Definitely one of the more unique boomer shooters I’ve seen so far. Just hope there are more terrifying enemy types in the future, like how you’d go “Oh shit!” when a Shambler appeared in Quake. Great review!
This game is incredible! Great gameplay, love the graphics and music is fantastic, gives Hulshult a run for his money. Secrets are super satisfying too.
I have been following this badboy since the Hell Hunt demo and now it can finally take its place alongside the mighty Wrath, HROT and Ultrakill as one of the few absolute best retro killing games out there in early access that I can't wait for the full version of.

Definitely getting it right now, got burned out of the boomer shooter craze after dusk and many more but now i'm ready again, dusk was amazing btw just played too many after that. The games so cheap I usually wait till they're out of EA to not spoil the game but sure, what the hell, i'm off for a week nothing better to do xD
Its so nice to have a new wave boomer shooter where the weapons just arent the same old doom formula, melee pistol, shotgun, maybe another shotgun, hitscan auto weapon, explosive projectile weapon , fast firing possible plasma projectile weapon, super bfg like weapon, etc. I was really pleasantly surprised with the recharging bow and the electrical stun bombs.
Same, both felt useful and well thought out. I’m looking forward to seeing if there will be more weapon variations through the upgrade screen like the Hellscreams.

Hey man would you mind taking a look at Trepang 2? It's basically a F.E.A.R. inspired FPS, it's currently early access, but from what I've played, it's turning out to be a better sequel for F.E.A.R. than F.E.A.R. 2 and F.3.A.R.

No worries. If you pop over to the Dread Templar Steam page they will have the system requirements towards the bottom before the customer reviews. I would say if you're able to run Amid Evil you should be able to run Dread, it's not too graphically demanding. At the time I reviewed it on my old rig that I bought back in 2017. It wasn't much of a gaming PC either. Worst case scenario if it doesn't run you can refund it on steam within 14 days. Hope that helps!

The problem with almost all boomer shooters is early access. There's maybe a few fully finished games like Dusk, Ion Fury and Amid Evil but the rest are just early access trash. Some games are even in early access for more then 3 years. I never understood why people play early access games.
I don't get sometimes why the retro shooters need to be hideous on purpose. Cultic looks like actual trash and this thing is so purple I can't even look at it for more than a minute. You can have primitive graphics that actually look like real items and normal colors. But no, we get this kind of design. They'd sell allot more copies if they would just put a bit more effort into colors
kirk collected a thumbs down, i've had about enough of guys copying my trends/styles to the point where i end up quitting. not this time around, you guys can crash in planes, or get hit in a 25 car pile up on the highway, etc.
Boomer shooter? Really ? Game looks great. But im tired of all the extra labels people have to make up. My father was born in the baby boom which is where the term is from. You guys just loosely use any term.
i see a pile of copyright violations, just look at all the usage of moves from so many other games nothing to see here besides a lawsuit waiting to happen.

No worries. If you pop over to the Dread Templar Steam page they will have the system requirements towards the bottom before the customer reviews.
I would say if you're able to run Amid Evil you should be able to run Dread, it's not too graphically demanding. At the time I reviewed it on my old rig that I bought back in 2017. It wasn't much of a gaming PC either.
Worst case scenario if it doesn't run you can refund it on steam within 14 days.

Ordinarily I wouldn't mess with EA titles, but in this case it's so much fun that I don't even care. Hopefully the rest is out within a year.
