I just bought one of these just now for ten dollars in rough shape . . . a trip to McDonald's . . . I think what you did is much better than what I did with the McDonald's. Hopefully I'll fare as well with mine.
My second favorite casting of all times, I went through quite a few of them as a kid. That is absolutely beautiful brother, you do have yourself some badass cars in your collection. Harry Potter with his wand could not make them look that good.
I completely agree with what you said at the end of the video!!! I got a gold Rodger Dodger in part of one my TRADES.... AND I THOUGHT about REDOING it completely.... But I just ended up wheel swapping it cause the paint told a story to me of a car that was played with and loved at one point!!!!
Really nice! Love what you did. The wheel and base swap really good. Personally, I like the second edition with the "U" shape on the roof better (Not that I have a problem with the "evil" flag; just a matter of personal taste). I know that the Redline Shop used to do both decal, but I dunno if they still do. That said, it's funny that this vid came out today, but some comments are dated from 2 weeks ago. Unless RUclips error. lol
I like this model especially the Roger Dodgers. I have a few of them. You did justice to this one. I like the paint I think I will try it out too. Thanks for sharing
Great video and another beautiful car. Although I'm not a Mopar guy I would certainly find a place for a Dixie Challenger. Your point about having a beautiful restoration and not just a filler is right-on. Most of the guys I know are "Oh-no keep it original" I say "Ha ha, no freaking way, this car needs paint!". 😁
@@Matt-md5yt Dukes of Hazard wasn't racist at-all. I live in the south, but I'm a yank and as long as the rebel flag is a southern pride thing? I'm ok with it
Very nice Paul. Turned out better than new. Yeah Bearcat 3D design is awesome. I'm waiting for an order from Griz now. By the way I actually have about 40 of those Dodge demons. The red lines on their just set it off even better. Hope you're doing well. Stay safe.
Wow. Turned out nice. Love the redlines on it. This car makes me think of a build,å spectraflame or normal black charger, like the ewil version/twin of general Lee. With a "torn up" black/grey/white dixie flag on roof. Just a thought
sweet a Challenger restoration, I love those cars. I been wondering about why some of my Cars from my Childhood have no names on their plate, one looks like a StingRay but white with a Eagle looking bird on it
Paul I have watched this video 3 times and each time I learn something new. Thank you for sharing with us. The car turned out great. I noticed you sprayed your car with one air brush and cleared it with another air brush. Is it s good idea to use 2 different ones? Thank you again and super nice job on the dixie challenger.
"7:59 A.M." Too early for me! Just kidding. This was a great restoration. Curious: have you ever tried NOVUS polish? They have a #3 that's like a rubbing compound, a #2 that's like the McGuire's and a #1 that's like Plexi Clean. I used #2 and 1 on the Plexiglas windshield on my motorcycle and it took out all of the micro scratches and restored it to totally clear. You can usually find it at Harley Davidson dealers. Thank you for sharing!
Hey Paul hope your doing ok, this turned out sweet, I've got 1 of these on my bench, been thinking about it, now you making me want to restore it 😂 fantastic results Rgds KC Tassie 🇦🇺✌👊😎👍🇦🇺
I have an 80's stock car in really rough shape. (ROUGH) LOL. Would really like to see transformed. If Possible would like to see a roll cage, Fire extinguisher, and some detail on the simple interior if your interested.
Hey man I'm a new collector and I seen a lot of your videos I was wondering if maybe you'd probably be willing to do a couple of cars for me fix them up make them look pretty cool I could even hook you up with some too cuz I get them pretty cheap
Awesome build
Being a Mopar Freak myself I love any restoration of a Mopar of any size. You did an incredible job on this, and I too would keep that Dixie…

Very nice looking car, the redlines definitely change the way it looks. Paint looks good, I’m going to get some once I get set up to airbrush

I agree. It's much cooler to have something nice and hand restored on the shelf than a beat up "technically original" car.
I think anybody would be lucky to have this in their collection!!
Looks great Paul. I agree with you on restoring the cars. Have a great day.
Absolutely Awesome
Nice! Rebel Flag is nice touch! Nice!
I just re-stored the car to original condition.
She looks all ready to hang out with The General Lee!!
Hot wheels. Dixie. Challenger restoration okay 👍
Gorgeous. I like the metal base added to the model. I bet it'd be a great racer.
first! LOL Turned out super nice. If you ever need black walls the decades corvette from Target are a perfect match. Thanks Paul!
Nice restoration and paint job 👌
Great job
I have 1 floating around. turned out better than brand new. another great job
This is one of my ALL TIME favorites!!! Rock on!
Beautiful.
Awesome build,,,
Interesting
Great job Paul and love that casting 👍👍👍👍

Awesome. Looks killer. Me? I'm doing a custom Dixie Challenger. VERY different from the original, lol
it's for the best these days. sad to see the flag gone. said that because Dukes of Hazard was a great show

Did this car come out before the Dukes of Hazard show? I think the show started filming in 77.

@@DiecastGraveyard Im with you all the way buddy. History is for a reason & erasing or altering it smacks of the days before WW2.
could you do a duster thruster in Root beer and do a nice wheel swap
Im so glad you kept it original. I was afraid you where gunna go all " snowflake" and not keep the Confederate flag. Beautiful job on this one 🎉🎉🎉👍👍
🤔 croma air ..I wonder if it is croma base (dupont)/(axalta)

I got mine not knowing it was a euro one, no flags.
