My only "missed opportunity" of this collection is that they did not include Knuckles and the Chaotix game despite having artworks in the museum section. Also I feel if they did not rush with releasing the collection and included both Amy and Knuckles in the base game, we could've gotten a villain story mode with Metal Sonic and/or Eggman as playable characters and would've made the game fire and more unique. All in all I do love this collection and want to see it improve by getting more updates.
I don’t think they could, I think I heard someone said that they couldn’t because of the game having some unique code that couldn’t allow ports. I think Cooper said explained the reasoning.

Great video! Though, if I'm gonna be fair, they DID fix a couple more issues with Sonic 2. Specifically, Metropolis Zone. The physics on the cogs that you run on were completely fucked, but after the latest patch they aren't anymore, and MOST egregiously, there was one area where spikes were placed above a valve that acts as a spring. In the original game, you never hit the spikes, but in Origins, the physics were off to the point you almost ALWAYS would hit them, making it nearly impossible to pass without dying, or at least taking damage. Metropolis is hard enough without that crap, so I'm happy to say they fixed that issue, as well!

I still find it funny that the mobile equivalents seem more polished than the console release. It costed less than 10$ for the three games that got bug fixes for years.

The Physical version on Switch ... doesn't include the the DLC on the Cart, it's a download code. So that's kinda super lame. I find that kind of shitty for people who wanted a physical copy, it defeats the point kinda, because in the future that content won't be there automatically.
I would've loved to see a level select unlocked for Sonic 1,2, and CD after you complete a game with each character, and Amy playable in classic mode as well. Plus, I adore Amy's old look more than her modern look,personally

I'd actually argue Superstars really devalues this DLC quite a bit, I already own basically all of these games and more on Gamecube via Mega Collection and Gems, so really the only thing it has going for it is Knuckles/Tails in Sonic 1 & CD and Classic Amy being playable, but if I can just get Superstars and play her in that then why would I really care about using her in all of these games? It certainly doesn't justify dropping $40+ on games I already own just for what's essentially a new character or two, widescreen be damned.

Amy air attack is a better insta shield and the ground attack can be useful if you’re underwater because the attack still set your speed and the hyper form throw hammers so amy is not a worse sonic

Knuckles in CD just feels right. The exploration aspect of the game and the level layout just fits his climbing and gliding.
