hands down man one of the cleanest sti on RUclips....
💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome review! Thanks!
This was actually a great and helpful video, much appreciated!
Thank you for making this
Nice review in a dd point of view. Good job!
very informational, thanks
Great review! Wish I would have went with these on my '07 STi over Feal FPS with RCE Black Springs and Group N tophats.
96accord I did the feal 441’s on my wrx and it was a horrible experience. Made so much noise. Switched to bilstein/rce combo and was much happier. These fortune autos take the cake though. Super happy with my experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to get another set.
I can confidently say the fortune auto 500 are very good, the ride and handling improvements are very noticeable they are comfortable and the steering is also better
are you running close to oem spring rates?
@@kacperboguszewski6868 I went 7k all around but ended up going to 8k in the front later on, running swift springs also
Appreciate the hell outta this video. Recently lowered my sti and destroyed a tire 😂. Your info on here is helping me zero in on how to not* do thaaat again. 🤘
Glad it helped!
Mine make clucking noise over bumps any idea?
Perfect wheel/tire set up. What are the specs?
18x9.5 +35
@@Scoobyfreak86 Tire specs? 245/40? thanks!
265/35
It’s very rare haha
What made you choose this instead of the Cygnus Performance X-1 coilovers?
Simply because fortune auto is a more well known brand. Despite buying mine from Cygnus, I went with fortune auto due to the fact I knew more about them.
With the larger tires/more camber, does your car have the tendency to tramline? Tramlining is the tendency of a vehicle's wheels to follow the contours in the surface upon which it runs.
old12school3 yes that is a very common occurrence with larger tires and camber.
@@Scoobyfreak86 i was told it really depends on the type of tire? i might go with the continental extremecontact dws06
So you didn’t need to change out the lower control arms? I like the way your car is sitting. Trying to copy.
During this video, I was on stock lca’s
Nice Review! Btw do you think this setup will rub if your car is full with passengers? Thanks!
Depends on the wheel setup and alignment specs.
Do you think I have to rolled my fenders with 18x9.5 +38 tires 255/40/18
All depends on your height and alignment specs.
Do you still recommend getting 7k spring rates for a daily driver set up?
Absolutely. A wise move if you plan on dailying the car.
@@Scoobyfreak86 awesome. I just ordered my set with the swift spring upgrade and radial bearing upgrade!
With the 7k springs would it be possible to have a setup that’s more comfortable than stock? The roads on my commute are trash. I’m just looking for a more comfortable ride. Also what difference does the swift springs make over the regular ones?
Swift springs are just a better quality spring. Will last longer and hold the spring rate it’s set at. My setup is definitely firm, but it’s way more compliant than stock. Much more composed and handles bumps in the road way better. Stock is very harsh and jarring comparing.
What wheels are those?
Enkei rs05rr’s. Check my previous videos. I did an entire video review on them.
What lip is that?
Subaru STI Bayson R Lip Kit Review ruclips.net/video/hbylnX4ZVEI/видео.html
What type of body/lip kit do you have? It's very nice over all :)
Bayson r
that splitter looks clean where did you buy it?
Are you referring to the front lip?
@@Scoobyfreak86 wheres the front lip link?
amzn.to/2zQQiMB
@@Scoobyfreak86 thanks bro!
Ya and thanks 👍
I’m looking at a set for my 17 wrx what spring rate for daily driving
7k
@@Scoobyfreak86 I went with the 7k front and rear, swift springs gen 7 they will be here Thursday
Hey man I thought about purchasing a sti the same year as yours how has this car treated you? Has it been reliable to you?
Jalen Tran I actually have this on my list of videos to make. I’ll do this one this week and post up. Stay tuned!
What brand are your rims and tires?
Enkei and Michelin
Hey what side lip kit do you have? Those look thicker!
ruclips.net/video/AwnVwym5lXg/видео.html
I bought a 19 sti and it came with the fortune auto coilovers. Does it snow where you live and do you raise the suspension in the winter?
I'm not familiar with coilovers really so I'm thinking about getting an instruction manual for them
Do u have a link for the coil overs?
cygnusperformance.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=2007&category_id=778
Scoobyfreak86 your coilover setup is exactly the setup I want for my 19 Sti.
Whats "K" refered to? Is it kilograms/mm? Love the clean look!!
Kilograms
What side skirts and wheels do you run?
Bayson r and Enkei rs05rr’s. Videos on both on the channel.
Scoobyfreak86 thanks! I’ll check em out
How much body roll do you have with 7k?
Still corners good? Getting some fortune auto’s. Deciding on spring rate. Current teins need maintenance and overall more bumpy in general. But the current spring rate is 8 front 7 rear. Throws my butt out of the seat over worse highway bumps!
7 is very compliant in both daily driving and spirited driving. I have a rear sway as well that helps with any sway and it feels great.
18 clicks from full hard?
Yes sir
What are your tire and Rim Specs?? I am looking at 18x9.5 et35 265/40/18
Don’t do 40. You’ll want a 35 series tire.
Hey brother, I have 255/35/18 tires paired with 18/9.5+35 wheels. I have fortune autos coming as well and I have quite a bit of poke, I keep hearing I need to roll my fenders but like you did could i get away with just rolling the rears? Also I keep hearing that I will NEED rear lower adjustable control arms... I guess due to when you lower it your tow will get all jacked up and camber. Is this true on both questions? Please answer me your input would be great.
Ps: I also went with Jeff at cygnusperformance👌 he’s awesome
Control arms don’t adjust toe. They only adjust camber. You only need to roll the rears. I’m on stock control snd toe arms and I’m -2.9 in the rear with 0 toe.
You’re running a skinnier tire than me so I suggest getting everything installed and dialing it all in. You might be able to get away with no roll depending on how low you go. If anything, a slight roll will be needed.
Scoobyfreak86 ok awesome. So when you lowered the car it was just at the -2.9 or whatever camber without any adjustments on the rear? Cause you can’t adjust rear at all correct?
Correct
Scoobyfreak86 so you have no rub at all on front? And are you still running same camber? How’s tire wear at that camber adjustment for you?
Are these still in the car? And did you use any spacers for the wheels?
Yes. 25k on them currently and still ride amazing. No spacers.
