This was sung at a concert she did at an historic theatre in Newcastle, not far north of Sydney. Often with these theatres you're meant to stay seated & 'behave' lol. We have one like this where I live (in Queensland). This had been recorded (sound) on the night but there was no footage... & then it became clear this was massive, so she put out the word to people who were there to send her any footage they had. This video is the result. Her dad, Bill Chambers, performs with her but is also country singer/songwriter/performer himself. She was raised in the outback, & last I heard she was living out bush (the outback bush) again. Kasey's always best live .. just like John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes/Cold Chisel.. & just about any other Aussie artist/band.
I heard something like, the audience were told they were recording & she also asked for people phone videos to be sent in for this clip. The audience were being respectful because it was being recorded.
@@Lilione111 .. I'd heard that too, though it's common, in these historic theatres, for people to have to stay in their seats etc. Could be a mix of all this. Made for a unique video, for a unique cover, by an amazing unique artist.
A culmination of Covid lockdown, Kasey’s amazing musical ability and Marshall’s awesome songwriting ability. Kasey is a massive Eminem fan and this is her phenomenal reworking of an already phenomenal song. ❤ Kasey has been in the Aussie music industry from a very young age with the family band (Dead Ringer Band), that is her Dad Bill on that slide BTW, went out on her own and got kudos for her first album (The Captain) but never really hit the charts until she released “Not Pretty Enough” - a song hitting out at the record companies for only signing young “pretty” talent. Kasey was the youngest ever ARIA (Aussie Grammies) Hall of Fame recipient and has just gone onwards and upwards since then. An Aussie country/folk music icon. ❤ The beauty of Kasey’s rendition is that she didn’t change a single word, she kept the cadence (albeit much slowed down) and put every possible emotion into it, but in her own unique way. Kasey has lived those lyrics..they are personal to her, which is why this is so freaking awesome!!! BTW…who else would have thought to shred a banjo like it was a guitar!!! 😂
I put this in my list of top ten cover songs. My husband despises pretty much all covers (except maybe Johnny Cash's version of Hurt) but even he conceded this is really great.
I forgot to comment yesterday as I watched this while driving, I actually teared up seeing you were going to react to it. It's one of my favourites and I'm aussie so I adore Kasey. Her version hits me hard every time. Xo cheers for checking it out
My daughter showed me this one and it blew me away. Shows what a great writer Eminem is but she brought out ALL the Feels of the words. And shredded that damn banjo 👏👏👏
Mic drop moment🔥🎤💥 So glad you jumped on this…my son’s favorite Em song during his formative years! He also got goosebumps with this cover and even better I got a cool mom ✅ for sharing it! Yeah baby🥳
Saw her last week in Brisbane, but I didn’t know she was there. I just stumbled upon her in the Main Street. Just missed her performance & only saw her signing her new book. Should have got there earlier…especially if she sang this!!
Glad you got to see this. I’ve seen Kasey sing this a 100 times. I watch reactors so I can see their reactions. I cant finish watching because I can’t see your face. Good luck with your channel though.
Drop the echo, re post and ill come back and watch it, youre doing her performance a disservice. Kasey doesn't go after people who use her video for review.
I'm an older Aussie rocker & I sure know this song, plus I've seen Kasey live several times. The two together is pure headbanging, country, banjo playing, Aussie country rock chick magic!!
I’m so happy everyone loves it as much as I do
She ripped it up and made it her own. Best cover ever.
Thankyou Marshall
💯♥️🇦🇺

she made this her own and left everything she had in her on the stage
@stevihinton9403 100!
She DID KILL IT. I found this maybe a month ago and was blown away.

@Peta8888 it was really good :)
Em gave her the rights on Spotify! Such respect from him and to her! ❤️❤️❤️
This is a myth as Em doesn't actually hold the rights to Lose Yourself. FBT Productions is the actual owner
Nope…the record company gave her permission….no formal reaction from Marshall yet.
And I agree with you Em NEEDS to see this beautiful cover.
He has seen it. Told her to put it on Spotify.
@@Meowziez amazing!!

BTW em must have watched as he approved of it and allowed her to release on Spotify!
Eminem doesn't own the rights.
@@Gumbardiexactly, I don't know how that rumour got started, but people really need to get their facts straight before posting
@@lynndally9160 I saw it spoken and written in many places. Apologies if I don't understand how the music industry works.
And did you know she is from Australia?? Like your wife 🤘
@karakreer6344 I did not know that! Fire!!
@@maskedgamerfilms kasey chambers is an Australian country singer 🔥👏🤘
I heard the audience were told & knew she was recording this. It’s why they are being quiet.
Love your reaction but why are you masked?
@paulied550 because I am the mask gamer :)

@metricstormtrooper Appreciate it my guy!!
That echo is fucking terrible. Out after 30 seconds
@roddow612 Damn I now that echo right! I feel you! Thank you for the suggestion
Old Aussie rockers don't know Em music I even doubt they know this song 😮

I'm also an old Aussie rocker, I'm a huge chisel fan but even I know every word of this song
Honey I'm 71 and I know this song and KASEY in incredible🇭🇲🇭🇲
The old guy playing slide guitar is her father. She brings a whole new depth of meaning to the lyrics.
@Eric-in-TO WOW FIRE!!
