  • All Things Are Rooted in Desire - That’s What The Buddha Said.
    #enlightenment #desire #buddhism
All things are rooted in desire. That’s what the Buddha said. Sometimes Buddhism is characterized as not appreciating how important desire is. But this statement shows that the Buddha realized that this is what we are: We come from desire, we’re born because of desire and craving. He says that without the craving, a being wouldn’t be able to make it from one life to the next. The being itself is defined by its desires, by its attachments. In other words, we define ourselves by what we want.
What this means, of course, is that we’re also defined by our frustrations. All too often our wants get frustrated. Either we don’t get what we want; or when we get it, we find that it’s something different from what we thought it was; or it seems to be what we thought was, but it doesn’t last. All of which is frustrating. So the Buddha said that the only way out is to go beyond desire.
But desire’s not something you can simply drop. You have to learn how to refine it, take it apart.
The first step is realizing that desires are not just one thing. There are lots of desires for lots of different things. You hear people talking about desire as a single cosmic force. You hear them telling you that what you really want in life is wholeness or completeness or to be fully in the present moment, or whatever. Those are actually many things that you might want. They’re not the one thing that every desire is aiming at. You have an itch and you . You have a hunger, and you try to assuage it.

This is why scientists need to meditate - having moulded the mind - in the wake of ever present desires.
This method stated here - can really help with research and happiness - for human interaction with each other and the Nature - we live with. Even character building can be achieved - in essential simplicity.
Thank you for the effort and clear explanations.
Fare thee well - on life's journey.

    All is rooted in desire.
Hence desire is the root of suffering.

    What is true well-being?
The body is peaceful, our mind is peaceful.
Mind free of bad thoughts, body free of bad deeds, mouth free of bad speech.
Body and mind are peaceful, day and night there's nothing to worry about.
With no desire or no wishes nor seeking.
When one's mind is free of concerns, one is truly enjoying well-being.
We are now living in a very unstable and chaotic period.
In this current environment, serenity and a peaceful mind are true good fortune.

All sufferings are rooted in the unconscious reaction of the mental activity.

Bad deeds committed, there are millions of karmic eyes looking at you. Bad affinity will take you down to the Three Evil Paths. .
This is the power of karma.
When karmic affinity of evil deeds become stronger it will over-ride the weak virtuous deeds.
When the virtuous karma start to dim , retributions from evil will gain strength, and will take charge of your affinity. This is the principle.
At the end of their lives, all their karmic creditors will show up to take their revenge and one will suffer the retributions.
The karmic foes and creditors from this lifetime and past lifetimes will come to take one's life if one owes life, collect debts if one owes them etc.
We often hear of such scenarios especially when they are about to die.
These karmic creditors will impersonate as their relatives or parents, and they will follow them.
