- I stumbled across the disturbing truth surrounding the controversial new bill that California is inching closer to passing as law, AB-957.
My daughter came to us in 2017 asking us to take her to a doctor to look into getting on testosterone and having top surgery. She was 15 at the time. You see, she had been on tictoc and was falling under the cultural spell that is plaguing our youth. We adamantly refused, and she became hysterical. We stuck by our guns and told her that while she was in our house, she was under our authority. Fast forward today, and she is a healthy young woman who is happy to be who she is. With laws like these, we might have experienced a completely different outcome. God help us

As a young girl I felt like I was the wrong sex because I liked cars and trucks instead of dollies. However, my mother sat me down and explained that girls, like women like different things. Just because I preferred "boys toys" did not make me a boy. Instead of "affirming my thought that I was supposed to be a boy, she explained that everybody is different in their likes and dislikes.

As a kid I was a huge tomboy. Always playing with boy toys. I hated wearing dresses. I hated having my hair done. I swore to never wear makeup. This bill did pass and was vetoed by the governor based on the fact that the judge based on the fact that the judge can already decide the child’s best interest and sexual identity. Pray for Godly judges across the land.

I work in pharmaceutical research. I told someone about this many years ago. They said “it can never happen that parents will get in trouble because they refused to transition their kids” everyone I told this argued with me. This was like 3-5 years ago. I am in healthcare. I work as a counselor. And no, after granted affirmation treatment, they become much lower then general adolescent suicide attempts or ideation
I tried to tell the nurse where I live in a facility that there was more suicide on trans ones had gone thru one major procedure then ones how had not. He told me that’s not true he started arguing with me and I told him it is true. We just got a look at the facts.

When I was 14 years old, I didn't even know what the word transgender meant. Nowadays, we have underage children who want to be transgender. The government, school board, and media are responsible for what's happening to our poor kids. The school board is fighting so hard to prioritize incarnating LGBTQ ideas in underage children and taking their innocence away, which would have been unbelievable and mind-boggling just 10 years ago, but now it's normal. The deceiving media made people completely lose their grasp of reality. Kids in schools are taught, pushed, and encouraged to believe that this is normal. If this is not child abuse, I don't know what is.

In the 90s, I took a part time job as an counselor in an ab@rtion clinic. (I know). Naively, I thought I could support women and girls, help them get to the root of their choices and at least make sure they knew there were alternatives, their life wasn't over, etc.
During training, 1) there was NO counseling going on. There was an official checklist of stuff to say (briefly), then it was either schedule the procedure or escort them to the procedure room.
2) The *VAST majority of the counselors were....lesbians* I couldn't understand why, especially since they had no dog in that fight.
A co-worker, a "Christian" nurse, had no issues with the job and had recommended me, but I decided when I walked out after my first and last actual shift, I'd never let a job send me to jail or to hell. If God led me to counsel, I could do it on the sidewalk.

I live in Texas. Our divorce decree already has a code for mental health and family health care. The code states that both parents have to agree on which counselor the child gets to see. This code is most likely already existing in Cali as well. They need to stop trying to write new laws that defy the ones already in play to conform to your agenda. I watched a video last night of a Trans who started transition at 13 and is now 22 and the doctors lied to her and her family. She lives with a regret she cannot reverse. She had a full body transformation even her bottom because those doctors told her should would become a biological female. This is going too far to make a parent lie to their child and pretend with them in a false reality. I was confused growing up as well. My parents didn't know but I was very uncomfortable in my body and I felt more comfortable in boy clothes. I hated the way I looked and felt. I'm thankful that I didn't have this crap shoved down my throat at 13 when I started feeling uncomfortable in my skin. I grew out of it and so did my girl friends who was going through the same issues. Thank you, Lord I was not affirmed in my false reality!

I lived in California for many years and when I was 22 I moved to Texas on my own. I always thought after I finished my degree I would move back to CA but I'm so thankful I didn't. I went back home a few years ago and was appalled at the state of things. My husband (born and raised in TX) said "Good Lord Kristina, I'm so glad you got out of here!"
I was born and raised in Southern California. I left in 94. I have been back a handful of times since then and it is truly sad what has become of California. I am so thankful I left.

I’m a single mom , and my daughter was in private school most of her life…6 months into putting her into a public SoCal school she started having panic attacks, she would call me every lunch period just to talk with her during lunch , and the counselor was taking her into their office to encourage her to explore her sexuality( secretly) . She was so frightened that 1 week before Christmas break she told me she wasn’t going back or she would break down. I sent her to my parents out of state, left my job within 3 months and got a home where my parents were. I don’t have the money I once did, and my daughter took a further plunge down, as she had some traumatic experiences to work through , but it all paid off. She is doing much better, and is thinking about school and moving forward again. They tried to grab my daughter , but I hightailed it out of there quickly before permanent damage was done. I would NEVER raise a child in the California school system unless you have a rock solid family. They look for the kids who are vulnerable. Even then I think it’s risky.

Um no. Gender affirming care reduces rates of suicidality. I used to be suicidal because of gender dysphoria. I medically transitioned and am no longer suicidal due to gender dysphoria because my gender dysphoria is largely gone.

You can not get a tattoo, in a shop- technically legally, until you are 18 and have an ID. You also sign paperwork’s for it. That’s a permanent mark on your body and changing your gender is an even more extreme permanent version of changing your body. You can remove a tattoo, or cover it up some hats easily compared to how you’d change your gender. It’s an emotion and psychical change. If I had gotten the tattoos I wanted at like 10 I would definitely regret them today. You have to mature to understand things like that and they’re literally trying to just get people while their younger and don’t know better. Evil. The things we have to talk about to our children now verses what we used to for what was appropriate for their ages is completely different now. I have a 9 year old that won’t even understand most of this and I have to step up as a parent to try and figure out how to explain and prevent this. The enemy is just a pain to deal with, I’m tired of the devil. Children shouldn’t even be aloud to make or have any choices that are life defining or soul changing. It says it’s going to get worse and this looks like worse so there’s a chance stuff like this, if not now, will happen before God calls who He chooses to call up. I can’t stand much worse, it’s already bad and it’ll get worse…
Getting a tattoo isn't compatible to getting gender affirming care. I say this as someone who medically transitioned and has tattoos. Gender affirming surgery has a super low regret rate. And it's not even being done on kids. Until puberty it's just a social transition. Cutting your hair, changing, your clothes, and using a different name has no permanent impact. You can always change those later.
No one grows up believing they were born with the wrong tattoo. So this metaphor doesn't work.

It’s never good when the government gets between FAMILY matters! Talk about over stepping your authority! Leave our children alone!
Unfortunately, every single day, the government gets between Family Matters. Custody battles happen every day. You have unscrupulous attorneys who get their clients to file restraining orders against the other parent. This will get that parent a "leg-up" on getting primary custody. It also forces the other parent to defend themselves, as they treated as if they are presumed guilty. In California, the judge will automatically (with absolutely no evidence) sign a temporary restraining order, which could actually remove a parent from the home for several weeks. The restrained person has to go back to court in several weeks to defend against it being permanent. I've seen families destroyed by this ugly tactic. In fact, in the Van Nuys court, they have nothing but family restraining orders during sometime in the morning. Parents fight and use the court as a weapon. It's despicable. Courts can force parents to pay hundreds and thousands of dollars to go through a psychological "assessment," when someone makes an accusation. There are times when the courts need to get involved, when there are true accusations. BUT, the courts are way too involved with family matters, mostly because of vindictive and hateful parents. Sorry about the rant, but I'm an attorney, and I have seen this ugliness, face to face.
If it involves children being harmed they should get involved. A parent has no right to cause psychological harm to their child just because they don't think trans is a thing or their religion doesn't agree with it. Religion is never an excuse to harm a child.
