32nd* Anniversary, I keep forgetting this franchise is over 30.
And this year is the 30th anniversary of CD, which means it's the 30th anniversary of Amy Rose, and I think that may explain why we're getting so much Amy content this year (Origins Plus, Superstars, The Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog taking place on her birthday).

I don’t think they could, I think I heard someone said that they couldn’t because of the game having some unique code that couldn’t allow ports.

@@veronicabermudez4802 That is fan made well I think it was made by a TT dev but it was not done by sega. That is not even the defininve version becuase it is based of the genenisis version
Apparently the missing voice clips in CD is intentional, spurring from the classic characters "canonically" being mute.
Knuckles in CD just feels right. The exploration aspect of the game and the level layout just fits his climbing and gliding.
My only "missed opportunity" of this collection is that they did not include Knuckles and the Chaotix game despite having artworks in the museum section. Also I feel if they did not rush with releasing the collection and included both Amy and Knuckles in the base game, we could've gotten a villain story mode with Metal Sonic and/or Eggman as playable characters and would've made the game fire and more unique. All in all I do love this collection and want to see it improve by getting more updates.
If you press the transform button in S3&K’s level select, you can have Sonic and Tails as well as Amy and Tails (no Knuckles and Tails though, which is odd)
I clicked so fast because I knew this was going to be another banger. I think Amy playstyles is pretty interesting and her hyper form attack was crazy. I really enjoyed Amy's new playstyle in origins.

You can choose amy/sonic & tails the same way for mania (triangle for PS, Y for Xbox and whatever is the top button foe switch idk what is for pc cuz i don't have a pc)
Great video! Though, if I'm gonna be fair, they DID fix a couple more issues with Sonic 2. Specifically, Metropolis Zone. The physics on the cogs that you run on were completely fucked, but after the latest patch they aren't anymore, and MOST egregiously, there was one area where spikes were placed above a valve that acts as a spring. In the original game, you never hit the spikes, but in Origins, the physics were off to the point you almost ALWAYS would hit them, making it nearly impossible to pass without dying, or at least taking damage. Metropolis is hard enough without that crap, so I'm happy to say they fixed that issue, as well!

I like Sonic Origins, it’s got problems but I still like it
Excellent review, Coop. I will likely play through all 16 games on this soon.
Hopefully in the future, more obscure games will be re-released (the classics are covered).

I have to disagree, out of all the official collections that have been released this is the best one main games wise. (I think people are letting their nostalgia and the bonus features from Sonic Mega Collection color their opinion) These games also aren't remasters but are remakes, they don't use the original ROMs at all. As for the Knuckles cutscene, that isn't a mistake. Knuckles' campaign takes place after Sonic's and Tails'. Which is why there is no Sonic vs Knuckles fight from Knuckles' perspective.
I do agree that CD's cutscenes and voices do need to be fixed though.
You can actually add Tails in the Sonic 3 Soundtest by pressing triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox i guess. Very odd

I liked sonic origins this was my first time playing the classic games and they were really fun the only major problems I have are the awful special stages in 1,2 and cd and those screws in sonic 2
I can have ROUGE in Sonic 1 ... what the heck do we need Amy for. Rouge can Glide, spin dash, climb and drill-dash-downward.
What's your opinion on the spin dash in update 2 of Frontiers? :)
I'm still not getting it until they add the option to use lives in widescreen mode.
Amy's standard kit is a modified sonic kit. And her name is blue and yellow or orange too
4:00 i believe you can ad tails with sonic & Amy in S3, not sure anymore about knuckles though but it does require pressing a different button, kinda like i believe with sonic in mania

I'd actually argue Superstars really devalues this DLC quite a bit, I already own basically all of these games and more on Gamecube via Mega Collection and Gems, so really the only thing it has going for it is Knuckles/Tails in Sonic 1 & CD and Classic Amy being playable, but if I can just get Superstars and play her in that then why would I really care about using her in all of these games? It certainly doesn't justify dropping $40+ on games I already own just for what's essentially a new character or two, widescreen be damned.
I still find it funny that the mobile equivalents seem more polished than the console release. It costed less than 10$ for the three games that got bug fixes for years.

The Physical version on Switch ... doesn't include the the DLC on the Cart, it's a download code. So that's kinda super lame. I find that kind of shitty for people who wanted a physical copy, it defeats the point kinda, because in the future that content won't be there automatically.
Considering that the tell you how to use cheats now, im assuming they fixed the problem of not being able to save while using them... right?

Can someone show Sega this video? Origins is a good collection but it still has issues that prevent it from being great. Also, I’m surprised you didn’t mention Sonic 3’s music always restarting after getting lives/coins.

Why no reviewer mention the extra Knuckles path in Sonic CD?
Not to spur negativity, but in my honest opinion, Amy kinda look out of place, I mean her sprite kind of clash with the rest of the game, in Sonic 1 and 2 she is mostly fine but specially in 3 she looks too "old school" if that makes sense..
I would've loved to see a level select unlocked for Sonic 1,2, and CD after you complete a game with each character, and Amy playable in classic mode as well. Plus, I adore Amy's old look more than her modern look,personally
I personally like sonic origins but that's only because I have never players 3 and K officially and never beat CD at all. Btw Cooper. What do you think of the sonic prime cast? I personally like shadows voice actor the best. Really gives shadow the right personality and isn't a egde lord

Telling people to shut up about playing Sonic Air, save money and get a better experience is insane. There’s probably a Amy mod out there for it if you really want it.
theres a difference between recommending something, and not being able to shut up about to the point people are annoyed.

Except you still have the spin dash and also the other issues of classic mode just being the anniversary mode but cropped. The fact that you still can't enable or disable features is kind of ridiculous considering it's a basic function.

Amy air attack is a better insta shield and the ground attack can be useful if you’re underwater because the attack still set your speed and the hyper form throw hammers so amy is not a worse sonic
