Excellent video and congratulations! The explanation of the TFT was very helpful as my BMW dealership couldn't show me anything about my new S1krr because of covid-19.
i m 80% getting one myself in hockenheim silver, only 2 things i dont like are the silly integrated tail lights, which could have been so much cooler, not even talking panigalish cool. and the mid range torque issue that you guys in the us have. thankfully in europe thats not the case...

I had no idea how much i wanted one of these it was a toss up between the rr or the r1 and although I absolutely love the 2020 R1 the dang bm has a fuel quantity indicator!! Thats worth its weight in gold and the tire monitor is sick asfaaaaa. Bad ass bike bro!!

Congrats on the new S1K RR, she's a beauty. You literally just bought one of the top bikes on the market. Take er easy during break in, mainly to learn the bike inside and out. After that go ham with the mods 👍🔥 Especially a Brentuning flash. From all the videos I've watched, that bike needs it to kill the dead spot in the lower RPMs. Enjoy and be safe!!
I know the mapping is different in the USA but UK dyno runs have shown the stated power figures from BMW are in fact to the wheel, even if BMW say its to the crank.

Correct I've seen 204 at the back wheel so must be about 220 at the crank possibly!

Not a fan of the BMWs but love the virtual display dash, it is the best Ive seen and looks so easy to flick through screens

Dude. The michelin power rs is a trackday tire, one of the best tires out right now. It's not a street tire. Their street tire would be the road 5.
He sound like he dosen't anything about motorcycle really... if this is his first bike, then he wont really know how to ride for a while then. He'll be the the guy who know how to go fast in a straight line. Hopefully he be safe out there.
I would have taken the seat with pegs and Michellin tyres, but that's just me. More value for money too. Comfort seat will also be a necessity. Hope they gave you a helmet with Bluetooth for free. I would ask for that instead of a jacket, especially if you sell your bike then you stuck with BMW jacket. Just my preferences if I buy one.

I've heard that the BMW brakes on the 2020 are faulty, leaking i think. Maybe its best to swap them out for monoblock brembo calipers
@Draknight but if there leaking either way wouldn't it be safer to swap them regardless
Can it handle lower rpm in cities? Does it heat up a lot a lower rpm?
That gauge is just too much. I can’t believe the technology on bikes now. When I was riding my 2006 GSXR1000 back in the day I thought, “How can you possibly top this?”

@zbig t That was a very isolated and rare problem in the original S1000RR's from like 07-09 supposedly it's 100% ironed out, i havent heard of it happening in a long time
