I love this film and it’s set in my favourite city. Some critics slated Hamilton’s performance but young Italian men of that background are exactly like that
I saw this movie about a week ago on either TCM or AMC. I forget which one. Anyway, it was my introduction to Yvette Mimieux, and to say she was stunning is an understatement! Hers are the kind of looks that make you do a double-take, because you're simply awe-struck by how beautiful she is.
Happy 83th to George Hamilton! Yvette Mimieux 1942-2022. Unfortunate how trailers of this era had those annoying narrators instead of just showing the scenes. In the movie George was 3 years younger, in real life he's 3 years older
In the seventies most people were on the thin side, especially in their teens/twenties and usually beyond. I don't know what they've done to food these days, but it's definitely not as healthy as it used to be. The other difference was that we walked everywhere, or took the bus. And then you had to walk to the bus stop and back. Streets were safe and crime was still pretty rare. For now, grow your own. Eat non-GMO, and unprocessed. Factory food isn't real food.
June 15,2023 TCMHD, I watched it with my daughter and I recorded😂 Clara's father made me mad, cleric didn't know when he was up to. Our marriage and taking Clara, the father was ashame No all he had to do was get some get some attorneys and they save a place for her at the school when they , when that day comes. I agree with the mother.
"Very very lucky". You take the word "fortunato" that means "lucky" and add the suffix "-issimo" with which you get the superlative. So: "fortunatissimo". Honestly I didn't really get how the woman in the movie translated it, but she's surely wrong lol
The musical of this movie is amazing
Love the musical version. Adam Guettel made is Grandfather Richard Rodgers (half of Rodgers and Hammerstein) proud.
R.I.P Yvette. Love this movie.
She was one of the most beautiful and talented actresses of the 60s who passed away from natural causes at age 80.
