I use it as my everyday camera. My favourite snapper. Small, compact, light, stunning image quality and great film recipe. I own the GR3x. Bought it used for 700 euro... A steal if you ask me
Wow editing was sooo good haha. Really good presentation of all the different genres the GR is suitable for. Loved the instagram examples to show how other people use the GR! Great job mate.
The GR III does pretty well for astro, having a wide angle excellent lens and built in interval timer. Just take a series of frames and stack them. Its main advantage is its light weight so that you can hike far away from light pollution.
I've had a GRIIIx for a year and I think it's one of the best cameras I've ever used and I actually really enjoy using it for portraits. Recently I've been using the macro mode to digitize the 6x6 negatives of my Yashica MAT because at the minimum focusing distance it frames exactly a 6x9 cm surface...
This camera is useful for every kind of photography. I saw this camera attached to a drone! I don't even use it for street photography. It's my number one hiking camera for landscape, forest photos etc.
Having a few fuji cameras and possibly owned nearly all fuji lenses over the years, the griii and wide adaptor set has been used x10 more than any other set up. It's just so easy, and the images are stunning. Bought the fuji 100v when launched because I was worried about weather sealing, but I hardly used it.
Hey nice one! I’m picking up a “x” as a second Ricoh because I love my Ricoh as a second camera in event, portrait, fashion. I like that it gives a different take on a shoot. A street style or something. I have also made a bit of a name for myself shooting small concerts in underground club setting with flash. This latter part has turned into a personal project so that second camera will help where the 28mm just doesn’t capture the moment if I can’t get close enough. I initially bought it as a street photo and bike camera. It’s small size meant I could carry it on my bike rides up and down the mountains.
@@karinjohnstone6690 it depends on the shoot but I always go off camera. Handheld small flash with a trigger. Keep in mind that this camera has a leaf shutter so great for making subject pop in daylight. Common fashion photo. For events I use lightpix flash as it fits in my pocket. Use it for candid street style stuff in addition to the usual stuff
Great video, I am a happy owner of a GrIIIx and living next to Barcelona you can imagine the fun I have. Cult camera in its own right and do not discharge a regular Griii in the future as well
My pair of GRs (a iii and an x) are a backup to my Fuji XT-4 and XT-5 set up. I take them out when I can't be arsed to carry a bigger camera or where a bigger camera might not be welcome. I am a keen amateur travel photographer.
I took my GRii to Death Valley and took some amazing astrophotography photos. My only wish is that Ricoh would upgrade the video capabilities. It’s such a great little camera.
Leuke video weer!
Thanks for sharing. The GR3/x is great for any photography, the best😀 By the way, you cheated on the push ups, did not do the full range of motion. Pretty good anyway and I have subbed already long time ago😀
In other words it's a professional level camera. The limitations means you wouldn't buy it or even want it for any of most of those genres. However, its a £1000 apsc camera with a decent 28mm equiv lens. So yeah, it can take a photo that looks like an apsc camera with a 28mm lens. Hopefully that clears it up for anyone thinking there's something special in that regard. The size is cool but it's not ideal. But you can do it etc.
@@NielsdeKemp Weather sealing, tilting screen, decent video capabilities, flash, 40 megapixels sensor (= better resolution/cropping capabilities), better screen (particularly for harsh daylight), better AF. I would buy it just having 3 out of those 7! :)
@@TungstenOvergaard Say they include this, but the whole camera changes in ergonomics (bigger, bulkier, different battery etc) Would you still want it? Because your suggestions would change the camera’s exterior as well I guess..
@@NielsdeKemp 40 megapixels sensors are same size, better processors are same size (= better AF & more efficient use of battery). Tech in four years has evolved enough to put a flush tilting screen in exchange of 1 or 2mm if necessary (unnoticeable for majority of us). XT5 has improve A LOT over XT3 and XT4 and is smaller and lighter. I fully understand that is easier to change the colours/editions for cool kids, that innovate/improve, but I would rather prefer Ricoh investing on the latter.
I love my GR so much that I replaced the regular version with the street edition. I took about 20k+ photos using GRIII, and I came to two conclusions witch must be upgraded in next version. The first is a problem with dust, the second... is terrible autofocus. Unless in this video you are praising autofocus in the upcoming GRIV 😅
every modern phone has all of this, also most photographers are cheating you, they mostly heavily edit their photos so what you see in the end has nothing to do with the camera

I absolutely agree, best pocket camera for different situations 🙌
