Region free and works with USA NTSC ps3. This is just a short video clip of me playing thru stage one. If you're a Macross or Robotech fan you will like this game. The Story mode is 7 stages. After beating the game for the first time you Unlock what seems like the "hard mode".
I just finished the "hard mode" and I was able to unlock 3 extra stages where you can play as a Zentraedi soldier, Meltran, as Miriya and as a Battlepod pilot. I really like this game. You can also Unlock other things like certain characters, pilots and certain features of you Valkyrie. (the more you play the more things you can unlock)
Controls are simple- PS3 default controller-Triangle is for Melee, Square for GunPod, Circle is to lock on and fire missiles, X is for boost. Left stick to move around, Right stick to convert / Transform to Fighter,Gerwalk and Battroid modes. R1 and L1 helps you to turn and locate the enemies or objectives.
It's pretty easy to figure out even if you cant understand the Japanese instructions. (tho I really wish this was in English)

Hi, the game came with the 2012 bluray movie (both in one blu-ray disc).
"Macross do you remember love" and I believe the PS3 game , when translated is called "my boyfriend is a pilot" all from the Macross saga, not Frontier.
They do have a Macross Frontier Hybrid game pack also, I've seen them floatin around ebay for about the same price.
Just got this game from Hobbylink Japan... and It is effing Awesome... :D
I'm playing this in 2024. Really appreciate your control breakdown, and the encouragement to beat hard mode. I just got S ranks on all 7 normal stages. Now to try hard mode.
Any additional tips?
The the movie have any option for English subtitles? I'm certain the game doesn't but just wondering about the film, even though I've already seen the film many times so I know what's going on.
Great… they came out with a good Robotech game and I can't get it in english. This makes me want to start ranting.

That is awesome!!! I have the hybrid pack for the first Macross Frontier Movie! There is another Macross game with the second hybrid pack! Looking to get both. Does this game have a 3D model section? The Frontier game does! That is one of the coolest parts of the game! U can transform it and play around with it! I'll post a video of it soon!
So far I unlocked everythig up to the Ultimate levels.
I dont think it has the 3d model section, unless it's something I missed.

Thanks for commenting, I find this game a perfect supplement to the Blu ray DVD movie and not meant to be a stand alone video game. Aside from that, it actually is a well made (graphics wise) game compared to the previous disastrous ones (US version-Robotech) games.

This game is really, really good, but I like the Japanese Macross game for the PS2 more than this. In the game for the PS2 you play through all of the battles from the Macross tv series and also all of the events from the movie "Do You Remember Love?", so it's a complete Macross experience.
I find the controls better as well.
And no, it isn't Robotech, it's the original Japanese Macross, and the language is Japanese. I live in Canada and don't speak Japanese, but I know the story inside and out so not speaking the language doesn't bother me during the gameplay.

I know its been awhile,...but basically if you just started playing, eventually you will figure out what the buttons are for.
I dont speak or read Japanese, but I just got the hang if it after playing a few levels.

Es un juego especial que vino al comprar el Bluray de Macross Do You Remember Love? + Flashback 2012.
El juego, como juego de Macross pues... no es la gran cosa.
Tiene algunos fallos un poco molestos, como que el SDF 1 y la fortaleza de Bodolza'a, no están a la misma escala de los VF-1, como le pasa al Macross VO, para PC.
Y no es muy largo, la verdad.
