Same problem! I pulled it up on my tablet, I think in my Home feed. Went over to my desktop to sit down and really watch this, and it would not show in my Subscriptions feed (?!?).
FWIW I spent five minutes tracking this down again because I wanted to continue watching. 😄

Hell yeah man so happy for you!! Great advice. I definitely do that "theatrical personality" from time to time lol. So hard to snap out of it. My wife usually hears me in the other room and is like... who the hell did you just turn into lol.

Solid, solid advice! Just found you recently and your content is amazing! I agree to just be yourself. I started being consistent posting weekly 13 months ago and looking back, I cringe at my old videos BUT I'm glad I made them. :)
I keep watching videos like these and I’ve been taking small steps - think about it, then brainstorm, then film - and now I just need to edit and upload and take refuge in the fact that the first video is gonna suck and nobody’s going to watch it.

Talking about things that everyone is talking about and what's trending might get you the views. But talking about what you are truly passionate about will help you keep going for the long run, and will bring like-minded people that care about the same things you care about and create a family around you; not just numbers and followers.

Man I NEEDED to hear this. As someone who’s started growing their channel for just under a year I still get discouraged from time to time and to hear your thoughts on the algorithm and “playing the game” opened my eyes.
6:06 THIS ... Literally work so hard on my videos for hours upon hours with a ton of revisions and the videos never gained the numbers I expected; UNTIL... They suddenly began to become popular. Crazy but "not giving up" really is one of the main keys. Whole life changed overnight but I was totally working towards that moment the entire time 😆👍 sweet video so far

I had to teach myself to be a little more care free and loosen up a bit more each video. Going from a pretty depressed state with my work life balance to now, two years into youtube, I've seen my entire demeanor go back to how I was when I started cooking.
Great video! RUclips is a great opportunity, although there are some major issues that creators have to deal with and RUclips has yet to address/fix.

Try giving yourself a deadline Matthew. Or what works for a lot of people is doing a streak. Make yourself write for 5 minutes a day everyday for 30 days. You’ll be surprised at what you come up with.

I started my first youtube channel in 2012. Made lego videos. Loved it. But I was bullied and suddenly as you grow up, lego didn't seem so cool anymore. So I let it go.
Found my passion for film a little while later. So I started again. Films that I wanted to see!

Dude, this is honestly the motivation I needed.
