  • My 2003 first gen Crew Cab Pre-runner dash cluster bulb burnt out and I ordered some LEDs!
Amazon messed up the order and sent me 2 separate colors! Let me know what your thoughts are on this odd color scheme in the comments section.

Thanks for the video. I replaced all of my dash lights today in my 02 Tacoma. 👍

Great video! Really appreciate this. I was able to knock this out following the steps. I just stuck with the OEM look and bought some bulbs for $.99 from Tanin Auto Electronix. BTW, one of my retainer clips fell out of the HVAC dial - glad you mentioned that - I was baffled because the dial wouldn't snap back in. Thanks!

Yep one of mine wouldn't snap back on the other day when I did my LEDs.. I noticed the other dials had the clip but I didn't think anything of it and just tore a little piece of a wet wipe and put it between the problematic dial and the knob, holds up even better than with the retaining clip I believe.

Red look brighter. Going to change all mine out. Amber too dim.

I ended up getting the red. It's bright, easy to see and it matches my radio 😀

Got to swapping the bulbs, but didn’t get any tachometer or speedometer lights. Plus the turn signals don’t turn on. I swapped out to the original bulbs, but they don’t work either. Fuse? Suggestions?

Double check your wiring and terminal connections. I had an issue with my blinker because I forgot a plug somewhere

What specifically happened with your blinker? Mine currently are not working on the dash or on the exterior.

I can't recall specifically, it was over 2.5 years ago that I made this change. But I do know that there was an issue with my blinkers And I was on the road and had to disassemble the whole assembly, but I do recall that it was a simple fix that I got done with in 20 minutes

So to access the back of the primary speedometer and tach portion of dash you still must tear apart the ac / radio panels first ?????

Correct. If you can find another video that shows you don't have to do that, post it here so others can view it! Cuz I'd love to know if there is another way.

      Ok
I see most start in the middle but not replace any center blubs
The dash panels must be integrated to some degree in a way that is obvious to others or once anyone starts dismantling
      ???
      Thanks

If I'm understanding you correctly, are you asking if it's easy to see the next steps of removing the dash as you go?

  • @MrBluoct
    @MrBluoct 2 года назад

Somehow I overlooked or failed to reconnect the air bag plug
    Was fine before blub switch
    After
    Light is on 🆘🆘
