Using the Ricoh GRii in 2023 - Should we keep it?

- I went to France on a family holiday and wanted to take a small, point and shoot style camera with me that could easily fit into my coat pocket. The Ricoh GRii was the choice.
It's no secret (if you have kept up to date with our other videos) that myself and Luke have fell out of love with this camera in recent times. Or should we say we have fell in love with other cameras more?
Either way. I took it to the French Alps with me to see if I'd come home and sell or keep the camera.
Have you got this camera? What are your thoughts?

Dude, this video was S I C K
Loving the set up and the vibes and everything about it. Great snaps too.
Those snow towns are so good to shoot.
I proper loved this!! More more moooorrreeee
Thank you mate. It was such a beautiful place.
Pls help! Which one is better gr digital ii or gr digital iv? Tnx
Great video, mate! Good to see your keeping the Ricoh, even if it's just for a few more months. Wonderful photos of a wonderful place! The yellow shovel guy was my favourite. I wish it was my own! 😁👍🏼
Thanks Alex. I was pleased with how that one turned out. The yellow shovel was a nice surprise.
Insane anyone thinking of selling the GRii. The camera is amazing and I say this as someone who owns the Fuji GFX system. I only shoot b/w and I can tell you that the tones, smaller MP count and its size and convenience is the reason I barely use my GFX now. I find the GRii files to me are aesthetically more appealing, less perfect, more grit and more soul. The fact this camera has a flash takes it up another level. No way I would sell this .Try getting hold of a GRii second hand now.
This is encouraging to hear. I purchased my Grii for a great deal second hand a few years ago and love it. Lately wandering whether I should buy the GRiii but not sure if it’s worth the upgrade. Keen to hear if you have one and your thoughts on this? Thank you
Did you see them dance moves at the end? 🕺
Quality moves Jamie lad
Oh yeaaaaaah we didddd 🎉
The Ricoh GR series of cameras....those who get it, get it. It will always have a place in my tool kit.
I'd keep it just for the POS FIlm man - I think down the road you'll regret it - I wont lie. I'm a Leica Q2 and Q2M shooter (28mm is all I need) but still have the Ricoh GRD II CCD and GRIII and(x). They're just so tiny it's easy to justify in anyone's kit and they're going for $6-$800 which is insane, if you do miss it.
The image quality is great out of it
Can someone please explain the difference between the Gr ii vs the Gr ii digital???
Gr D(igital) series are their early 2000 digital cameras, the current GR(after GR D iv) are compact apsc cameras
0:53 A helmet on a helmet 🤣
