This film came out almost 20 years after the first Spider-Man film and serves as such a beautiful tribute to every single film since, as well as Spider-Man in general.
P.S. Props to your dedication to staying away from spoilers! I would have cracked by the first day it came out!

Making notes in your phone won't work. The spell erased everything about Peter Parker. All tech would be wiped, no paper trail. That's why he had to create a suit at the end. The Stark tech wouldn't work for him anymore because it doesn't know Peter Parker.

Spider-Man is young and he wants to help people even if they are his enemy. He shows compassion and wants to do the right thing. That's who he is. He is not a killer, he wants to be the definition of a true hero. Killing would be the last thing in his mind, if he doesn't have anyone to help him he would go off the deep end

Recall the Loki series had many events which caused the multiverse to eventuate. We will (supposedly) eventually see Deadpool, the X-Men, and The Fantastic Four in the MCU.
As a reminder, they've officially stated that the What If? episodes are canon, so there's all sorts of possibilities afoot.
Also recall the end of WandaVision gave us Wanda studying a very evil book of magic as well as a sort-of restored Vision.
