To me, you are the cleanest wrencher. I hope i said it right. The way you work on things you make it look so easy. Keep it up we need more of these wrenching videos
Aziz I really appreciate that! This is kinda what Im known for my wrenching! Its my favorite part of this hobby , the building and the wrenching on my cars! I love to run them too when I can and tuning is my second favorite thing! Its just a super awesome hobby! I used to ride 2 and 4 stroke dirt bikes for the better part of my life! Ive slowed down on them and this I can do right in my home and not ever get hurt! Thank you again Ill be sure to keep this content up!
It is very easy bro because Ive done it so much but patience is key, now I will say Ive gotten clutch spring that are cut in a way that it makes them hard to go on there I may even have to dremel the end to grind off a burr . Sorry to hear you messed up the shoes bro!
@eastsiderc i put on another clutch from a Zenoah engine. I had to change one out last week for a rovan clutch because it it rubbed against the clutch bell as I tighten it on a Vekta.
When I fit a clutch I also like to check the clutch bolts arent binding the shoes. I grab a large flat head screw driver and twist between the clutch shoes where they clip into each other. This is to make sure the shoes are free and return 😎💪👌
I talked about this in the video. Thanks for watching bro that’s what I was talking about when I was saying to clearance the bolts I showed how they spun nice and free inside the shoes that ensures that the shoes swing out nicely and smoothly, zen always does a good job on the bolts to make sure the spin free in the shoes for no bindng.
Yessir thats what Im hearing! And that’s exactly what I run brother!! Awesome to see this! Thanks for watching! The Exhaust port timing is already at 180° which is nice for high revs! 🤝
@@eastsiderc oh I agree hundred percent man I can't wait to get back into it I've never had a gas I've had some nitros just never gas when I can't wait I'll probably be asking you some questions lol
We need more how to content like this. 👍 Thanks Jeff for sharing your knowledge 🧠 I use a micro torque wrench for my clutch stuff set at 85 inch lbs. Not sure where I got that setting from 😂
Thanks brother Allen! I use the torque wrench for some things but I seem to get things too tight with it. I like to go by the feel of my arm strength . It hasn’t failed me yet! They say 65 inch pounds for the fly wheel but I have seen others break them too many times at that setting so I just snugem up like a spark plug and havent had a single issue yet! Appreciate you checking it out! Its good too see you making videos too! I enjoy your vids!
@@eastsiderc I might be going a bit too tight. 85 seems pretty tight to me. What you doing on carb bolts? I was doing 65 on mine then I stripped out threads on a Bartolone reed 😏
I do the same with carb bolts just good snug by hand to close the lock washer. Then maybe one more 1/4 turn and stop. I have snapped a intake block with the torque wrench only once and never used it again for that. A good maintenance practice I do before each run is try n move the carb back n forth to make sure its still tight n right! Ive never ever had a carb come loose. 🤝🇺🇸🙏
First coment cut off short. What mortar wood you get Rovan 36cc or zenoah 36cc for my Rovan 5B 29cc I am going to get a 4×4 in couple month's not shur what but some thing good. Thanks have a wonderful week to you and everyone else.
If you get a Rovan 36 get the single ring, it makes more power. Zen makes up to a 32 I prefer that one. It is also sold at fearless RC. It’s just a bit more money than 120 bucks I believe. And thank you brother. I hope you have a super blessed week to.
hey thanks for all the great videos. I'm learning a lot. But can you tell me how to figure out what carb that came with my losi dbxl 2.0 so i can adjust the carb. I'm a complete noob to gas but i have plenty of electrics. i added the losi tuned pipe to mine and want to make sure my carb adjustments are close so i'm not running to lean.
Sure man I can help the carb will have a number on it like 990 or 1107 or 668 something like that then you can come back n ask me what the base settings are or look them on DDMs website
If you simply tell me what engine is in it I will tell you carb it has on it. That car has either a Chung yang 29 in it or a Zen 32 or maybe even a Zen G290 .
@EastSide RC now it's having an issue. I was running it yesterday and it was running good and then just stopped running. Gas was low so I added a little and it would start for a second then stop. I set carb to 1 1/2 turns low and 2 turns high still won't start. Checked plug and it's black so I bought a new plug and won't even fire at all now. Checked and it does have spark but won't even act like it wants to start. I'm at a loss here.

Brother, like a true mechanic you know your engines. Good stuff as always.
Thanks brother Tony I knew you would appreciate the close ups and clarity! I lost a subscriber from it 😆
Couldn't put the spring on. I use the plier to try to twist the spring on, and it damage the clutch shoes. You made it look easy in the video.
