$10 grand off isn’t even a start after hearing how much the CEO’s were paid this year. Let’s start with $25 thousand off and work from there !!!
I think it’s a sign of things to come. 10k off sticker means even more in the negotiation…
Just to put things into context the CEO of Ford makes about 26M per year. Ford sold 2M units last year. Do the math. The FORD CEO personally made $13.00 per car. About enough to go to McDonalds for lunch. So if the CEO worked for free an $80,000 truck would be a $79,987.00 truck.
@@jonathantaylor6926Leftists think "the rich" are holding all of money from the poor because they don't have the faintest idea how ecomonics works.
Yeah if the ceo makes that what about the rest of management? How much everyone else making? The point isn't the price per truck added by the ceo the point is the drastic increases in b.s. pay over the last couple decades. It shows the decline of ethics. @@jonathantaylor6926
@@jonathantaylor6926 Get those realistic facts out of here./s
I see what the bird thought of that $81,000 dollar truck. My sentiments exactly.
lol
The Colorado and Canyons really put it into perspective how much Toyota overshot the market on Tacoma pricing. A loaded Canyon or base SR5 for the same money.
I think we all need to boycott all these brand-name trucks til they come back to their senses....
My dealership in Iowa has over 100 Ram trucks on their lot. Insane, bring on the rebates! Most are 60,000 to 80,000 $ trucks.
My local Chevy dealer tried to force an $800 mandatory free car wash. "Everybody has to pay it" said the salesman. Along with the $1000 price increase from a day prior that they refused to honor, along with mark up, along with an OUTRAGEOUS doc fee. This was July 11th of 23. I wouldnt care if the dealer went bankrupt.
That's pretty bad about the car wash. Not all dealers were like that but I hear ya, most were and probably deserve a little pain for it.
Not to mention, dealers don’t do something soon to move these trucks, remember they are paying insurance on these trucks to sit there. Not profitable for the dealers. But no one wants to buy a nice trim level truck that will be $1500 a month. Or more.
Let the dealers and the manufacturers feel the pain
Hold the line
Most full size pickups need to get to about 15k off before start paying attention again…
The prices are too high- they make most profit on trucks and suvs. The economy in a shambles. Highest repo levels in history-credit card debt historic levels- interest rates high. Prices will come down I believe, but most people can’t afford them even then.
20 percent off. OEM and dealers starting to cut together. I am a landlord. if i dont price a rental right, it sits just like these trucks. I say 20 percent across the board. trucks just sitting. something has to give and it looks like it is.
I dont like trucks, but I legitimately like the canyon. It's just easy on the eyes
When I see entry level trucks in the lower 30s I would be tempted to take a look.
Prices must come down or dealerships go bankrupt, I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices!
The floor plan cost at that dealership must be enormous.
Gotta be crazy. This was the first dealership to come out and talk to me in a while too...most don't even care if I'm on the lot. They were very nice...let me film, I can't complain.
We don't need discounts we need massive price cuts
Holy cow , I’ve never seen this many trucks at one dealership. Love the look of the 1500 AT4
BUT those insane prices. I hope you’re right and they do come back down to Earth. I’ve also heard about reliability issues Guess I’ll hold onto my 2015 Tacoma TRD SPORT a bit longer.
Yeah it's tough to trust any of these new trucks from any brand right now. I might just wait it out to see what long term reliability looks like. I'll probably just end up getting the previous gen 5.7L tundra at some point.
80k is about 40k too much.
Yeah a bit nuts…
So there’s only one truck with $10,000 off? I’m already suspicious of this dealership. Take another 20,000 off and I might kick a tire.
that dbl cab white truck was the pro....its a base model dressed up to look like an elevation
most of those trucks are on sale, coupl of k to 8k or so....would bet if serious can get a good chunk off.....not marked on truck but they are online....
going to the dealership is worst way to start a purchase
I’m finding at4 and at4x 10k off and the special edition f150s are like 15k-20k off
Nice to see ONE truck is on sale.😅
I have a 2024 AT4X that’s in the shop for over a month now. Seems they can’t figure what’s wrong with it.
1:29 I like that blue 1500 truck bummer you walked right past it.
ahh sorry about that. I think that was on the pre-owned side too.
@@TheCarGuyOnline Thanks maybe next time. They do have a really good blue, I think even better than Fords. Toyota are jerks about their blues.
@@Moondoggy1941 later in the video @7:50 there’s a new one with a really sweet blue. Definitely eye catching.
@@TheCarGuyOnline That was the smaller truck correct, but yes it is a very good blue. I have never owned a GM product and I am retired, but I am looking at them now.
Under 40k loaded then I'll start looking.
Not sure that will happen any time soon but, you might see loaded in the 40s again (probably higher end) if things crash appropriately. Will take the stars aligning though.
You’ll never buy a truck in your life time. Just like gas will never again be 99 cents/gallon (I even remember that from the mid 90s when I was a teen). Laws of never ending inflation. Prices will slowly climb and climb decade after decade after decade. Unless your salary climbs with the inflation you’re screwed
@@absolutetuberThere’s folks that are importing the full size trucks into Europe and they are paying $7 a gallon. Never underestimate the stupidity of people who make large financial decisions.
With the economy where it is I’d say even with 25k off people will be hesitant, who wants to enter a 60/72 month loan if you could lose your job? Or lose a bit of income? The rates are too high and and that 43000 truck will be under 50 with tax title plate ,doc fee etc… so even with say 5000 grand down, your financing 45k @7% that gonna turn your total loan with Interest to about 53,000/60 months is…883.34….for a extended cab cloth seat truck…no way
If I had to get one of these I’d rather lease
Waiting for them 2009 deals
Cheapest truck at 10k off is still too much money for a no trim truck. Nothing in it except maybe the LED headlights with LED DRL’s that’s it.
Go to car gurus and filter vehicles by days listed and find the ones over 90 days. Dealers will give far more wiggle room for pricing on vehicles sitting costing money
Thought that too, but went to a dealership this was way before the pandemic, they had a GMC Terrain, didn’t care for the color, 4x4 was just sitting on the lot. Sales lady even said they wanted it gone because they were paying the insurance on it sitting on their lot. They said it was special ordered then the buyer backed out and no one wanted it because it was a 4x4. I said WHAAAAAAAAT. Just cause it is in south Texas we occasionally get ice here and this would be awesome to have. Anyways, with all that she said about that, I honestly thought they would really come down off the price but they wouldn’t. I argued with them about it, I told them you want it off the lot, we like it, we can take it off your hands other wise it is going to sit there. Nope, wouldn’t budge and wanted 8k down for it to boot. So we said good luck with that then, I hope there is a hail storm then where you have to either pay to fix it or then you’ll have to mark it down drastically to sell it with hail damage. And we left. Ridiculous how they sat there and told us they needed it gone because it was costing them money and no one wanted it but yet tried to sucker us in for their price with a huge amount down to boot. I guess to try and recover some insurance money.
Don’t buy a Tacoma for 65k that’s just plain stupid
First off, I feel the same way most others do about the Canyon... just an unbelievably attractive truck, it has to be the best looking mid size truck made today, by anyone. I was talking with some reps at the GMC dealership not far from me recently and they seem to be selling plenty of trucks, especially Canyons, they can't keep them in stock. It does seem like there are some deals to be had on the 1500's, but even then not much off, few grand maybe? Either way I don't think we're going to be seeing any big discounts soon. They were saying GMC is hedging bets on rate cuts later this year stimulating a rash of buying.
Yeah a lot will depend on the rates. I've heard they are going up (fed), but that won't necessarily matter if GM does their own GMAC financing at 1.9% or 0%, that will still move metal.
@@TheCarGuyOnline It will be interesting, yeah. I know GMC was doing 3.99 for 60 months last month and is currently pushing 5.99 for 72 months if you have good credit... 5.99 for 72 months isn't actually much different than most rates 3 or 4 years ago when prime was almost zero. But I'm with you, if GMC wanted to take a hit per month just to move units and ran a 1.9% promo or something we'd likely see significant increases in sales. Good channel by the way, I enjoy your videos. Take care!
Just Sit on it a Few Months more? Used are in he Toilet,so will these end up in the Toilet. With Gas Shooting up a high as it is,just wait. They will Bankrupt Dealers, then jump on a Deal!
@@robertmaxwell3548 My guess is we'll see more deals on memorial day/4th of July like usual, typically the better prices start from August - January. This is looking at data going back 10-15 years, the same cycle occurs almost every year, cheaper prices and more inventory from August - January.
GMC is breaking records on sales for the Sierra this year so far...so somebody is buying lots of these.
I think they are making more money per truck but they aren't selling more trucks than they used not, not more than the 2015 era. That goes for all of these brands though, they are actually selling fewer trucks at higher prices which is much better for profit...so the numbers are a bit skewed. There are a lot of games going on with numbers/percentages lately that the media pushes to make it seem much better than the norm.
A little of the beaten path BUT yesterday i went to buy a left over 2023 motorcycle at invoice. Dealer wanted it gone and showed me the paper work proving it was being sold at invoice. I got the paper work from the dealer showing the totals of everything so i could go to my credit union and have them cut a check for it and what a nightmare!! The bank would only do 90% of invoice and i had to pay the rest of the value of the bike PLUS all the taxes title and fees!! They felt that it being a left over 2023 motorcycle it was not even worth the invoice price, lol?? Sooooooooo forget MSRP sticker, they were at 90% of invoice price and that was it. Times are changing!! I was told if i want a loan for MSRP + fees and tax and title it would need to be a 2024 model.
You seriously went to buy a toy and wanted to pay $0.00 the day you "bought" it? Lol the bank wants to manage its risk. You buying it makes it used and drops its value by 10% (or more) the moment it hits the street. They don't want to repo a bike with a ton of negative equity if you stop making payments.
Yeah times are changing fast. Hopefully it'll turn out better for consumers in the long run, price wise, but we'll see.
@@jonathantaylor6926 I was putting $1200.00 down??
@@Tobstertacoma What for the sales taxe and title? Never finance a toy.
I was just offered $72k for an $86k sticker ATX-4. The truck has a Duramax engine. Do you still think that’s too much?
I think it depends on what you are using it for, your income level and your expenses etc. I personally won't buy any truck over about 45k, but I'm one of those people that like paid off vehicles so, take that for what it's worth. I think all prices are going to continue to drop and August - January we'll see even bigger discounts, but time will tell. I do love the AT4-X, one of my favorite looking trucks and properly built. The duramax so far has a lot of love....
We are starting to see 10 grand off gmc 1500 in Canada.
There still are very few midsize trucks out there and if you can locate one, they are still way overpriced.
definitely harder to find mid sized but they are starting to pile up around here...but nothing like half tons, they are just everywhere...
NOT just Toyota over priced those Canyons were way overpriced too.
Yeah they are all way overpriced for what they are. Nissan Frontiers are the only reasonably priced remaining.

Start making trucks for work again and stop making luxury trucks that will never haul anything other than their owners and never ever leave the pavement.
When the economy dumps, watch these trucks go for 20,000
Im so bitter as to how these dealers scammed people and took advantage of buyers for four years, I will probably never buy another vehicle from any dealer. Private purchases from here on. They can GTH
10 thousand dollars off is just a starting point.
Perhaps but I doubt it🤣
buy a bike whos need that pickup when market crash
People like to shine them up, put 35s on them and get groceries :).
100k truck for 90k that blue books for probably 50k. Nah, I'll pass. Let the have to have it folks buy them up.😉
I agree, I'll buy it second hand after the first big depreciation hit...if I buy at all.
@@TheCarGuyOnline bad thing is it drives up used car prices.
53K truck, now 43K...and probably a bunch of 'add ons'
I bet someone could get another 3-4k off it too. Hopefully a sign of things to come
They are overrated and overpriced 😊 but you’re right we live in a unstable country and elections year . And interest rates are very high they will have to have a better rate to get people to buy and come down on price . 😊
Good lord. I wanted to hear about the deals not what trucks are on your local lots.
These trucks only worth half the price that they are putting on the sticker but there's morons out there😅
Lets hope 2024 is the year prices come back down to earth.
Cut $30k !!!!!
You take the diesel. That belt has a 200k mile warranty. Gas mileage is also far superior. Even though it’s diesel fuel that 6.2 takes 91.
I keep seeing people having other issues with the 3.0…but maybe it’s all just RUclips clickbait. I’d love the MPG for that size truck
@@TheCarGuyOnline yeah I’ve only seen minor stuff. It is a diesel so it will have its quirks. But if properly maintained. Will run way longer than a traditional motor and continue to get better gas mileage. I feel
Like most people online complaining are people who think maintenance only consist of gas and oil.
@@traviscrown9189 Yeah I would say it's probably minor and par for the course. Installing catch cans to prevent heat soak and oil burn...all pretty normal in just about any of these new DI/Turbo engines. GM tends to have less reliable transmissions too from what I read, but it's hard to know how many actually have issues vs. how many are sold. Ford/GM are selling more than the other brands so we'll for sure see more issues popping up just based on numbers.
@@TheCarGuyOnline yeah I’ve actually heard the opposite. That Allison transmissions are very good. The ten speed, but to stay away from 8 speeds. Guess I’ll never know until I buy one.
Toyota reported record profits last yr and warns profits may decline.
After reporting record earnings last year, Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday net profit could decline as much as 28% this year as it invests ..
It's still just way too much. Even making decent money our wages haven't kept up to afford this. Not even close. $80k truck? $60k truck? Add interest, tax, fees , insurance. You'd have to make well over $200 k a year to afford that on a sensible budget. Vehicle should be 10 or 20 percent of your income not half of it.
Since i think the average pay is like 70k there is no freakn way. And it's a depreciating asset. Rock dings and chips, scratches, potholes etc etc it's a consumable. It just does not add up. Not for the average income or even some making over average income.
Say you have a couple kids and wife stays home. How you supposed to pay a $380,000 dollar house and a $60 k or $80k truck on the average salary? Even if the other spouse works you're both together at $140k pre tax pre insurance etc.
There is just no way.
This guy gave some good advice. Unless your family is taken care of DON'T DO IT
I do like double cabs but they don’t make hardly any. And $43k with no center console and small screen is still too high.
They can sit forever. Companies are just sitting on their capital, and waiting for the Fed to print.
Once the Fed prints, all of these cars will be bargains.
Hashtag not me movement...not me not you ..we are not paying the price. ..no buying until Christmas 2024...hold the line ..these prices will crash.. they can't keep doing this..
50000 isn't enough
That’s no sale buddy
