I won the Paisley Park guitar book from a contest sweeps over a year and a half ago.

I bought the Paisley Park guitar book and found to my disappointment that the people who put that book together just basically went through his guitar collection and randomly selected a few, heck there's even a couple in that book which Prince never actually used and are being pointed out as such.
I wish they had done their homework properly here.

He probably played those, but not in a show. Were they gifts to him?

@@PrinceInvestigationFile5 The clips shows a White Ibanez Seven string, which was a gift from Steve Vai, Prince used that one on the "Diamonds and Pearls album.
But missing in action from that book were the White and Purple Symbol guitars and Prince's Blue Cloud, which was the last remaining of the Dave Rusan built cloud guitars which he used during the "Purple Rain" and "Parade tours" (He smashed the other two)

@@RastaSaiyaman The Blue Cloud was "given to someone" and auctioned off recently. Did the book have any mention of the David Orr guitar?

@@PrinceInvestigationFile5 Yes the Charles Orr guitar was in there. But still, the people who put it together could have done their homework better, where for example was the Purple flower Sadowsky that Prince playing in the "America" video, he used that guitar (along with Wendy) during the Parade tour.

The video isn't much more useful than that. It looks like his main Hohner, if that's it, is turned around backwards. Besides his Auerswald and cloud guitar, and the purple Sadowsky, most of these guitars are nobodies that nobody's seen before, because he never played them. Overlong video of lots of redundant pics. Ironically there's an even longer video that has guitar pics this one doesn't have, from the doorway of the storage room, where you can see the giant black plate on the back of the first guitar, confirming that's his main Hohner. It's sad when useful content falls into the hands of someone who can't edit.

Whatever happened to Prince's David Orr guitar?

The Charles Orr guitar was last seen in Amsterdam, 2013 where he played Let's Go Crazy. It is one of his oldest guitars.

@@DaLawn I corrected the name, Charles Orr. He retired the guitar, and had it restored later.
