"Claire doesn't like it, so I get rid of it, that's how I survive." Lmao that's a great line.
I read your comment first and so I watched & waited to hear him actually say it 😂🤣😂🤣 🙌
Hahaha as the saying goes here in my country. "Happy wife, happy life." 😅
He's figured out how to survive. What a smart man....
I laughed so hard when he said that 🤣
Smart man Happy wife long life
I like how you are trying to give the details of the original recipe but still giving alternatives and tips to make it easier so we can make it even though we don't have all of the ingredients. Thank you so much, I shall give it a try
Hadeelk So glad to hear that! Give it a try and let us know! :D
I just love how this channel understands the struggle of some of us getting our hands on some the ingredients so they not only give us alternatives, but he uses them too!
Dennis Yoo We're here for you guys! 👍😊
Me: I have orange juice in the fridge..wonder if i can use it?
Aaron: If you are thinking about using orange juice, stop right there
Me: HAHAHAHAH he read my mind lmao
loverosecandy I knew it! 😎 Stop right there!! 🤣🤣🤣
You can use Apple or pear
sneed
I also thinking about the orange juice in my fridge
Man, if you've never heard of or don't own Gochujang and Korean pepper flakes, your life suuuuucks. Get both. Worth the money and you can use it for anything. Deeeeeeeelicious.
I Am Trump's Comb Over tbh i dont like the taste of gochujang 😐 i only use a tiny bit if anything :/
Trueeee
@@DayoOgunde Gochujang, for me, I have to adjust it, too, sometimes. Depends on the day and my tummy. Especially, if I'm cooking/prepping for others. Really, Gochujang is so incredibly complex, flavorful with heat level associated with measurable amounts. But, even a tsp highlights a dish. I see why you'd want to limit the use for sure.
I have two kinds of gochujang in my fridge one is much sweeter. It definitely has a unique taste compared to other hot sauces. I've come to love it. I use the hotter one the most.
Aaron is such a good cook and he makes everything look so easy!!!
Dianne Houston Yay~! 😎😎😎😁
“More green onion. More delicious.” -Aaron 2020
Keedai Kim 😁😁😁😅
Can any one deny this?
I love how you tell us what can be substituted and what can’t. I had a roommate once, who was trying to make Thai food and she substituted Italian basil for Thai basil. I’m like “No no no no. They’re two different flavors.”
I’m loving your sense of humor, bro!
Edie Xiong Thank you! 😉
I was stationed in Korea almost 20 years ago. Going out for Dakgalbi was an experience I'll always remember, and have made it at home many times since.
Jesse McAllister You still miss that Dakgalbi..😍😍😍
Aaron and Claire so much that I am just now leaving the closest the Korean grocery, which is an hour drive from me😂. I picked up some of that curry powder to see what kind of difference it makes in the flavor!
Thank you for making all the ingredients easy !! Love you guys 😍
I'm really loving the cooking videos keep them coming! It's great to learn recipes from locals than going from the cook books.

I absolutely love this channel! Claire always looks so excited and like she enjoys everything Aaron makes plus she's so cute! I think she has adorable chipmunk cheeks! I also just love that Aaron always has her preferences in mind when he makes food for her, like how she doesn't like the chicken skin and he cuts it off even though he likes it.
I tried his other recipes and I can’t wait to try this one that are always so good
Your optimism and happiness always keeps me going
Your commentary really elevates your videos to the next level. "That's how I survive."

I love your clear and simple instructions. Thank you for giving people who do not live in Korea good alternatives to certain ingredients. I am definitely going to try it.
I was living for 4 years in Malaysia and we were going to dakgalbi restaurant almost every week 🤣😂 we spent a lot of money there, we really addicted to dakgalbi, I tried few times to cook it ,I took the recipe from another famous RUclips channel , but the taste turned out something wired 🤪 I can say this recipe is exactly same as restaurant!! Even better bcz there’s no MSG in it, I’m very happy to find this recipe . Literally he saved my money 😂😂 in my opinion dakgalbi is the most delicious food in the world😋🤤🤤

i've made this probably 10 times in the past year and all i can say is wow, perfection. my husband, who misses the food from korea quite a bit, said i could make this in a restaurant in seoul and no one would know i'm not korean. i think that says it all 😊 i like to add mushrooms because that's just who i am as a person, definitely recommend.

I love that Korean marinade always contains some fruits. Yummm
It looks so goood!!!
I used calamansi juice (kinda like lime or lemon but smaller and sweeter) and OMG THIS RECIPE TASTES SO GOOD!!!! Marinating it for a longer period (>1 day) makes all the difference! Thanks for sharing this ♥️😊
I tried it and it's great!
Love your videos and really wanted to try some out. I bought some Korean ingredients online and made Dak Galbi for my first Korean meal. It was absolutely delicious - so thank you both for such a clear recipe and thoroughly entertaining "how to" video! You should definitely think about publishing a cook book - or even a TV series!
thank youbso much for these aarron and claire..it reminds me of how beautiful korea was.
Lovella Andarza 😍😍😍

Woo been waiting for a dakgalbi recipe for a while. Thanks for the video. And I like how you always give alternatives and shortcuts for the recipes as well! Makes me want to try it. Otherwise it's just too much work like u said.
Just subscribed to your channel today!! I love it!!
Stel Lee Welcome to our channel! 🥳
Thank You for this awesome recipe. Made Dakgalbi
and white rice for my family dinner. Everyone enjoyed.
I'm so haapy to hear that! Thanks for sharing. 😁😁😊
I love this!! Thank you so much for going into detail and saying what can be switched and added if we can't get it. This is one I can totally try at home since even though we can only go once a year to an Asian grocery store it seems like that's when I update my gochujong hehehe.
looks amazing!!
no_chefs_here 😉😉😉😘
There is (or at least was in 2015) a restaurant in Myeongdong that served dakgalbibokeumbap and I have been craving it for SO long! I think I will try making it with this recipe!
Gonna try this it looks amazing ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ makes me hungry
Whenever Aaron mentions a Korean product, I dash across to Amazon and put it in my wishlist. Don't know when I will use it but I know it is there. Also because of him, I ALWAYS buy green onions every time I go to the grocery
"If you've ever been to Korea, you definitely have tried this and you're still missing it, right?"
You have never been more right! I left a part of my soul in those dakgalbi restaurants. Thank you for the video, I'll have to try this!
You are so funny. 🤣🤣 If you need the written recipe for details, please check our blog as well. Hope you like it~! 🤞😉 aaronandclaire.com
Oh my gosh sammmmmeeee!!! I have been looking for the best recipe forever! I’m going straight to Hmart tomorrow to get all of these ingredients rather than spending $1000 to go to the cheese river spot in Gangnam 😅
I was just thinking you need to write a recipe book and then I spotted the link to your blog. I like that you give alternatives to the ingredients as I can't find dashida but do have pepper flakes and paste. :D
I love kimchi. So good
Oh my goodness I just made dakgalbi today for dinner too! I grated apples inside mine but apple juice sounds much easier.. I will definitely have to try your recipe. Thanks for sharing!! ❤️
Nic K What a coincidence! I should've uploaded it earlier. 😂Hope you enjoyed your meal, though!😊
Thank you for sharing this. I lived in Chuncheon in 1985. I miss that city a lot. I ate so much Dakgalbi when I was there. Don't forget the makguksu.
love this!
Brandon Burnett Thank YOU! 😁
I just made this and it's delicious! Happened to have all the ingredients except green onion, so I used extra regular onion. Marinated the chicken overnight. Your recipes are so easy to follow!
So happy for you, Rinny! 😍👍👍
