rcx motors are OK 1306-10 size ...rc drones does mods with tiger tmotors that are 3100 kv for the extreme but are very $$$$.
it works but notice the measurements are designed so u can reach the bind button better.

+Customers De Leon Hey do you know of any equivalent generic motors for the eye one extreme? I can adapt them on but do you know what motor specs I can use?
fc needs to be other way around for battery connector & bind button!

Your frame lighter than mine so should get longer etc going to put it on carbon fibre frame about 40 grams
What size is the frame.Im looking to build a picnic quad.I wanted to use my Ares Ethos qx130 motors and flight board.What size picnic frame should i go with.??Thanks
vernon seraile Hey Vernon, this frame is about 8 inches or 20 cm on each side. Problem is that you might want a smaller frame if you're using and ethos from what I see it'squite small. You can find equations online to calculate lift and when you optimize the equation add an extra 15% for safety.

+gadgetman 404 yes you can go bigger. It's the voltage that's limited. I think the original batteries are 1000 mAh at 20C. This means they can discharge at 20 amps tops. Therefore don't worry about mAh to much you can buy larger batteries no problem just don't get to heavy batteries remember max 100 gramms.
what picnic quad frame or my folding frame
don't know really for me I prefer the reliability of the fewest moving parts possible but I can imagine folding frames have an advantage when it comes to transportation and storage
well I tried 3200 2 cell 7.4 volts got magic smoke so don't think that info correct but try it but you like me will need new fc board
sorry to hear that. well here I'm flying with 2000 mAh. The circuit board probably can't take much more intensity.
