This video is used as an internal training video for our technicians at Bridge Cable. Service tickets document what was completed for a client and are a crucial part of any project.
In this video, we will show you how to properly fill out a service ticket so that you have all of the information you need in the future.
A service ticket includes basic information such as the client name, date, number of technicians and their names, time in and time out, total number of hours worked, address of the site and site contact information. Along with this more basic information, the ticket also includes a description of the work that was included, and more importantly, the materials used. In the materials used section, technicians should write down what exact materials were used, how much of the material was used and how much that material cost.
All pricing of our materials is listed on a document that we keep updated, and if any of our technicians do not have a copy, they can always access the document on Company Cam and print one out.
The customer’s signature and job code number are also on the service ticket and should be filled out. At the end of Bridge Cable’s service ticket, we have a note reminding technicians to put company stickers and/or magnets (if permitted) on the IT equipment to leave our mark.
Also, there is a QR code that the client can scan and leave a Google review. At Bridge Cable, we value our customers’ opinions above anything else and truly love it when they take a few minutes to share their experience with us.
