    Mesmerizing and beautiful, especially your flourishes. Thank you for demonstrating your talent. I was amazed how few times you needed to reload ink. And how light your touch, barely skimming the page at times.

      What pen/nib do you like?

    • @jameskellam2980
      @jameskellam2980 2 года назад +1

      @@avanellehansen4525 I try my hand at Copperplate with fountain pens and pencils. I have nibs but I rarely use them,
      too much hassel to set it all up.
      My interest in calligraphy is due to airbrushing at street fairs and festivals, where one quickly finds that lettering chops make you stand out.
      You can put killer letting on a so-so picture and it will still sell. Try putting awrful lettering on about anything, the customers will not be happy.
      Besides that, I quite enjoy making letterforms too. It is all art, isn't it?
      Best wishes,
      James

    Why do u connect the i from the bottom?

    • @PAScribe
      @PAScribe 2 года назад +1

      There are two ligatures for the i, this one is the direct ligature. The other is up and over and is called an indirect ligature.
