Great video!! Yep, Lionel prices will skyrocket if there is no competition. MTH held Lionel's feet to the fire and kept them from going crazy on pricing for 25 years.
Thanks. I’m a big weaver fan and I enjoy converting their cars to Kadees, but I’ve got a few that need trucks, and I like to have spares on hand. I’m a new subscriber, btw! Love your layout. The scale milk cars are a favorite of mine and I’d eventually like to have the entire New York Central fleet.
Can you recommend a train set with a locomotive that has a light, smokes and makes train sounds. Like t he one in your video. Me and my wife are looking we do not want something cheep . We want to display it as well. We want are first train set to be a good one.
Your best bet is to visit a local hobby shop. Hopefully you have one in your area. Only one still making starter sets is Lionel. My advise, start small, work your way up. Watch a lot of how to videos on RUclips. Join one or all the train forums, OGR, MTF, OGF. Ask lots of questions
I'm sorry, but your assesment of the Weaver motor and gear drive is not accurate. I have a 2R Weaver Pacific with an ESU LokSound L Decoder and it runs very well at low speeds and draws very little current. Your issue is 100% the Lionel TMCC electronics. The electronics are the only difference between your 3R and my 2R version here: ruclips.net/video/PPIl5IbTV9U/видео.html Perhaps have new ERR boards installed?
Yours is really smooth. Mine does have ERR but I have others that run better than my weaver. I’ve worked on several weaver with that clunky gear box. While I’ve not worked yours I have worked on NH I5 and mine. Pat whose doing the work says it will be much improved, guess we will see
Under further investigation is that a die cast engine, not brass? If so that’s from a Kline mold Weaver picked up after Kline went under. Total different animal. Much better setup than the brass models.
@@superwarp12 Now that you mention it, I think you are correct. If yours is brass then yes, it’s different. I assumed they were the same. Disregard what I said :)

Hi there Gary. Nice🎉. Regards Elizabeth @ Tauraco 00
An awesome train for me to love. ESP since it involves the troop cars ❤
Nice update and run session. Where did you get your stash of Weaver trucks?
Fantastic update, can’t wait to see your next update video!😊
That’s a very beautiful B&M steamer!
I gotta find me some more weaver cars. Ive found out the lionel lionscale trucks will work for weaver cars and theyre great
Yes you can, when I can’t find weaver trucks I use lionscale
@@superwarp12 they're cheaper than weaver ones too. I think 18 bucks per pair too.
Ill buy your plastic Weaver trucks! Don't throw them away, haha
I’ll collect them and let you know.
