Jeff Bridges asking Evan Peters about something positive about his experience on Dahmer is a great moment to me. This was such a wonderful group to get together. And poor Evan needs to live with Jeff and Pedro for like a year to learn how to release all that evil he had to deal with.
We all love Pedro, but Evan Peters is such a great yet underrated actor, I think all his roles really have made an impact on him, he is so smart, quiet and looks like an introverted human being. People must understand that his roles havent been the easiest and that shows, he has so much talent.
The fact they all treated Evan like a human, especially when talking about his time filming dahmer. They all, especially kieran, Jeff and Pedro, were so attentive to his answers.
No it’s because regardless of the integrity of the actor, the producers decided to make a film with a serial killer as the protagonist. This actor isn’t the problem - they are.
Pedro Pascal truly does deserve all this „sudden“ (compared to his very long, hardworking career) success. Not only is he an incredible actor but also very rare example of a genuine person, especially compared to other Hollywood-men.
@@archaeologyfornon-archaeol1014 From previous interviews I've seen he strikes me as a very humble guy who is more interested in other people than talking about himself. Still would've been nice to hear more from him.
Pedro talks so passionately about acting, both in his own career and with those around him. it’s a shame the only thing anyone ever asks him about is his “daddy” status.
Completely agree...there are loads of questions I'd love for him to answer that have nothing to do with that and yet it continues to be the most referenced thing. I would love to ask if he'd ever consider going back to theater - some actors like to rotate between different types of performances if they can - or if he thinks he's grown out of that now. I'd love to talk to him about some of the books he's recommended and how they've had an impact on him. I have a laundry list of questions that just never get asked somehow. Granted I'm only 18 mins into the video so ... who knows, maybe they do talk about that, although I'll be surprised.
14:38 notice how Pedro is looking at Evan with pure concern. 🥺 He like the rest can sense the sadness he’s carrying around from such a dark role. Hoping for brighter days and roles for Evan Peters!
Dude, the most recent episode especially sold it for me like jeeez. He is truly an amazing actor and I wonder what roles he'll get from here. I think Roman will always be his standout role. I mean, that character is so complex and fun to play. I know the creator knows what he's doing but man, it really does feel like there could be more seasons of the show. I bet the cast is bummed out- they must know those roles are once in a lifetime.
@@an-qo6by fr fr, the roles they have had with succession are one in a million, the depth they have, how brilliantly they're characters are written and the freedom they have to add more layers to each is something rare and it's what makes the show outstanding, just a great ensamble.
I wouldn't say he has real range, though. He seems to play versions of himself, in a sense. Not a total transformation like some actors are capable of.
I knew Jeff Bridges was the best person for anxious actors to be around when I heard Bill Hader talk about how Jeff gave him excellent advice backstage at SNL during one of Bill's worst anxiety attacks. But this roundtable just cemented Jeff's legendary mentor status for me. Great to see multiple generations of leading men together sharing feelings this way.
As someone who suffers from anxiety, panic attacks, and is on antidepressants. Hearing these things really makes me feel better, if even people like Bill Hader gets anxiety attacks maybe I'm not a lost cause
@Quzga I find it comforting to hear Bill talk about his anxiety openly, too. I hope you get the help you need, and also maybe find more of Bill's interviews. He talks about a lot of ways he has found to be functional and anxious at the same time. 🥰 His enthusiastic laughter during any interview has also improved my life!
@@lb5368 Shows why it's so important that people are more open about mental health. When I first started getting panic attacks at like 15 I never told a soul and I had never heard of it before, so i felt super alone and insane. Now I can be more open with it and not feel like a crazy person.
You can tell how much of an effect that role had on Evan. I love how open they all were with how much their roles can change them for certain points in their life.
The thing about Kieran, beside the fact that he's just phenomenal as an actor, is he's always so engaged in these interviews and so clearly present. He's funny and insightful too and all of that together makes him really pleasant to watch.
Yes, I love that! Pedro is most likely friends with Evan already. Pedro has AHS connections, since Sarah Paulson has been his best friend for over 2 decades and he's been seen hanging out with the AHS cast like Lily Rabe over the years.

@@alfiecoys96 I disagree with them about Pedro, I think he was very sweet and lovely, but honestly Kieran gave me bad vibes. Maybe being in Succession affected him in a way? He seemed like he's better than everyone else.
Watching everyone respect Evan Peters when he talks about prepping for his role as Dahmer is awe-inspiring. It seems as though they all respect him as an actor for taking on such a difficult role.
Evan Peters and Jeff Bridges having that little moment together about Wim Hof and breathing was so great! The elders giving the younger ones advice, that is a beautiful thing
Pedro Pascal and Kieran Culkin acts like two children who gets a new bestie in the first day of kindergarten while there's Evan Peters. Loll love them all! Great Roundtable!
I think he should work with a female director or story, perhaps something like barbie. Or I could totally see him in something like Miracle Workers or ted lasso.
No wonder millions are in love with Pedro Pascal-you really couldn't even write a better man. Not only is he insanely talented, delivering a range of emotionally riveting , evocative, immersive performances, but he possesses so many beautiful traits. He's really the most internally and externally beautiful man alive to me -watching him in Narcos drove me insane. Not to mention how humble, funny, charming, compassionate, and wholesome he is.
Jeff Bridges being quiet while they’re all talking about the heaviness of embodying a character and he’s just like “I don’t know I sorta pray before a scene”. Guys been at this a long time lol legend
He comes from a family of actors and came up through the Disney system, I think being around it for so long gives him the ability to right-size it. He almost has a British attitude about acting in that he is able to just show up and move his face and change his voice a little and just deliver without being consumed by it.
There was such controversy about the Jeffrey Dahmer movie that people didn't see how really amazing he was playing him. He got his voice and mannerisms down perfectly. He was amazing.
@@zara7302 Just wondering, are you also against Ross Lynch, Jeremy Renner, Zac Efron, Dominic Burgess and Ralph Fiennes? All of them have played horrible real life people who have had many victims. Where do we draw the line? Is it the X amount of years that have passed? Is it the way the subject matter is handled? Or should those kinds of people never appear in creative media, no matter what? So.. no H*tler depictions should be allowed, in that case. And what do we do in the case of satire? South Park has depicted many of these notorious people in their episodes and don't hold back on the dark humor... I just think that when we criticise an actor for taking on a role, it just opens up a whole lot of other questions.
Damson Idris saying, "The body doesn't know you're pretending." 14:03 This is something I have discussed with friends about how very real a role can be and the attachment that comes with it. It can take you to a dark place. Wow. This was a great round table with truly amazing actors! Bravo!
I think about that all the time. I have bad anxiety and I was told that your body can’t differentiate between reality and what is going on in your head. All these imaginary scenarios I go through put my body into fight or flight. I can’t imagine actually acting out horrific scenes day after day and being fine afterwards
This is why trauma is so devastating. When you are triggered or have a flashback to a traumatic event, your body doesn't know that that same thing isn't actually happening NOW. It takes much self-awareness and effort and energy to bring yourself into the real, present moment and act/react accordingly. Read 'The Body Keeps the Score' by Bessel van Der Kolk
They should have a permanent seat for Jeff Bridges at this table. He always keeps the conversation both moving and deep, with his personal legendary film history, courage to display vulnerability, never holds back what he truly thinks and believes, all with great respect of his colleagues and the host. The GOAT of THR roundtables for sure.
Great roundtable. It is evident how much the role affected Evan; and it is quite evident as well that the other actors kept thinking about what Evan went through
This made me want to give Evan a hug. I absolutely adored him as Peter Maximoff in the MCU. He made the character so lovable and funny. Those side characters that don't get as much screen time, but who still manage to worm their way into our hearts are my favorite. ❤
bro this line up??? ABSOLUTELY WILD. Im watching every second of this! Kieran? Evan? Pedro? Damson? HOLYY 🔥🔥🔥 as a future screenwriter/director its my due diligence to watch this in entirety!
im loving this video for that reason, they all seem to click very well together, the give off the same vibe and they're all funny. gotta love these men :)
14:40 When Pedro stares at Evan, and Even looks back at him, then their immediate reactions (Pedro looks away and Evan goes to grab his water) makes me hope that Evan gets help. Anyone with eyes can see he's wasn't okay after that role, and even though it's nice for him to be with other well respected, serious and professional actors that completely understand, it's another thing to actually have someone reach out and stick with you when you're going through the worst. I think throughout the whole interview everyone seemed to be considerate of him and wanting to make him more comfortable, but sometimes that only makes you want to pull away more, so I hope he's doing well and getting help from his peers and loved ones...
@@strawberrymix6233 of course not, but he said by himself on interviews that he need a break on dark roles like this, that he have to go to therapy for his mental health etc. So i just listen the concerned people before saying anything , that’s all 🤷🏻♀️

She was incredible! I love interviewers that do their research and actually know about who they are talking to. When she pulled out a quote from Michael I was like damn! She did her homework wow! I also loved how she didn’t bring up the Daddy thing (was never really into that and it is getting old) until after the half way mark and she didn’t press on about it. She mentioned it, the guys reacted, Kieran was being Kieran 😂, and they moved on.
I think even playing someone like Kendall or Roman would be too dark for him right now. He was great on Mare of East town. Too bad they killed him off, so no spin-off.
I feel so sad for Evan that my heart aches. He’s visibly shaken from his characters. He doesn’t laugh with others, doesn’t engage in conversations like the others do. I just hope he gets lots of help and love
He just has social anxiety and he’s introverted so that’s why he seems quiet and stuff obviously his role was rlly hard to play but it’s also bc of what I said earlier:)
I worry about Evan….I don’t want another incident like Heath. I was confused when Damson said Heath was able to shut off the Joker when I heard the exact opposite that it consumed him and lead to his death. Could’ve been a fake story idk.
Lacey Rose is the best ! She doesn’t come in with an agenda, her questions are precise and able to start a dialogue… and when the guests want to take the reins she knows to sit back and let it flow , adding a little nudge here and there … this was one of my favorite round tables
Indeed. I was thinking how much more I prefer her to the guy who does this. She doesn't come across as though she is better than the situation or overly serious.
I actually thought her questions were very predictable and disappointing. There was so many places she could have led the interview. I think the only reason the interview had substance is because of Keiran.
I kinda expected better from her. The Daddy question (in front of his peers)? I mean really? She could’ve asked him about the 20 projects he’s associated with, smh.

Such a great roundtable, its pretty incredible how shook up Evan Peters was of his performance of Jeffrey Dahmer, it seems to still affect him even though the shoot is over.
I love Evan, but I barely got through the first episode. He did such an amazing job that it was too painful to watch. I can't imagine playing that role! I hope they did a lot of hugging after the cameras were turned off. Evan looked like he needed hugs..
I couldn't get thru the first episode. Turned it off and refused to watch the rest. I have no idea how he remained a method actor in that space for six months. Word on the street is he is in therapy from it
Interesting to see the concern on Jeff Bridges’ face early in the interview when Evan was talking about the role. You could tell he sensed the darkness was still clinging.
I love how real and insecure Pedro Pascal is. His characters always had a sense of relatability to them (especially, in my opinion, his character in the Last of Us) but it is so nice to see how relatable he his just playing himself. What a guy truly.
He is insecure....notice how he sits with his arms across his chest most of the time, none of the others do that. Makes you kind of want to pat him and say, it is going to ok!
i really appreciate how respectfully they treated evan and his circumstances because his experience with that character and that show was such a taxing one for him personally.
Pedro is such a joy to watch, in tv shows, movies, interviews, he has a kind of energy that I haven't seen in any other celeb yet and I love it. @@nerdyafrican1185 and Pedro has been acting, film and stage, for 25 years, Michael Imperioli for more than 30 years, Culkin since childhood, and Jeff Bridges for about 60 years.

EXACTLY. It’s Mind Boggling How The Body Works.

I usually watch Roundtable but not often finished watching all of conversation 😅 especially they praised each other a lot or asking irrelevant questions. BUT HOLY COW, Kieran and Pascal chemistry is chaotically INSANE 😂😂😂 I rarely see actors have this kind of chemistry on roundtable . Kieran leads the questions spectacularly with his humor while Pedro is quiet nervous but somehow instantly match chaotic energy with Kieran 😂😂😂😂 PLEASE let them be in a movie together
I never realised just how awesome Jeff Bridges is. Love his glass is half full way of looking at things and he is hilarious. Everyone else showed up how I expected them to be except Jeff. Like he’s such a chill jovial dude. Amazing to feel like you’re really getting to see a snippet of the actual person behind all these characters.
I was happily surprised too! He's so cool and chill and wise :D And I love how he talks like an old hippie dude xD
Yeah man. ♥️
@@yasmin8433 Thanks for the recommendation!
@@yasmin8433 Bless you
Oh nooo🫣I was thinking of Josh Brolin. Sorry about that.
pedrito and kieran laughing really warms my heart ❤️
I would LOOOOOVE to see an interview show hosted by Kieran, he is genuine and curious and a great sense of humor. And I really want to hug Evan Peters, he seems so traumatized and shocked... everything is going to be ok Evan, we love you
I feel like Evan also has social anxiety on top of the trauma from the series, i really hope he gets the help he needs
Yes, the constant face rubbing...
By nature I think he is more quiet and is not the spotlight loving type. Definitely not the “center of the room” type of person.
I dont know if anyone else noticed but after the reporter says “you survived” Evan knocks on the table (knock on wood) twice. My heart just instantly broke 😞
50:17 the lady says”you survived”& Evan let a breath out & knocks on wood, whether that’d be because he survived the role or being able to sit through the whole interview dealing what he dealt with...MY POOR BOY!been a fan of him since day 1,I really really really hope he’s doing ok!!!
& look at Pedro looking at him in that exact moment being like you got it!
Oh Jeff bridges. What a blessing he is. So much wisdom to share. And with such humility and humor
I'd love to have a drink with Pedro and Kieran. And someone please get Evan a ridiculous Hangover-style comedy, stat. He deserves some light and laughs. Also, Jeff Bridges actually is the dude.
@PedroPascal-dd4lfyou ain’t pedro
@Pedro Pascal bro
@Pedro Pascal this ain't healthy
Man, you can just tell that roll took such a toll from Evan Peters. He’s truly a master at his craft. Hoping he has all the support he needs
the big breath Evan took at the end after the interviewer said you survived broke my heart. I hope he heals
Seeing Evan just breaks my heart somehow, I hope he feels better and get to enjoy other lighter roles, what a great talent!
Pedro, Pedro, Pedro....the most wholesome person, we need a lot of him!
Damson did a great job in Snowfall. So glad he's in this roundtable.
Couldn’t Agree More
Feel like not enough people know how talented this man is. Mr Brick by Brick / bodies bodies bodies has a bright future ahead
Couldn’t agree more he killed it best actor I’ve seen in years man. Franklin saint and then you see him as Damson and you wonder how tf he did it
He deserves so much more recognition!
Also looks like a chill dude with his priorities straight
Kieran taking over the interview because he was genuinely curious and Pedro being Pedro were the highlights for me 🤩
Whenever Jeff is on one of these roundtables i love the way the other guys look at him with such awe and respect and they're hanging on his every word. He's never full of himself and seems like he wants to learn from them as well. He's such a treasure.
Kieran’s realisation when Pedro not in the suit whole the time is so Mando fans reactions
that was hilarious. Kieran was like "Noooo, you lied to us!" LOL
Neither are any of the Marvel heroes...my goodness people. It gave him an opportunity to do the Last of Us.
