    This method of getting a PRV out on a Worcester works better when the boiler has been rear piped as you don't have as much room as when it's piped down.
    Easiest way I found is to just remove the pump and try to flick it out with a flathead, and then lever the new one back in.

    Nice one. What a horrible design for the engineer. And you only had one hand while filming, your a giant. Thanks a lot and keep safe you and yours.

    Good job! I know your pain! most of the time i open the the bleed valve at the top of the heat exchanger to get nearly all the water out, also use it to vent the heat exchanger of air when refill it .

    Honestly I look up to you, well done man, but I just usually put an external prv on the boiler, that's too much hassle.

      Lol thats not allowed by Worcester. Not In the Mi's

    Ive tried loads of ways to do this. in the end i think the most straightforward is just to drop the boiler off. Three screws to disconnect the flue turret and wiggle the grey plastic flue piece down inside. The electrics are on plugs so take a couple of minutes at most to disconnect. Then trap out, undo the nuts for the water and gas and its off the wall. Probably 30 mins max to drain it and whip it off the jig, the the prv takes about two mins to change then. In another thirty mins its reconnected and filled. In and out in an hour. Ive wasted 30mins just trying to get the stupid PRV to pop out after removing the cold supply and still had to take it off the wall in the end. The off the wall method is predictable and apart from a few fibre washers doesnt require any o ring changes. Worcesters are dog s@@T. Always have been.Always will be. Designed by clowns for clowns. The new ones arent any better. Have you seen the joke of trying to do a simple elecrode change on a cdi compact. jokers.

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  Год назад +2

      Cheers mate, yeah I've had to take it off the wall a few times as well. The new CDI compacts are the worst, I've done a video on a full service on those too, the electrodes are a joke!

    I always have my wet and dry cleaner plugged in ready to go when I repair any boiler, those sudden rushes of water can get into the pcb then you have to waste time trying to get every drip of water off the board before you power up. Really bad design, I don't get involved with repairing the prv's if I can help it, the new seal kits come in a large bag, about £40 and you only need a few of them, got loads of them now including the clips.
