This game blew my mind as a kid
Yeah, like you got the aim assist HUD, the 3D radar and a bunch of stuff that really made you believe you were piloting a high tech mecha
Its really heartwarming that people would still play this every so often to replay their nostalgia :)
It was really good.
Bruh. Its 2022 and I ordered this on ebay because I lost mine years ago. Time to make a return. Funny, this is the main flight game where I will iterate arcade flight controls.

I rented this from blockbuster and convinced my mom that the dog ate it up and that shed need to pay blockbuster for it because they only had 1 copy on the shelf and i was tired of fighting that 1 other poor kid for the rental every couple weeks

I remember playing this on my buddy's ps2 after school when I was 7. I forgot that it even existed until The Algorithm sent me here, it was like that scene in shitty movies when the main character has amnesia and everything comes back to them all at once. wack

Man I’ve been playing a lot of underrated adventure games muso games and fighting games and some racing and after playing ps2 a lot lately I don’t want to play remaster or remakes wich I really hate remakes mabye shadow of the colossus on ps3 hd cause better fps but ya like sly and prince of Persia games I just play on original ps2 there is a lot of underrated games I can recommend to you if you want
back in the era when 8 y/o me just bought games based on cool cover art, or rented games based on Blockbuster’s back-of-the-box printout of the game controls (“oh, Y Button = Launch Missiles? must be a good game”) lolol:

why does it look so good? im playing on my ps2 with hdmi convert i also have a crt television i can run old school composite on. neither have the clear image crisp lines nor fill the screen without stretching...how'd you do it?
Its on an emulator, he probably has some anti-aliasing turned on to remove some jaggies

The controls and look of this game were spot on but the level design and missions were boring. What it needs is a remake the focuses entirely on player vs player dueling.
Dude remembered this game but never the name just googled "mech/airplane playstation 2" and found this video brought back some good memories
