Hey Brian, hearing a dealership raise the price over sticker by 10k is a crime and should be illegal.
What makes this even worse is that you worked for the dealership and if anything they should keep the vehicle at MSRP for you. My personal feeling would be to walk away from this dealership and trash the dealership and the GM on the internet. They don’t deserve the business, would definitely post buyer beware on this dealership. Keep looking and you will find a true loyal dealership…

That tundra you own is more valuable than that Ford so don’t pay that extra 10 K and keep your tundra. My wife drives a tundra and absolutely loves it. You will have less problems with that Toyota in the long run. And keep trashing the dealership on the Internet for what they did to you that is absolutely horrible.

I’m in Pittsburgh and now will never go to Moon Twp Ford, regardless of how they handle this. I’m getting my Bronco for $1000 under invoice, but I did get it in writing when ordering. I would not pay the $5k over either as even though a small group of dealers may be charging a high ADM, thousands of dealers are offering MSRP. If this is how they treat a 19 year employee, imagine how they treat regular walk in customers.

Didn't you get the MSRP Deal in writing when you ordered it? If you didn't then I'm not surprised at all they are marking it up. I've bought several cars (long wait lists, high demand), and I always get MSRP in writing. I've had people offer me 10K, 20K over what I bought my cars for on the same day I purchased it. There are a lot of people with money to waste and they are willing to pay way over MSRP just to be one of the first. But I've always kept my cars (one of the first production numbers and MSRP) because I was smart enough to get on the waiting list, order the car, get MSRP in writing, so I keep the vehicle, even though I could easily flip them for 20K over MSRP. But then I wouldn't get to be one of the first to enjoy the vehicle. IF you got the deal MSRP IN WRITING then I'd be getting a lawyer and they'd be selling you the Bronco for MSRP.

I have an Outer Banks on order with my dealer and I went through this exact question with them multiple times. I told them that based on my research if I'm able to find a Bronco here in the wild, which is possible, at least here in NorCal. However, IF I found a random Bronco in the wild, I would likely pay a Mark-up of $5k. Dealers are able to Mark-up some Bronco b/c roughly 10% of the Total Bronco stock are dealer vehicles they can sell, but 85-90% of Bronco are direct order. But, some of those orders will fall through and those dealers can then sell those Bronco's for a Mark-up as well. BUT, if you Reserve online, and wait for your order I was told that I would be guaranteed MSRP. I was told this by multiple sales reps and multiple dealers, but all of this was in California. I've also found similar language on various Ford Reports and some of the internal memo's that have came out recently. So if you wait for your specific order and they still attempt to charge you a Mark-up... Even a $5k mark-up you can REPORT that Dealer to Ford. They will LOSE Inventory Allocation and Ranking by doing stunts like that. Some dealers will still do that, even knowing that they will be placed on probation or lose allocation... But, you shouldn't even have to pay the additional $5k you offered. I would report them to Ford, if you haven't yet. So sorry to hear about this terrible experience. If I heard it right and you really worked at that very dealership for 19 years, that's absolutely disgraceful. They should be ashamed.

Which of course I didn't because they make the process for ordering and reserving so difficult that you're just happy to receive your printout when it's finally over. But like you I asked and they all said to a t that the only way to get the vehicle without a markup was by ordering. If you are that emotional then the best thing to do that day was to go home and think about it for awhile. The fact that someone is raising the price just Cause they can I would tell the Ford dealer to shove it and go spend that 62,000 on a brand new 2021-2022 GX 460 Lexus. Now that is a vehicle and will last you guys a lifetime.

This is America and it is and will always be about the money. $ 5,000 or $10,000 above the sticker is great if you earn $ 300, 000 or more to tickle your short term fancy. In the long run buy it a couple of years down the road when the manufacturer has ironed out most of the inevitable bug.. Good luck.

Heard from a retired salesman , they don't know the cost of the vehicle just the owners know ,and you can get any where from 5--8 thousand below sticker and they still will make a profit. So if you pay above sticker your getting screwed.

I am certain I got screwed but on a vehicle at this price point they aren't making nearly that much at sticker.

Walk away. Don’t reward bad behavior by the dealer and ultimately Ford. I get that we are living in dynamic times and this chip shortage is killing dealers, but stories like this show that both have zero integrity. You make a deal, you stand by it. I wouldn’t pay a penny over the original deal you made.

I haven’t watched a follow up video, but I hope you didn’t pay a dollar over Msrp. It’s a car, they will make more. If you have money to blow fine do it, but if you are not loaded you shouldn’t waste 5k. Anyone who remotely cares about 5k should not just waste it by giving it to a dealer who is trying to extort you. And I don’t mean “we can afford it”. I mean if 5k blew out your window on the highway you could laugh and not turn around- then go for it- otherwise no.

Wow, this is just disrespectful and greedy from the dealership. I can’t even believe they are doing that knowing that u r filming and gonna talk about it. Here in saudi arabia if the dealership raise only one dollar above MRSP or at least the original price u both agreed on; just a phone call to the ministry of commerce and investment and they will fine the dealership, post it on the newspaper and give you your original price. U dont even need to file a law suit or anything they will take care of everything.
Anyways , i hope u guys enjoy your Bronco and thank you for keeping us aware about such corrupt corporate that people should stay away from.

She ordered the car and the dealer raised the price at delivery? It's my understanding that before the dealership will order the car... #1. If you're financing they will check your financing to make sure that everything is in order. #2. You and the dealership have to agree on the selling price of the car. #3. Buyer and seller sign a contract #4. Dealer orders the car. #5. You wait for delivery of the vehicle. #6. When the vehicle is delivered you pay the amount that was agreed upon in the contract. Did you sign a contract? Was the selling price of the vehicle included in the contract?

    • @PIPSBURGHVIEWS
      @PIPSBURGHVIEWS  2 года назад

Didn't have to check for finance when ordered because they knew me, didn't sign a contract because I thought I knew them.......my mistake

Very unfortunate, had working at 2 dealerships its hard knowing how screwed some people get and can people can sleep like babies at night. I had a friend quit do to not feeling good about what he does. Even as an employee I got screwed over decently. They'll get what's coming to them. Just wait there will be a overage of cars and no one will be able to buy due to car loans being more then what they're worth.

Real bastards for doing that. I hope they get a lot of bad press and customers avoid buying anything at this dealership. Always get a quote in writing and signed by the dealer. Only way you can take action when they try to screw you. Hope you find another Bronco for your wife. Good luck.

Any dealer that marks up a price over MSRP is a crooked dealer and you should never do business with them. The only exception to that is if the vehicle is a limited edition item like the Ford GT. On a regular production vehicle, even when they first come out this is just poor business practices.

No way in hell my friends.... The dealership is just proving why everyone hates dealerships and how big a crooks they are, have been and probably always will be.
I would wait another three years and get one then after their a common vehicle. Buying a vehicle after you get screwed in such a manner just some forces that they think they were right and that's how they will always do business because they can bend people to their will. We have to stand up or this type of business practice will never change.
