Properly cleansing your face should be the first step in your skincare routine. Improper cleansing can lead to dryness and acne breakouts. Here are 5 tips to make sure you're cleansing your face properly, and getting the most out of your skincare products.
1. Pick a cleanser that's right for your skin type.
2. Take your time. Don't be too quick, and don't over-cleanse either. Cleanse for about 30-60 seconds.
3. Be gentle. Your skin is fragile. Do not excessively pull or tug at your skin.
4. Don't use hot water. Hot water on your skin can remove your skin's protective oils and natural barrier.
5. Cleansing wipes do not the the same job as a facial cleanser. Cleansing wipes are good in a pinch, or as a quick first step, but shouldn't replace a proper facial cleanse before the rest of your routine.

thank you for tips, i look back finding myself doing stupid things to my skin and not even realizing it, when i had a spotless face at the age of 12, i rubbed a towel roughly on my face to dry off, not knowing years later i would have acne because of it, i regret doing that now and i want to have a spotless and clean face again and keep it that way this time, so than you so much for these tips, great help girls!

I’ve learned in a beauty school that if you’re talking about micellar water, it’s best if you use it to clean your makeup, then you should use a gel or foam cleanser to clean off the rest of the dirt off your face, then tone your face and go ahead with a gentle exfoliator and tone again and then put on a moisturizing face cream for your skin type. You can also add a mask in the middle but toning your face is important after a mask and dont wash the toner off.

Wash hands with soap, wet face with lukewarm water, apply facial cleanser, rinse face with lukewarm water.

If you are wearing make up you should consider having a double cleanse system. If you don't wear make up you can just use a cleanser and no face soap

@@yoayis It's not necessary, but you can use it. Using both may dry out your skin, depdending on your skin type. If that happens you can just go in with a micellar water to clean off the makeup and a cleanser afterward.
