  • What did Buddha Realize, When He Achieved Enlightenment? This truth shocked the Entire Universe.
    #enlightenment #buddha #buddha #feeling
Welcome back to the Ego podcast. In our previous episode, we delved deep into "The Buddha's Enlightenment: What Did He Realize?"
    • What Did the Buddha En...
We discovered a very important conclusion: The object of reality is Feeling (Vedana).
To understand this better, we explored the concept of reality, a vast category that includes everything present in the moment. Reality is perceived through human senses, such as sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and consciousness. This leads to the classification of reality objects into six categories: form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and mental objects. Human perception of reality is often linked to the material world through the six senses: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind.
However, if we observe correctly and deeply, we will see that reality is not the fixed and inherent material world we often understand. Reality only arises when there is an interaction between the six senses and the six objects according to the principle of Dependent Origination. For example, when the eye and a form object interact, we not only see the image but also generate a feeling about that image. Similarly, when the ear and a sound object interact, it creates a feeling of sound; nose and smell object, feeling of smell; tongue and taste object, feeling of taste; body and touch object, feeling of touch; and consciousness with mental objects, feeling of mental objects.
The Buddha realized that reality is Feeling, not the material world. The objects of reality are six types of feelings: image, sound, smell, taste, touch, and mental objects.
Today, we will continue this journey by exploring the workings of the mind, a crucial part of the Buddha's enlightenment. We will discover that the knowing mind is the Buddha's enlightenment. The knowing mind is divided into two types: Direct knowing mind and Indirect knowing mind. We will delve deeper into this division and its role in perceiving reality.
Let’s embark on the next part of the journey to explore the mind and the Buddha’s enlightenment."
Chapter 1: What is the Mind?
In the Buddha's enlightenment journey, two key aspects need exploration: What did he realize, and how did he achieve it? To deeply understand these, we must grasp two core concepts in Buddhist philosophy: direct knowing through the senses and indirect knowing through consciousness.
    Direct knowing through the senses:
Psychology calls this sensory perception of objects. In Buddhism, it is classified into a group called the aggregate of perception (Sanna Skandha). These are eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and mental consciousness. It arises due to the interaction between the six senses and six objects, making it impermanent, ownerless, and non-self (anatta). These direct knowings are the same for both the enlightened and the ordinary, for all animals, regardless of individual knowledge, understanding, or experience. They do not contain concepts, words, or discrimination (non-conceptual, non-verbal, non-discriminative). Each direct knowing only acknowledges or recognizes one single object as it is without adding or subtracting knowledge or concepts, making it true knowing of the object at the sensory level. Many religions misunderstand this direct knowing as the soul, as the seeing, hearing, and knowing nature that is neither born nor dies within each person.

Buddhism to my heart soul, and to my beliefs is that when I try to do my best with kindness, respect, love and with compassion. This is only for my knowing of my rooted relationship with Buddhism religion: I am well aware of my small portion of Buddha knowledge, however I just do my very best to a good human being and refused to harm others or even the world. Indeed self destructive behavior is only trying to reserve for me and me only. At my young and naive young, I am sure I have done many wrong and refused to stay wrong. This is just my life belief about Buddhism 🙏🏻

no Buddhist can explain this to me yet.. but if there is no self, no soul, and according to Buddhism rebirth is basically the 5 aggregates coming together again, why should I bother achieving Nirvana? Why do I care if the current life's 5 aggregates come together in the next life, with completely different consciousness and no recollection of the past life?

The Buddha never said that there is Self or Soul but that there is no Fixed and Permanent Self. This means that the thing that you are changes due to the presence or absence of phenomena. As you grow up so you're values and guiding principles might change due to experiences or different information. Therefore the essence of what you are adjusts.

Before Buddha Shakyamuni appears three thousand years ago, is there anyone that can help sentient beings to transcend the reincarnation of birth and death? No one can!
Shakyamuni Buddha manifested into this world for only one mission :
To teach sentient beings the method to transcend the reincarnation of birth and death and exit the Six Realms forever.
Because sentient beings' afflictions are too heavy and too deep, the Buddha had to use 84000 expedient means to teach these heavily deluded sentient beings.
Otherwise, the Buddha needs only to expound only one supreme sutra, The Infinite Life Sutra.
What sutra, is the Infinite Life Sutra?
Infinite Life Sutra teaches sentient beings to attain Buddhahood.
Infinite Life Sutra teaches sentient beings, in one life to attain Buddhahood.
Infinite Life Sutra teaches sentient beings, in one lifetime, guarantee to attain the Universal Equality Buddhahood.
Infinite Life Sutra is the only Sutra spoken by two Buddhas at the same assembly.
Shakyamuni Buddha expounded the Infinite Life Sutra and the 48 Great Vows were personally delivered by Amitabha Buddha.
This is the most inconceivable moment at the Vulture Peaks that has never happen before and it will never happen again in the future.

It is about evolution of the heart. When an individual selfless heart or servicing to other attitude have cross 51 percent than the desire for enlightenment will naturally arises. Much of his sufferings will arise from being a good person. Carrying this seperate ego painful good feeling is not ideal. The longing to be free from a good ego that have soft heart become a new task.

Once you have seen the causes to the moment to moment birth within by using non judgmental awareness then to exist as a separate self become a pain. Gradually you will gain wisdom through the practice of awareness. Gradually the state of just being rather than being something will become available to you. This is the Western style which is different than the monk teaching. Buddha said be simple and focus at middle path. This video contains good info, but too complicate and rigid strategy.

What did Buddha know about suffering? As a Prince, his every wishes were fulfilled by hard working servants the moment he expressed them. As a husband and father, he failed to fulfill his responsibilities by leaving like a thief in the middle of the night without saying a word. As an ascetic, he caused himself much unnecessary suffering by stupidly starving himself to death. As a teacher, he lived off the backbreaking hard work of others.
