I have a very asymetrical face in general, but specially my eyes and eyelids are waaaay different shapes and sizes (both hooded tho...) So in order to make them look more alike, I have to make my eyeliner thicker in one side to compensate the "smaller" eye.... SIGH.... such a pain in the ass 😒...... If I didn't love eyeliner that much, I would've given up on it already years ago 😅😅

approach from the side. trying to paint straight-on means you will fight every lash. if you angle your brush from the side, you can scoot behind most of those lashes

I have the added complication of being, er, older, so I have to pull my eyelid a little more taut, which of course distorts the line if you're just freehanding it. I have little tried my entire adult life to make let alone master a winged liner on my hooded eyes that are now not only hooded but are aged and have so much loose skin. BUT... only yesterday I did it , I really really did it perfectly, ur technique similarly to Katy's video is the " RESTING, OF THE FACE AND LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD" that was the clencher, its the deal maker and breaker. I have really strong hooded eyes as well but because of lack of time in the morning I usually dont use eyeliner or I'll draw it ugly. That's when I bought a copper/golden one (if you have hazel eyes then that's a good look for you) and it's so easy now. Because the color isn't that strong, well dark like black, for one to see the mistakes. But you are still able to see the eyeliner and it looks great

Thank you for this!! It is massively helpful. I have VERY hooded eyes and often struggle with my eyeliner smudging under my lid hoods and making a mess. This doesn't put any eyeliner under the hoods at all so that problem will be eliminated. Thank you!

Thank you for ACTUALLY having hooded eyelids. Too many mua’s who claim to have hooded lids actually have almost flat eyelids or have perfect almond eyes already. I’m not sure if a lot of people understand what an actual hooded lid looks like. Fatty tissue/skin above the lid that meets or exceeds past the crease. “Puffy eyelids” so to speak.
Finally I found a person with an eye shape similar to mine. All the other beauty bloggers who made a tutorial for hooded eyes actually have a lot of lid space and don't get that stupid wrinkle in the outer corner. And my lid space is 2 mm wide and OH GOD THAT STUPID WRINKLE RUINING MY LIFE. Thank you so much, you are super helpful!

Meagan Reid you can curl your lashes down with an eye lash curler. I too have that problems and it works for me. Hope this helps😉

Thank you for this!! It is massively helpful. I have VERY hooded eyes and often struggle with my eyeliner smudging under my lid hoods and making a mess. This doesn't put any eyeliner under the hoods at all so that problem will be eliminated. Thank you!

Thank you for ACTUALLY having hooded eyelids. Too many mua’s who claim to have hooded lids actually have almost flat eyelids or have perfect almond eyes already. I’m not sure if a lot of people understand what an actual hooded lid looks like. Fatty tissue/skin above the lid that meets or exceeds past the crease. “Puffy eyelids” so to speak.
Finally I found a person with an eye shape similar to mine. All the other beauty bloggers who made a tutorial for hooded eyes actually have a lot of lid space and don't get that stupid wrinkle in the outer corner. And my lid space is 2 mm wide and OH GOD THAT STUPID WRINKLE RUINING MY LIFE.
