49:46 That is one hella ironic statement, cause in reality the creators of Ultraman (Tsuburaya Productions) were hella bankrupt during the 2010s. It’s a long story regarding a legal battle between a korean company (thai company, mb) and also the 90s to early 2000s shows going way over their budgets, but Ginga & Ginga S were kind of Tsuburaya’s only hope of continuing the Ultraman series. If they hadn’t been profitable, I doubt we’d even see Ultraman still going today
Oh that was unfortunate for them during that time. I'm glad they were able to get another chance of life with the help if Ginga & Ginga S. Let's hope they don't go way over budget again 😅

I grew up with Ultraman Tiga, Dyna and Nexus Edit: More specifically I recall watching Ultraman Dyna Warriors of the star of light movie and then watched Ultraman Nexus series. I never actually saw Tiga and Dyna series. My favorite Ultraman has to be Nexus, he's the goat 🐐

I recommend Double, most fans do because it has a few vibes of western superheroes sprinkled in (the heroes don’t kill the bad guys, just depower them and then hand them over to the police) and the detective theme. Geats, the most recent in terms of being available to the USA, is another good pick for its Fortnite inspired insanity and great fights.

I can say that all the recent dubs are spot on in at least capturing the spirit of the series it's dubbing. There's a little bit of hiccups in that sometimes the voice actors are inexperienced, but the same could be said of the actors of many of the original japanese dubs. The main characters always sound good.

All you need to know is that Ultraman is an alien race, they come from a planet called The Land Of Light (well most of them are) which is in Nebula M78 which is about 3M light years away from Earth. The alien race seeks Peace and Justice throughout the Universe including Earth. Most Ultraman show takes place on Earth where Ultraman is tasked to protect the planet from threat, whether it be Evil Aliens, Earth Monsters, etc. So far, The Ultraman Franchise is divided up into different eras, those are: Showa, Heisei, New Generation, and Reiwa.
The Retsuden shows are clipshows, they basically are a cost saving measure for Tsuburaya. The company was struggling in the late 2000s and this helped pinch yen coins. They still use this method after an Ultra show ends its 25 episode run (Ultraman used to be 50 episodes or so but that eventually became unfeasible due to rising costs) The good thing is that the effects and costumes are consistent in high quality when the show is actually airing and it gives enough downtime to film the next one during the winter and spring months. Ultraman Arc is about ready to end and so the crew will get ready to start filming Ultraman Omega for Summer/fall 2025, so it will be time to break out the clipshow series again in January.

Most of the ultras coming from the planet called nebula m78 but theres a few ultras is not coming from that planet, like tiga, dyna, nexus, gaia and agul. As for the changing colour, it depends on the cpulour itself like red is a strong type this form enhanced their strength but this form make their movements slower, blue is a sky type is the opposite of strong type, this form make them much more faster but less stronger, and the one with mix colour is the balance type. Theres some ultraman that could travel across the universe such as zero and dyna (theres more but i cant remember who it is)
