciate the kind comment, thanks so much for watching and happy to have you here! :)
New sub. I can't BELIEVE the amount of work you put in and you only have 799, you deserve so much more. Best of luck!
Thank you!!! Everyone has been so sweet about this! Hope everyone enjoys this and my future vids :D
spirit tracks is most definitely a very underrated zelda game and is a personal favorite zelda game of mine
It really was a lot more fun than I was expecting! I have heard the hype about this game recently and need to finish that run some day for sure. :)
These videos are so cool! Would love to see one on how fast you can get the master sword
Glad you enjoyed and fantastic idea, I will def keep that in mind! 😊
First video, and it's already a banger !
Thanks so much!!! :)
I might have to play back through to be certain of this because it has been a while since the last time I played a Link to the past but I think the reason you have to have the latern before you can push the shelf behind the throne seats in the castle is because without it you might be softlocked at worst or forced to backtrack to a point where you could get the latern because I am pretty sure there is a room where the door is locked and you have to light 2 lights to progress so without it you cant get through the area so if I am correct then that means they thought ahead ahead and planned ahead also there is another chest in the castle I think in the cell with Zelda that will have a latern if you dont pick up the latern in your house. Also in Majora mask the Bombers secret code isnt randomized but its decided by the order you find the 5 bomber members so even if there are 120 possible combinations even if you systematically try every possible code all 120 of them none of them would work your first time through none of them would work because at that point the game hasnt decided what that code is or at least that is what I think I am no expert on it so I could be mistaken on this.
It's not that the lantern gives you the strength to move the throne, it's that Zelda refuses to help you push the throne unless you got the lantern.
hell yeah nice first video
If you were willing to use a trick to get a Heart Piece faster in Twilight Princess, why didn't you use a Gainer to grab the Heart Piece in Majora's Mask?
awesome content!
Thanks so much!!! :D
My girlfriend heard you talking about taking a tear from the moon to trade with someone for a piece of a heart and I didn't bother trying to explain anything.
Good vid!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed :)
Its crazy how you got a heart container in almost the same time someone beat botw...
this video is really cool
dude, why do the least known channels make the most entertaining videos
I was so excited (and confused) when I got to glide from the last shrine to the temple in totk
Woah seeing this is ur first video impressed me
How does someone manage to show up out of nowhere, write an engaging script, create an amazing video (already having a great sound setup) and get 6k subs in a month? actually unreal
I really still can't believe I get such kind and thoughtful comments like this and even on the zelda video, thank you so much!
I love making these and I hope you enjoy this and future ones! :)
In totk don’t use ultra hand to ride the thing, just shield surf the rail
God, Oracle of Seasons/Ages really need a remake
THIS, for real! Even the little I got to play was super enjoyable and I didn't even get to play these games growing up so I can't be that biased XD
Keep up he work you gonna get there🎉
Thanks so much, I will try my best! I hope you enjoyed the first video! :)
Cropping that thumbnail gives you a whole new perspective without context
triforce heroes?
That's a great point that I forgot to address! In retrospective, I would have liked to learn and include four swords, but my original list of games didn't seem to include it as a main series game. I might have to make a short for it one day to check the time! :D
If you do any of the early forest escape methods you can get a heart piece in OoT much faster.
Get the sword, pokey skip out, sit through 2 cutscenes, run to lon lon and get the chicken milkhouse heart piece. maybe 15 minutes.
Them in Lttp: do a ton of stuff for a chest with a heart container
Me: break a pot by my bed to get heart
NICE
This was your very first video? Your sub count is gonna climb very fast. I can already smell that
The Oracle games are criminally underrated. They're such good games.
they are one of my favriles zelda series 😁
Oh, we're counting pieces of heart here and not just containers. I thought this was gonna be all containers up until the Link's Awakening section
Im just imagineing link as hes about to get reincarnated again goin " you know what, screw zelda, i just want some friggin heart containers "
There are spicy peppers not even 30 seconds away from the shrine of resurrection in botw
Out of all my years playing through A Link to the Past, I had no idea you couldn't get into the secret passage behind the throne room without the lamp. Also for the miniboss, I always took two of the pots and smashed him.
I was stunned too 🤣🤣🤣
WTH i just watched the whole video and looked at your subs and it didnt match up this was insanely high quality so you deserve atleast a sub from me. Keep it up
Thanks so much, really appreciate the support and glad you enjoyed the first vid! :D
Im curious how many hearts Link would have if he had every heart piece from every game
This makes trying a video on that sounds so fun but also painful. Hmmmm ;D
@@semaJCh Would it be? You just need to find out the max amount of hearts from every game and just add them up
330
Hmm, interesting. Well, I'll count Heart Pieces and Heart Containers and the total amount of extra hearts that can be obtained by them.
Assuming a starting max heart count of 3, that would come out to a whopping 279 max hearts.
@@maxwellmegagamer8535he wants to make that video
Oh, you can actually get a Heart Piece way faster in the Japanese version of Wind Waker, since the chest under Grandma's house contains a Heart Piece in that version.
This is awesome, thank you again!
Most sane Link simp:
You can take the hearthpiece before entering clock town tower by doing a gainer in majora mask
Wth this is your only video? Here have a sub good shit
Really appreciate that, thank you!!!!
I know alot of people don't like spirit tracks but it's one of my favorites because a. It's a zelda game, and b. I love trains lmao, same goes for skyward sword. I just love that game, I had the special edition controller and game for the wii when it came out.
Another banger vid
Glad you liked this one too! :D
206 Subscriber? I was really confused.
Keep up the great work!
Heart Pieces feel like cheating though 😂
no way you started your channel with this quality
I think this would be cooler if you tried getting a health upgrade vs. just any heart-type collectible
For a link to the past I’m assuming they don’t want you going in the dark area without the lantern.
even this brief playing of Skyward Sword screams why its generally loathed.... Fi..... SHUT UP FI!!!
Counting heart pieces really shows how flawed it is when you get to BotW and TotK.
Semaj! I can't believe this is a new channel! Is this a secondary channel? The quality is so good!! Really looking forward to seeing your channel grow. Tell me how fast Leomon loses his life in every series next
That must be the digimon video, thank you so much Wilson ;)
Ya know someone else did this video well before you, but you did give credit, props!
Totally, it was a little heartbreaking when j0rts' video came out and I only had tears left to record after having already spent over a month making my first video and preparing the channel. XD
I did get the impression that both my particular version of the challenge and style of video ended up being significantly different. It has been my goal to put everything I can into starting this channel and giving my all so I am glad I didn't give up.
I want to believe that they or anyone else wouldn't have wanted me to scrap all the work I put into it and hopefully my videos made some people happy despite the similar concepts. I can certainly be wrong though and do apologies if it bother anyone.
Hopefully my future videos help to distinguish my channel and content more! :D
you can do a backflip in majoras mask to skip the entire bombers sequence
How do you only have 500 subs this was so entertaining 😊
Keep posting you legend
In skyward sword you could have just went to the lumpy pumpkin
That's a great point, it seems it would have saved me about 10-15 minutes. I was definitely punished for my mistake with all those forced events in the woods 😂
Definitely play Seasons! Everyone praises Ages, but imo Seasons is so underrated
Great first vid
Thank you!!! :D
I knew you were replying to a suspiciously large number of comments to be an older channel lol. Super impressive kick-off thou. Good stuff.
Actually insane for a first video what the hell
Top tier vidio
watching this reminds the few of their single life
I'm surprised there isn't a faster OoT Heart Piece in the Lost Woods, but I guess they all require items you don't have yet?
That's a lot of time and research
Appreciate the comment! It did take some time, but I had a lot of fun making the video! Hope you enjoyed :)
Oracle of ages was my first zelda game
