This plant is stunning! I made my first moss pole over the weekend and put my pothos on it, I cant wait to see it grow. The next to go on a pole… the Pink Princess…. Maybe the pole will save her, cause I cant seem to make her grow at all. A year later and she still has only the same leaves alive that she came with. :-(
have you tried to put her on a heat mat? i had the same issue with my raphidaphora decursive but after giving it some heat it began to grow for me!
@@coagulatedsalts4711 thanks for the suggestion, as no I have NOT tried a heat mat. I solved the “issue” by buying a new one. LOL. Maybe I will put them all on a heat mat.

Happy Spring! So happy you are just starting your warmer seasons...the Sodiroi is pretty...never seen one in person...love the silvery patches...hope they stay....like those light pink backs of the leaves....like that it is s bit slower in its growth habit....I would for sure add to my collection...yes so so beautiful :) love your spotlight series

I was going to ask about pot size but you answered it for me, this knowledge your sharing is Unbelievable, I'm going to try out the moss pole method and see if it helps in my cold wintery dull Ontario Canada winters🇨🇦

All of your plants are stunning!leaves are perfect and roots grow really well with moss pole.Im currently using coco pole but my philodendrons are not as large as yours!

Haii Sidney, i'm from indonesia, so happy i found your video. Well, I just adopted sodiroii since 3 days ago , it has 3 little leaves and I used the aglonema's soil. But i'd like to know how often for sodiroii get watering and vertilize? Is it love in dry or wet soil? May i purning the leaves to have bigs new leave?

What is the pillowy, lighter green, heart shaped plant with 2 big leaves to your right?
I that is not Sodiroi, that is Majestic, Sodiroi has a read dot mark in the middle
It’s the opposite actually
aff. (short for "species affinis") indicates a potentially new and undescribed species has an affinity to, but is not identical to, the named species

Yes it’s just algae, not harmful :)
I made my first moss pole a while ago now for an el choco red. Not exactly 6cm in diameter lol. How I will know if my plant has rooted into the moss pole since I was considering making a larger one? Thank you!!!!

As mentioned in the video, the majority of the root system is inside the pole, not the pot

None at all :) very pleased !! Probably because all the spidermites just rush to the verrucosum right next to it :D

Wow 😮 every plant that I like is extremely out of my budget lol 😂 can’t justify spending over 40$ on a plant but this one is nice might have to save for it ….
