This. REaction. Is. AWESOME. I love how you don't know shit about what's coming, no spoilers, just raw reaction and pure enthusiasm. Yours was the most fun I've had watching in ages, I would have loved seeing it in theaters with ya. I've been watching Spiderman since the original 70 cartoon with the Ramones theme so I'm thrilled they ended it with Peter set up just like the original show - not part of Avengers, not with super nano-tech, unknown, friendly neighborhood spiderman.

Yes, watch a couple if only for the pure nostalgia, it's worth checking out the different original villains and also some of the weirder episodes like with the Molemen. It was the only thing playing at lunch time, all us kids must-ve seen them a zillion times each but I still love 'em. [And since I have you here, a movie recommendation for your personal tastes - half-forgotten but really funny: Nothing To Lose, 1997, Tim Robbins, Martin Lawrence. Even ifyou don't react, hope you watch it!)

Even now two years later, this is still my favourite MCU film. The deal Disney had here really paid off by being allowed to feature predominantly Sony properties.
The story, characters, effects and dramatic music all combined together create an absolute masterpiece. The emotional moments are numerous and profound.
You were asking about Green Goblin's strength... In the first Tobey MacGuire film, Norman Osburn had a contract with the military to create weapons.
The Goblin serum that he created was stated to make him 10 or 15 times stronger than humans. I just don't remember which. This is why he's able to beat Tom to a pulp.

This movie is easily one of my all-time top favorite MCU movies so far. It's one of those movies that I always have to watch whenever it's on tv.
Seeing Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and the villians from their movies interact with Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man was phenomenal. Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin is officially one of my favorite MCU villians up there with Thanos and Zemo.
Up next in Phase 4 is the Disney+ show "Moon Knight".

in original story M.J was peters first GF then they broke up and in Science School he met Quen, they broke up and she started dating Morbius and then Morbius turned himself in to vampire by accident like the lizard man/doctor and then peter/spiderman tried to save him but the spider gene started slowly to muted him in to a monster to so Quen had to go to X-men for help to try to save them both, but peter first sins he was about to loose control (becoming a wild beast) while morbius has control

The only reason I knew for sure it wasn't going to be James Franco is because he's in trouble and Disney wasn't about to put him in this. And obviously the suit is for Norman not Harry. I cried harder for Aunt May than ANY other MCU death, the acting was absolutely raw. May's expressions and Peter's pain was so real, so bonechilling even though I didn't watch it in theaters nobody spoiled that for me and I didn't see it coming. I stopped the movie and cried for close to an hour

Netflix's Daredevil used to be cannon to the mcu, then it wasnt really, but whats most important is - Daredevil is probably the best superhero show ever created.
Fun fact the original cut of this film had a version of Mysterio that actually had powers come through towards the end of the movie and that version of him was going to fight Dr.Strange

In the comics, Spiderman always had to use technology to shoot webs. It wasn't until after the Tobey Maguire Spiderman movies that the biological web shooters became a thing. In nature, male spiders use their little, front pairs of legs (really more like arms) to extrude a "sperm web" for mating. Really changes Tobey Maguire's Spiderman for me.

This is my favorite Spider-Man movie and my favorite MCU movie.
I saw all the Tobey McGuire Spider-Man movies with my dad. He was already in his 70's when the first one came out and he really loved it! When both 2 and 3 came out and he'd see previews for them on TV he'd say to me "We're going to go see that? Right?" And we did go and see them.
When the Amazing Spider-Man movies came out his health was really starting to decline. We never saw those in the theater but we watched them together on DVD. He didn't understand why there was a different Spider-Man and they were seemingly telling the same story again.
When Captain America Civil War came out his health had rallied a little bit and we actually saw that in the theater. He was a couple years from 90 and he hadn't seen the trailer or previews for it. I was waiting to see what would happen when Spider-Man showed up. He was confused "Is that Spider-Man? What's he doing in this? That's not the _real_ Spider-Man though." He liked the movie though and was highly entertained by it.
He made it to 90 years old, but that's as far as he made it. He passed away a couple years before No Way Home came out. When I saw this movie it made me feel so good! It brought great nostalgia feels with it, but also some bittersweet ones. Whenever I watch this I always wonder how it would have felt watching this with my dad and seeing him see the _real_ Spider-Man on screen one more time. 😢

The Best Spiderman but the Doc Oc. Spiderman was a close second. As far as All Time, there are several I think you may have forgotten about. Endgame, but also Winter Soldier and Civil War. You know Civil War was a straight Banger!

I wonder how this will connect to the future Spider-Man films, according to the director himself everything since Civil War to No Way Home was the origin of Tom Hollands Spider-Man so his journey is only beginning. And as we can see from the end Spider-Man as kind of gotten a soft reboot with how everyone in his life has forgotten who Peter Parker is along with Peter having to depend more on himself as a solo street level hero with no Stark Tech and a more classic suit made out of simple fabric.
They'll be of course a new trilogy, most likely focused on Peters College years. But I wonder if they'll introduce MCU versions of villain's Peter has already met from the Multiverse like Norman Osborn, Otto, Lizard, Electro, Sandman etc. There's also rumours that Avengers: Secret War will reboot the MCU so this could be how Marvel bring in more Spider-Man characters within a new continuity where Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man related characters have been existing since the beginning.
i guess you forgot.... but that opening scene was actually re-shot of the exact same scene at the end of Far from home. I really think they did really well at matching some of the extras in the background
I hope you also watch She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. I loved all the Marvel movie cameos in that series.
