Apple related news should only be done by Riley Murdock just for the sake of Tim Cook Voice acting 😂
I second this!!!
I third this!
I fourth this!!
I fifth this!!!!!
no the voice he does is cringe
It's clear: talking about AI boosts your company's share price.
I can't say I'm surprised.
Goodart's law: Whatever becomes the new standard metric of success quickly becomes unreliable.
You can take advantage of it in stocks, dismiss bias, or take precautionary action. For example, too many of my fellow stock traders use ESG as the sole indicator, now that it is highly correlated with stock price. They even suggest to filter out by ESG first, then by other metrics. It's useful.. but...
Tell that to rabbit and humane. Pretty sure you still have to have something to say.
@@RichardServelloagree. It's not AI alone but belief of people in it being useful for decades to come. NVIDIA didnt become most valuable just coz AI, they fucking split each share into four!!!!
I miss the time when quantum computer was the top of technology!
AI this AI that !
Let's be real tho, actual AI doesn't exist and is far off into the future.
What's happening right now is the equivalent of people talking about flying cars back in the 50s.
No one put actual thought into it.
@@Pwnopolis "Giant fans on the sides, pushes the air down, makes your car fly"
@@Pwnopolis I dunno. Lots of things like cost and 9/11 make flying cars probably not ever going to happen.
This. This is happening.
@@Taijifufu flying cars don't happen because the average human is stupid. Not because of any technical limitations.

RIP raspberry pi foundation.
Concisely: RIP RPi
Don't knock eating glue unless you've tried it.
I get sniffing glue, I don't get eating glue
That’s a real marine right there 🫡
Im sticking to my meal plan
Or eating, at least, one rock per day.
I'm a paste man myself 🤤
RIP Raspberry Pi.
Better to bail now and avoid becoming dependent by the time the inevitable turn comes.
Well, mini PCs are vastly superior in every way. Some mini PCs even have GPIO pinouts. And some SBCs and mini PCs are even cheaper that the Pi and also outperform the Pi. So it doesn't really matter if the company that kickstarted the SBC/mini PC goes public and tanks itself into oblivion.
I don't understand why Raspberry Pi would risk late-stage capitalism when their userbase is eager to crowdfund.
@@stegofroggy Because the people who run the place wants a big payday, even if the price is the joy of thousands of people.
😶
This should be their main news instead about big companies and their AI news again.
Raspberry Pi went public? Welp bye bye Pi
The Irony: A.I. will get banned for a reason NOT related to human survival: it just sucks.
Companies could ban it because it causes more time and inconveniences than it solves. Or the reliance of it would cause companies to cripple when there's any service outages.
@@yensteel Companies aren't going to ban it because it instantly makes their company stock evaluation more valuable.
@@macksnotcool True. AI adoption is going to be thoroughly looked at in these years. Trust seems to be the key driver for AI adoption models so far.
But the parts like generating your own made Happy Birthday images to send your relatives are actually not bad idea, so not all AI should be banned, but true, there are a lot what should never reach the humanity (most likely because if the real humans won't get payment because an AI making their works, they won't have any money to pay their monthly subscriptions too..)
Good luck with that
Riley's Tim cook is much better... James impression doesn't even make me want to buy iPhone for my mother
3:08 just a reminder that American lawyers for major companies have argued in front of the US Supreme Court in favor of child slave labor in recent years.. Nestle chocolate production in particular. You can google Neal Katyal and read his Wikipedia.
"In 2020, Katyal represented Nestlé and Cargill at the Supreme Court in Nestlé USA, Inc. v. Doe, a class-action suit brought by former enslaved children who were kidnapped and forced to work on cocoa farms in the Ivory Coast." He won.
The whole "slavery" argument is just to give those that refuses to buy a moral superiority claim, your shoes , phones , almost everything involves some sort of slave labor, and the general public really does not care. Tweeter keyboard fighters might.
And the tariff isn't going to hurt the companies selling the cars since the CN government will cover it in full anyway, in the end its just giving EU a reason to earn extra, the seller isn't affected , the buyer isn't either.
"Katyal's argument that Nestlé and Cargill should not be held liable for their use of child slave labor because the corporation that supplied Zyklon B to the Nazis to kill Jews and other minorities in extermination camps was not indicted at the Nuremberg trials..."
JFC
Its always like that. And they claim to be the country of the liberty! What a joke
Never apologize for calling X, formerly Twitter Twitter. It's always a Twitter or formerly known as Twitter.
As a Canadian, he is bound by birthright to apologize
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Turn to him and repent from your sins today!
I only ever call it Twitter too. Saying X randomly in a sentence just confuses people.
@@idehenebenezer802 Lemme correct you: The Way of the Mand'alor is the only way.
I like that some people call it Xitter.
1:08 I keep wondering why eX-Twitter didn't catch on. X -> eX -> 'formerly' is such a great pun.
that's how I reference it
I dunno. But the Twitter name and design were just nice. That alone kinda made me wanna use it. I even made an account, but never posted anything. Still don't understand how a platform that is equivalent to yelling in a crowd got popular.
If the script requires a Tim Cook voice impersonation, the host should be Riley. 😅
This is the year of the linux desktop (for sure this time)
I use arch btw
@@talonhackbarth7652 MX Linux if you're a stone cold professional.

Linux wouldn't be utterly and completely crushed by Microsoft this year again(for the 17th year) guys trust me ☝️🤓
I wish I could
RIP Raspberry Pi. Was nice when it lasted.
I don’t think it will be too bad

James looks like he's cosplaying the artist from The Iron Giant.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the number of juice jacking attacks that have occurred in the wild is still hovering somewhere around 0?
Tbf, the video says the attack vector is purely theoretical.
0:47 James' Tim Cook voice sounds like James is trying to sound like James (from pokemon)
Google pay isn't exactly dead, it's integrated into Google Wallet!
It's used for UPI transactions in India 😊
It's not as fast as others but very secure 🔐
@@sudiptechnical368also it's vendor friendly as not everyone can afford a card machine with nfc especially with all those fees
No that's a different google pay, at some point there was google pay (which became wallet) and the other one Gpay which was US and India only, the second one was similar to PayPal
@@sgt-wd but UPI is far more robust.
So it's good that it's getting global quickly
7:00 The death of Raspberry Pi.
It’s the return of the Mack - come on!
Ah yes, this takes me back. Reminds me of another song of that era, Still Not a Player... and how one evening in a college dorm bathroom I loudly changed the lyrics to "I'm not a playa I just poop a lot!"
NO U COME ON!
Big Pun was known for dropping verses - not other things ;)
Nah, if anyone deserves to gain a larger share of users it's Linux. Be that in a SteamOS flavor or any of the others. Don't get me wrong I can see the masses choosing MacOS, but if they don't play along well either then consumers get stuck again. Better to learn the lesson the first time than have to get a second round of L's. Also, gaining more user then adds a demand for more devs time/money making the platforms better and better. That's the current weakness is the small user base, so there's little demand so the supply is low.
@@fateunleashed9680By that logic, people should really migrate to OpenBSD.
Who let Fred Durst host TechLinked? 😅
Keep rollin rollin rollin rollin....with tech news!
4:44 HEY HEY SLOW DOWN! I almost missed them
How long until we get an AI Idea generator generator
You mean actual AI?
Not this shit they keep shoveling and calling AI.
That would be too much work - I want an AI to automate the generation away, so an AI AI idea generator generator. 😊
@TechOverwrite what and I'm gonna make it myself like some kind of chump? No thanks, I'll wait for the AI AI AI idea generator generator generator 😎
That ‘voice’ you used regarding “still short of 100%” sounded like a Jim Carey caricature of Captain Kirk XD
Only Riley can do the Tim Cook voice.
if the US cares about "coerced labour" someone should tell them about Tesla and Nestle
MS is dropping support for Win10? I guess I'm dropping support for Windows. Time to move on to a different OS supplier
Nice one, James.
RIP Raspberry Pi, I hardly knew you 😢

i stayed up until 2am to watch this, worth.
8:21 Friggin' Eggshel!

That raspberry pi burn really touched my soul
I would actually pay for floatplane if there were entire episodes where Riley talks like Tim Cook.
The Google Pay app in some countries like India is still going to continue going strong. It's just too popular to be discontinued here.
if those rumors be true: "you know ppl said our 4060 sucked...so lets make it worse but charge more"
As soon as Microsoft releases their all new AD filled operating system, I'm sure some people will go to Apple but those with intelligence will go to Linux
Those Apples sure cost a lot of money. Over 200 million PCs will end up in landfills once Windows 10 hits End-of-Life, and just buying a Mac won't fix that. join me and the penguins! Repurpose that old machine! Still use a Satellite from 2009, running Debian 12. Runs like a dream. Lighter than Windows 7 but still getting support.
@@avisprimey Debian is a good fine choice, but I always recommend it's upgraded cousin, MX Linux.
@@arnox4554 Is that the one that replaces systemd? That might speed up my boot times
I sure love how optimistic linux users are about hoping people actually use it
@@avisprimeyyeah, but win10 reaching end of life doesnt mean your computers will stop working immediately.
You'll still be able to use them, just without any security patches. So still far away from 200 million going into landfill.
Slave labor is a crazy accusation considering Tesla, Starbucks and Microsoft have cases rn that accuse them of actual slavery lmao
Slave labor never stopped honestly, you just don't see it anymore but it still happens between just about all S&P500 companies
Apple Intelligence is just basic AI functionality rebranded “the Apple way”
And Google just asks the bots to eat glue and die.
@@iOSbreaker1Yep
No, it's AI + Apple Safety.
The privacy is the big selling point
"Privacy" lmao
Basically Recall lite, instead of taking everything you do and store it locally unprotected, it takes what you're doing at that moment and sends it to apple servers to ask the AI.
But I guess since its apple then it's cool
@0:07
Like checking your wrist, when you know an "update" removed that time keeping feature from you years ago...
I like James, I really do, but I think any and all Apple-related stories need to be read out by Riley, just so we can get more of his Tim Cook impression. I've never seen one of Apple's videos, so as far as I'm concerned, Riley's impression is what he sounds like. In the same way the late, great Kevin Conroy is the voice of Batman in your head when you read a Batman comic, Riley's Tim Cook impression is the voice in my head when I read a story about Apple.
Chinese EVs are notorious for catching on fire and having neat features like voice control that lets you unlock from the outside by yelling at the wind screen.
I thought the disinformation was that all EVs constantly burst into flames?
@@michaelwright2986do ur research
"American" vehicles are too expensive. If my options are between my 15 y/o crapbox, an overpriced microtransaction Murcia wagon, and an overseas competitor (BYD, Kia Ute, Toyota IMV).... those tariffs are looking mighty tasty.
The cost just to work and go do things is obscene, even for today's standards.
All new vehicles suck, but the Chinese ones have a much higher chance to randomly explode.

Was James watching the same Limp Bizkit Concert video I was watching yesterday? lol
Was the ower of that pickup named John connor?
Where's RIley and his Tim Cook impressions?

Apple is converting NVIDIA code to run on the M processors, under the guise of the game converter.
Not necessarily they are exclusively focusing on dx12 - which if anything is Microsoft's interface for 3d compute.
CUDA is a different beast, and hell AMD already has a converter for it in hip, but nobody cares because mindshare lol.
I wish apple would support vulkan someday.... Just cross platform things

Wow Google introduced new features I've literally had since my Galaxy S5 with MOAR (Mother Of All ROMS).
Why do you sound like Quagmire in that intro? also why is Micro Soft edging?
