Aaron might look crazy or whatever but you cannot deny that he is a sensational actor. just look at all his roles and he does them all so differently and brilliantly.
Anna never really had a chance to find out what love is bec she was married off at about age 18 to a 39 yo man who certainly didn’t marry her for love. Anna didn’t get the chance to learn the difference between infatuation and love, but she finally got to experience a “happy ending” even though Tolstoy couldn’t really put THAT in the book!
I love when Jake asks questions asking about which of stars previous films they would choose for something and they actually pick one instead of just being really vague. It shows they still think about their past projects.
Jake Hamilton's interviews are incredible! He asks the greatest questions to get the best answers. It really shows that he loves what he does. Bravo, Jake!
I really loved this film, you would love to hate Anna Karenina...but you can't help but love her and feel sorry for her for never, until meeting Count Vronsky, knowing what love feels like.
It's always disappointing when you fall in love with a character in the movie and then come watch their interviews on RUclips and find out their pretty much just a normal guy...Aaron Johnson is beautiful in Anna Karenina...so beautiful...!! Note to self: Never watch the RUclips interviews again! lol
I loved how they were all going on about love when Russia, at the time, relationships were pretty much surrogate. I call this movie, "Wealthy Russian People Problems." It's a pretty good-looking movie, but it can seem a little unorganized and not really sure what direction it wanted to go. Especially in the beginning where every transition there was a play being set up to the next scene then they just kind of stopped except every once and a while.
We don't even have a release date for this movie in Spain, ughhh,,,,well i guess, I have time to read the book before watching it. Great interview, Jake, as always

wow, you were really quick! don't worry, i probably would never have seen it either if i hadn't been on an enormous jude law kick a few years ago... :) he has made some amazing movies, this being one of them!
I am American and I know people who have crazy or conservative do's. Both the crazy or conservative style can be going along or against the person's real personality. In Aaron's case, I feel he is shedding the idealized image that adolescents grasp onto, one that his producers may have influenced him to keep. So, in creating a new look, his is more himself, ridiculous or not. He's in his 20s for crying out loud! Us Americans will easily accept his look which is (I shit you not Janecynster) sexy.
six years is a long time when you think of it. Think of a 6 and twelve year old. Obviously there's going to be a difference, mentally and physically. We get wiser and more mature as we age, every day ages us in those two senses. Some learn more in terms of maturity than others, and I think he has learned a lot through his experiences. Or it could simply be his personality, genetics you know.
It's so surreal to think of him as Robbie from Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging and then see him as this mature guy who has a wife and kids. (Albeit 2 of the girls are actually his, and the other 2 are from his wife's previous marriage.)
Keira Nightely said that Russian aristocrats "couldn't even speak Russian", she is so unaware and out of it! She does not deserve to be an actress and she certainly does not deserve to play Anna Karenina! Oh my God! This rich people can do what ever they want! What a shame!
i, for one, liked it! but it is quite dark, and, well... depressing. but everyone gives an AMAZING performance, especially jude. i was terrified of him.
i think you're the only one that does lol. Actors do what they want no one else finds it an issue. Yes it is unprofessional but no one else is making an issue out of it lol
Yeah, except that no, not most people know the story. And even if that were true, what about the other people who don't know it? You can't blame a person for not reading the book or having someone tell them about it when what they are actually interested in is seeing the movie without any spoilers.
Wow. Is it me, or is it unprofessional for an actor to drop an F-bomb? I mean, privately, do what you want to, but when your promoting a movie? This is a job. If I was to start swearing in a meeting at work, I'd be fired.
Pushkin and Tchaikovsky wrote letters in Russian and spoke in Russian, but of course they could speak French a lot. Keira is saying that Russian aristocrats "couldn't even speak Russian" and that is wrong. She can't even pronounce a word aristocracy! How did she pass a casting??? She obviously playing all this roles not because of the talent, but because of other things that have nothing to do with the talent. And she certainly needed to dig dipper. How did such "Vronsky" passed a casting?? bad
Well it was a critique of Russian society in fact ... I think he would have like it. The theme that life in society was a theatre and real life was outside of it . I honestly think it's way ahead of it's time
omg haha and now compare him to the boy in angus thongs and perfect snogging? that was just 6 years ago. What did the director aka his 47-years-old wife do to him? was she too afraid of him looking too young for her?
read the book "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoi, please. If you are patient enough you will undestand that the story is not just about romance.
It's not at all about romance, that's just the carrot Tolstoi lures you in with.
@@knarfjen6896 exactly! levin should've played a much bigger role in this film
to put it lightly lol
I still despise her… Anna Karenina I mean
This film either drastically misunderstood or deliberately inverted the values and meaning of the book.
Keira Knightley is so well spoken and such a great actress. Jake asks the best questions too!
Aaron might look crazy or whatever but you cannot deny that he is a sensational actor. just look at all his roles and he does them all so differently and brilliantly.
Love how Keira bypassed the love in her life question
God i love her accent. Shes perfect
I like how Kate pointed out Anna prefers and values infatuation over love.

Aaron is a brilliant actor since the beginning
you can't ask why about love
oh gosh Keira Knightley is pure perfection and plus Aaron johnson! Finally a movie I feel like watching!
I really loved this film, you would love to hate Anna Karenina...but you can't help but love her and feel sorry for her for never, until meeting Count Vronsky, knowing what love feels like.
I personally thought alicia vikander (kitty) and domhnall gleeson (levin) stole the show and their romance was more beautiful and believable-3
Aaron's voice is nice.
This film is a masterpiece and Kiera Knightly is incredible
Concordo com vc.... qual o nome do filme no 🇧🇷???
Keira Knightley is amazing
I can't even
I feel like Aaron liked this character because he's living the same thing because of his wife. You cannot ask why about love I guess..
The age difference between Anna and Vronsky is tiny compared ATJ and his real wife.
It is just now that I finally realizes that Karenin is Jude Law. Wow.
amazing cast!
Thanks for the interview Jake! Can't wait to see this film!
aaron reminds me of jasper cullen its kinda creepy o.O
God, I'm so excited for this movie and I'm so happy that you did an interview for it!
"We don't fucking know" BAHAHAHH
You're so cool for getting to a video first.
Not much more I can say about your interviews jake, fantastic as always.
It's always disappointing when you fall in love with a character in the movie and then come watch their interviews on RUclips and find out their pretty much just a normal guy...Aaron Johnson is beautiful in Anna Karenina...so beautiful...!!

why is Jude sooo gorgeous!?? love this cast....
Aron is
I believe he's filming Kickass 2 right now and needs to leave it long
We don't even have a release date for this movie in Spain, ughhh,,,,well i guess, I have time to read the book before watching it. Great interview, Jake, as always
Looking forward to seeing the film soon :-) Aaron is stunnung, btw, I absolutely love this man!
awesome interview as always, love your thoughtful questions (:

I`m deeply in love with their accents)
I could listen to that piano all day long.
why is everyone caring so so much about aarons hair?! not everything is about the looks.
wow, you were really quick! don't worry, i probably would never have seen it either if i hadn't been on an enormous jude law kick a few years ago... :) he has made some amazing movies, this being one of them!
I'm looking forward to it.
Road to Perdition is SO GOOD. I didn't think I could like Jake more, but yes.
I am American and I know people who have crazy or conservative do's. Both the crazy or conservative style can be going along or against the person's real personality. why does Aaron have to be married??:(
We back.
Thank you
Nice flim....nice keira
What he said about Road To Perdition.

Jake...you're awesome!
Lisa_Eliana he seems to have that habit.
Jude Law is awesome.
Keira Nightely said that Russian aristocrats "couldn't even speak Russian", she is so unaware and out of it! She does not deserve to be an actress and she certainly does not deserve to play Anna Karenina! Oh my God! This rich people can do what ever they want! What a shame!
Anna Karenina BATMAN!!
Looks like Aaron is going for one of The Three Musketeers
I saw this movie couple of weeks ago :) What country you live in? its not out where you are yet?
I didn't think I was making an "issue" out of it. I just was pointing it out.
Sort of like if it walks and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. LOL
i, for one, liked it! but it is quite dark, and, well... depressing. but everyone gives an AMAZING performance, especially jude. i was terrified of him.
James Blunt : You are beautiful.
i wish i had this job
that's what I was wondering...like that's a very avant garde sort of vest, orr...
How many times did Aaron say "you know"?!
What's the music in the beginning?
when does anna kerenina come out?
Aaron Johnson...why man, why
i think you're the only one that does lol. Actors do what they want no one else finds it an issue. Yes it is unprofessional but no one else is making an issue out of it lol
lol i just felt like it
is it me or does aaron johnson look completely stoned
Oh my bad! i mean Aaron LOL
Yeah, except that no, not most people know the story. And even if that were true, what about the other people who don't know it? You can't blame a person for not reading the book or having someone tell them about it when what they are actually interested in is seeing the movie without any spoilers.

@Lover Dove Professionalism is everything, I absolutely agree.
I understand.
haha i know what u mean and u girls want him as robbie but he has done all this to boost his career as an actor
Jude law is so hot
Keira never really answered any question.
i agree......
too many cups of java, Jake!
bout time someone said that. givin' Aaron all the credit.
yeah? I thought the exact same thing. She seems really passionate about this movie and all of that, but she certainly didn't answer the questions....
first lol thanks for the upload

why what? I don't understand
Nero!
You're not the only...
aarons voice
Aaron
who skipped to 7:30?
how hot is Aaron actually!
Yoanna
Opinions
hmmmmmmm, they got this film so wrong, they should have read the book first. Tolstoy would not have been pleased.
Every move is different from the book. The movie translated the concepts of the story in a unique visual scene. I believe Tolstoi would love it
the stage play was unique because it mimicked the Comedy Of manners (very French) and the happy-go-lucky colourful setting was an irony on its own
Well it was a critique of Russian society in fact ... I think he would have like it. The theme that life in society was a theatre and real life was outside of it . I honestly think it's way ahead of it's time
A goal target
I can.
Why cant andrew fix his hair for once lol j/k but he is an awesome actor!
AARON WHY
Tom Hank
AMEN to that ^^
Aaron? Cut your hair! Pleeeease!
You've got such a beautiful face...
To moderate
They could speak Russian and they did, just not al the time ;)
Of course cause they are Russians!
Hollywood 😂😆
You don't obviously! lol
Road to Perdition
SPOILER ALERT!!!!
I'm sorry.
omg haha and now compare him to the boy in angus thongs and perfect snogging? that was just 6 years ago. What did the director aka his 47-years-old wife do to him? was she too afraid of him looking too young for her?
