Here's the recipe: Ingredients: 1 med onion, diced 3-4 garlic cloves minced 1 Jalepeno, diced Tablespoon oil (canola) 1lb ground beef Salt Tablespoon of flour 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp ground oregano 1 can diced tomatoes 12-14 corn tortillas 1.5-2 cups of shredded cheddar or similar cheese. Optional for serving: Pickled Jalapenos Crema or Sour Cream Salsa Hot Sauce Heat a medium-large skillet over medium high heat. Add the tablespoon of oil. Brown the ground beef, add ingredients the tablespoon of flour and a pinch of salt about halfway through. Total time will be about 5-7 minutes. Once the ground beef is browned, remove from the skillet and into a bowl. Set aside for now. Next, in the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and bring back up to temp over medium-high heat. Sauté the diced onion and jalapeño, reserving 1/4 cup of ONION for serving. Add a pinch of salt. After sautéing for 3-5 minutes, add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute or so until fragrant. Add the ground beef back to the skillet with the onions, jalapeño and garlic. Then add the cumin, chili powder, and ground oregano. Stir to combine everything. Then add the can of diced tomatoes (no need to drain), and stir to combine. Taste everything and add more salt or spices if needed. Next add 1/4 cup of water and let simmer until reduced and most liquid is evaporated. Pour the mixture back into the bowl. Get a casserole dish or oven proof skillet ready. Spread a small amount of the beef mixture in the bottom of the dish (about 1/4 cup). In a separate pan, warm a corn tortilla over high heat for just 5-10 seconds and place in the bottom of the casserole dish, repeat process, covering the bottom of the dish. Overlap of tortillas is fine. Cover that with about 1/3 of the beef mixture. Spread about 1/2 a cup of cheese over that. Then repeat this process 1 or 2 more times, depending on how many layers you want in your lasagna. But on the final layer, be sure to add extra cheese! Bake in a 425 degree oven until cheese is melted and the lasagna is heated through, which will be about 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and top with whatever you'd like. Raw onions, pickled jalapenos, salsa and crema are all great options. Then serve and eat!
Thanks for clarifying. I’ll definitely take it into consideration. Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on talking vs. no talking in videos? I made a couple videos recently and I narrate instead of just adding text instructions to the video. Curious to see what people prefer.

I cut out the footage of serving the "lasagna" because most folks were leaving the video before that happened. I'll post a short with that footage included and will post a link here soon.
try heating the tortillas in oil then layering that's what we do with anything we Mexicans....lol, layer tortillas into anything so they don't soak up the liquid to much and get soggy, just an idea for next time.
The Cumin is a little lite and you need at least a tablespoon of good Chili powder. Also instead of just water use Chicken or Beef broth for your liquid. Flavor man. Other than that, very nice idea.
This looks amazing and i will be making it soon! Also, the music great. It sounds like the song that plays during the montage of a heist scene in a movie😂
Good question…I used a metal spatula and had no problem cutting out a slice. Once on the plate, a fork was fine. There were some crunchy edges that were a little tougher, but it was no more difficult than a “normal” lasagna.

I don't need to see you prepping vegetables!! I can do that myself!! Just give me ingredients and show me how to put it together!! Quit milking the thing!!
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 med onion, diced
3-4 garlic cloves minced
1 Jalepeno, diced
Tablespoon oil (canola)
1lb ground beef
Salt
Tablespoon of flour
1 tsp ground cumin

Salsa
Hot Sauce

Sometimes videos don't need music background and if they must be there they should be soft and faint.

Recipe looks good, the music is very annoying.
Sorry you don’t like the music! Do you not like music at all in cooking videos or do you just not like the particular song in this video?
@@TheWrappedScallion I don’t like music in any cooking video.

All you did was make taco'sagna.
What is with the stupid music? Recipe looks ok but the movie soundtrack sucks.
Great comment! This link should help:

I make this occasionally, but I cut the tortillas in half, makes it easier to fill the pan and uses less tortillas.
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll give that a try next time.
Thank you for picking up that piece of onion, I couldn't focus on anything else.

put a wet paper towel under that cutting board so it's not sliding the hell all over the place.
This music makes me feel like I'm watching a spy movie.
😄 Not the intent, but I suppose it could be worse!

Need way more onion and peppers, different kinds of peppers; bell, poblano, anaheim, as well as jalapeño!
Thanks for the tips! Sounds delicious!
So, you made nachos. Looks good! I can make this on game day!
Hope you enjoy! Once you cook in the oven, the tortillas become much "soggier" than Nachos, fyi. Still delicious though.

I’ve never seen or want ground beef that lean.
😆I’m guessing the camera is taking some “fat” off the meat. That’s 70/30, which is the highest fat content I can find where I’m at.
@@TheWrappedScallion well, that’s the good stuff!
Wtf? Where is the recipe?
Not Mexican style lasagna. More like nachos.
I get where you’re coming from. After you bake it though, everything gets pretty soggy and more “casserole” like.
I'm not mad either way
Shouldve added a layer of refried beans and topped with sour cream.
Great suggestion. Will definitely try next time.
I wish i could've seen you dip your spoon it. So are the tortillas soft enough to break up with fork?
