    I don't know if you noticed but the reason Mjolnir was drawn to Jane is that Thor unknowingly enchanted Mjolnir. In the flashback of their relationship when he tells it to "always protect her," the same symbol appears on Mjolnir that appeared when Odin placed the worthiness enchantment on it. So Thor accidentally enchanted it to let Jane wield it, and he probably realized that later on when he thought to give the kids his powers

    Low and behold, it’s already 1 year old!!!
    Taika Watiti still brings that lovable silly attitude with dozens of slick jokes and humor
    The film even acts as a silly romantic comedy of having Thor and Jane butt heads along with each of their weapons getting jealous of one another but also reflecting on how they both grew apart over time
    The music choices with Guns N' Roses add a nice layer with gods and punk/metal rock style
    None of us know how long we have, never helps to close ourselves off, should we believe in gods even if they never show up?, maybe there's no eternal reward, love is all what we truly seek, we should keep our hearts open
    Really love how Portman as Jane gets a proper treatment with her character getting a second life and Thor finding closure with himself learning to not shut himself off anymore
    Valkyrie is lovable as always missing the battles of old and Korg providing the tales of their adventures even recalling what audiences aren't familiar with
    Gorr you do feel sympathy and he's a scary looking villain, yet he comes off at times just a cookie cutter bad guy just killing for the sake of it and barely showing up
    Crowe as Zeus is way more flamboyant and hilarious than the dignified god we’re used to in mythology
    There’s amazing set pieces and color schemes that stand out
    The ending is quite a bittersweet one too for both leads tying up loose ends
    Watiti can't quite better himself past ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ but you can tell he still has a flair for the silly, goofy out of this world feel making the MCU bigger, brighter, flashier, and more colorful
    Laughs, action, terrific art direction, and colorful characters are gladly plentiful in this chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe despite some shortcomings
    The mid credits scene looks like it'll set up more battles ahead for Hemsworth due to his stubborn actions as this character
    For some there might be tonal shifts and too much emphasis on comedy but this movie in particular isn’t afraid to be full of levity without being too overly self-serious for the God of Thunder

    I enjoyed Thor: Love and Thunder. I loved the '80's influenced in this movie. This movie gave me Conan the Barbarian(1982), Flash Gordon(1980), The Beastmaster(1982), Krull(1983), The NeverEnding Story(1984), Heavy Metal(1981), Red Sonja(1985), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985 ), Legend(1985), Masters of the Universe(1987), The Princess Bride (1987) and Willow(1988) vibes. Also, loved the nod to Jean-Claude Van Damme's mid-air split in this movie.

    I saw this in theatres on my birthday this year. It was the first time I had seen a movie in theatres since 2019. It was such an amazing experience. I nearly cried several times, and when I got home I had to hug my kids and tell them how much I loved them.

    Chris Hemsworth is so funny and cute in this movie Jane too! I Love the whole Thor has a relationship with Storm breaker and Mjlnir it's too funny 🤣 Jane's divided states of being as human and sick self and Her Asgardian Thor self. And Gorr was so Evil and Dark when He was being a Villan , but I'm glad he chose Love , they all did 🤗💖

    I think the reasoning in the comics is that whenever she used the hammer and became a God, it purged all the mortal out of her in a sense. So when she reverted back to just being normal non-Thor Jane, she was back at the basic mortal form and all the chemo had been drained from her body because it wasn't a natural mortal state.

    • @zeroisnine
      @zeroisnine Год назад

      Never got around to reading this arc, but chemo works by killing the body, but in targeted way. So it would make sense to me if her divinity "healed" her body, it might not distinguish from healthy or cancerous cells.

    The thor movies are the only part of marvel I care for anymore. I guess I should watch guardians 3 someday when I get Disney+ for free again. But yea this is the only thing after endgame that I have watched. And I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I didn’t watch it with expectations that it would be as good as Ragnarok or that it would kickstart phase 4. I came in after all the hate it received online with no expectations to enjoy it whatsoever. So I was pleasantly surprised by this movie.

    Classic Norse Thor had tools to do what he did. His bracelets gave him super strength needed to lift Mjolinir, the hammer created the lightning.. and to fly, he had a cart pulled by 2 magical flying goats. When he got hungry he could kill the goats and eat the meat and the next day they would be back alive just fine, unless a bone was broken.

    • @carltonmoore6967
      @carltonmoore6967 Год назад

      @@redrick8900 yeah Iron Man came out over a decade later and advancements in visual effects tech (both practical and computer generated) are what convinced Marvel Studios it could be made, there's not a direct link to Blade. But every Marvel movie since 1997 partially owes their success to Blade, because it's the movie that made Marvel a valuable brand in the movie industry. It's the movie that convinced Hollywood that comic book superheroes could be box office hits, that the genre wasn't limited to Superman and Batman. Blade's success is why the X-Men and Spider-Man movies got greenlit, and the success of all those movies (and the Fantastic Four) is what ultimately led to the big gamble of an interconnected cinematic universe, starting with Iron Man in 2008.

    • @redrick8900
      @redrick8900 Год назад +1

      @@carltonmoore6967 Blade didn't make marvel any kind of valuable brand. it didn't carry any Marvel branding of significance. Most of the people that watched it had no idea it was a Marvel property or even a comic book movie.
      X-Men did what you people are talking about and it was in development years before Blade even came out. Brian singer was attached as director and Patrick Stewart was already talking to him about playing Professor X.
      This was the first Marvel movie to convert existing comic fans into movie fans. The X-Men was huge when the movies came out.
      There were no Blade fans in 1997. It was just made a movie because vampires were hot and it was cheap vampire IP.
