With the usual "be at airport 2 hours before International Flight," it is easier to stay at the Holiday Inn Express (breakfast is always included) at Charles de Gaulle Airport. A pleasant shock to the system that rooms are larger than Moxy and AMADANTE :) Please don't forget to Share, Like and Subscribe! Thanks.
I feel your pain re the peripherique. We only drove it once, for attending the Paris Air Show in 1997. Our protocol for driving into or around major cities is, Sunday morning only, at the crack of dawn! We lived in France off and on for 3 years. Mostly Bordeaux region of Graves.
That is so nice, the living in France. What it great or a difficult experience? Spouse Sonny and I almost had a nervous breakdown. Still don’t know how we managed to get to CDG and return the car intact 🙈 A genuine miracle!
@@SheilaSimkin it was a great experience of a lifetime. The French are actually not the worst drivers. That distinction is shared between the Egyptians and the Italians !
@@SheilaSimkin actually, I was a quivering mass of jelly the day we were to turn in the rental car after my husband Steve drove on the left for two months around England, Scotland and Wales in 1992. We hadn't done more than scrape a side view mirror but navigating through a million roundabouts gave me a serious case of anxiety…akin to terror. I was never so exultant as the minute he pulled the car safely into Hertz and my legs were shaking as we got out. I would never have the guts to drive in England.
@@claudiahansen4938 So our experience! 😱
@@claudiahansen4938 I always jump to defense of French people when I hear critique (not about driving) how they are unhelpful, etc. I’ve only had good experiences, e.g., sitting on Metro. stops. everyone gets off. And French woman opposite me says, Finis. You have to get off 😂
Very big by european standards!!! My mom and I actually had a fight bc I said the room was big and she said it wasn't! I said no for US standards but certainly....... She would not believe me that there were smaller rooms out there!
🤣Have to laugh! Too bad I didn't vid the wrong cabin AMA put me in! Teeny, tiny!
You can beat the Holiday Inn Express for a quick, short one night stay near the airport. Breakfast is always plentiful and good.
How very true, Chip. HI Express is always my choice for that inevitable one night before flying home. 👍
I enjoy hotel breakfasts at first, but after four or so days they begin to be tiresome! LOL! Thank you for the video!
It depends where I'm staying, Daniel. Agree that HI, etc., have same-o, same-o, but luxury hotel give me the opportunity to try: crepes, eggs benedict, waffle, avacado on toast, something other than the ordinary. 💖
Good morning! and another trip almost comes to an end :(. As always, thank you for bringing us along.
Hope you enjoy the upcoming series in Egypt as well! So appreciate all your wonderful time to comment. Very best to you and yours, Sheila 🥰
@@SheilaSimkin Well that sounds like it will be exciting! Pyramids with Sheila - long long flight I suspect
@@jameswalde Two flights. First ORD-FRA, then FRA-CAI. Good trip!👍
Good morning😊
Hi Warren. 🥰 Thanks for persisting with "Good Morning." I have been neglecting comments while I edit Egypt vids. Hope everyone enjoys the end results since they are VERY difficult to put together. So much to see. So much information. 🙀Yikes. Anything special planned this weekend?
@@SheilaSimkin staying close to home. Getting a new roller suitcase. No checked bags on our next cruise going through the Panama Canal have a good weekend. Looking forward to your next vids😀
