The beauty of Kasey’s version is that she didn’t change a single word, she kept the cadence (albeit much slowed down) and put every single emotion she had into it. Kasey is an Aussie Country/folk icon, slogging it out for the last 30 odd years, starting out with the family band (The Dead Ringer Band) as a youngster, then hitting out on her own. Her first album The Captain receive acclaim but it wasn’t until she released “Not Pretty Enough”, a song putting it to the record companies for their stereotyping as to what artists should look and sound like that she finally received the acclaim she deserved. Kasey shook up the whole industry and became the youngest ever ARIA (Aussie Grammies) Hall of Fame recipient and has gone onwards and upwards since then. Kasey does what she wants, she doesn’t bow down to the demands of the record companies. This is a testament to Marshall’s awesome songwriting ability and lyrics meshed with Kasey’s phenomenal musical ability and a result of the Covid lockdowns. That is Kasey’s Dad, Bill, on that slide BTW. Got to give Kasey big kudos for shredding that banjo like a guitar too! 😂❤
Hard rock and metal are meant to evoke emotion every time. I used to think hip hop couldn't offer me the same, and then an old friend introduced me to Immortal Technique, and that opened the door. Hip hop and metal, when done right, have a lot of similarities in terms of realness and depth.
She’s Australia’s country/folk/ rock singer for the last 20 odd years she has her own songs. Would love for you to react to “not pretty enough” which she wrote herself that’s why she’s a big em fan. She wasn’t given a chance by radio stations etc… that’s why she has that passion when she’s performing Em’s song. Another good song is the Captain. And Ain’t no little girl” her biggest hit is “not pretty enough”
Same song. Different song. So heart felt. Pure passion & so emotive.
She was playing in the beginning, then the mood all changed.
Did it what 😂❤ Our Kasey got it done good! 😂
I've read that somewhere before.

My favourite by Kasey is Ain't no Little Girl!
Great reaction.
Her version hits you differently. Went from bluegrass/folk/indie to rock
I just HAD to comment on this one, even if it was just to give a thumbs up to the channel name :) great reaction brother.
Loved your reaction. You were so open minded & present with her rendition, which I love!

You may have to change your name, there is a rob squad out there, with this name already.
Dromgo
The thing I can’t stand about this reaction is the constant misuse of “instrumentals” fmd they are called instruments, it’s not that difficult.
You can be educational without being nasty. It’s not that hard.
its no good
Did you mean to say " it's SO good" or do you honestly truly think it's "NO" good? Just curious 😂
