Tanner, I am really loving these short, hands on videos. While your videos are always good, I don’t have time to watch hour long videos. The shorter ones are perfect for me.
TIME STAMPS 🥳: Varnishing Vinyl before cutting: 1:33 Using correct mat: 6:56 Tip for Layering Vinyl: 10:33 (AWESOME TIP!!) Letter spacing/welding: 12:37 Measure correctly: 14:11 ** I love your videos!! ** 💜
Thank you for all the tips and tricks. I'm new to cricut crafting and I found a lot of your videos very helpful. The one I seen today that I'm going to start using is flipping the mat over to remove the vinyl. Again. Thank you! 💖💖
Just found your channel and am a cricut newbie!! Thanks for you vids they are so helpful and full of great ideas and tips, I really like the idea of sizing up your object and putting into design space before actually cutting, it is something I have been doing and find it so much more useful and time saving and not to mention less wasting of expensive supplies!
The layering one was my favorite! One Issue I've run into as a new Cricut owner is getting small letters to stay on the backing without getting out of place.
Tanner I loved this video. I have seen tons of how to videos and yours is the best one I've seen. You explain and show how to use an example that is easy to see what is happening. Thank you for helping me understand the supper silly term SLICING. The terms do not fit the craft!
Hey Tanner, I really enjoyed the layering tip you gave. That will get rid of the frustration of using plain vinyl over glitter. Thanks for sharing the tip.
I enjoyed seeing these hacks. What I didn't see is changing a print and cut to a basic cut. I have been having a time doing it. If you can tell me how lease let me know
Definitely the tip when using design space in adding the size/shape of what your applying vinyl to. It really helps so much. I have a question though...so I'm very new to my cricut & I'm about to do my 1st layered htv shirt. It's just regular htv, no glitter. It only has 4 colors but the way I have it now is I contoured the 1st layer to make it solid black, then I have the other layers of colors. Should I slice that out though so it's not layering multiple pieces of vinyl on top of vinyl?
Im still having issues wirh tiny letters using regular vinyl. I'm trying to make faux mini mini bookstacks. Like I need my letters at at like a quarter inch. I'm about to try it wirh htvs ince I've been having better luck with it
I totally think you created a new word for texting, Tyler....Y u're. Before you said you had to put the "o" back, I just thought it was a southern thing, and thought it was an adorable way to spell that. 😂
8:05 I don't know why but when that paper ripped I felt my soul rip💔 lol I've been having this issue with cheaper vinyl the white background gets stuck on the mat. I figured it was too sticky. I'm new im still learning. I would like to thank you . From watching your videos im now able to do HTV. I work at Dunkin and I made myself a sweatshirt for work since we can only wear crew necks. Now everybody wants a hoodie customers and co workers lol.
Great explaination! Always nice to join you! Just as an fyi, CC (closed caps) is totally off topic. Almost looked like 18 minutes of some advertisement. Sorry, just didn't notice anyone mentioning it. So glad I watched it again with audio. :) Thanks again!
Always love your videos! I have a question tho! I was working on making stocking tags on acrylic tags using the Be Merry cut file (the one with the scroll) but I couldn't figure out how to change the colors from solid black to having red berries and green leaves..... any clues? I'm loving my new yearly membership but would love a video on how to change the colors in a solid color file. Thanks Tanner!
I haven't been able to figure that out either! What I do is duplicate it.. then say change the entire color to red(for berries) then slice off the leaves.. do the same make one all green then slice off the berries.. and so forth.. then piece them together... not that it's an easy solution but hope it helps you
@@danagilardi1273 that’s a good idea. I’ll have to try this. Iam a newbie still. I have a lot of files that are one layered and wanted some of them to have a pop of different colors., but didn’t know what to do. Thanks for the tip!
HELP, I just got a Cricut this Christmas and I am learning on the go! I made a couple stickers/decals yesterday and put the transfer tape on them after I cut and weeded them but they are not sticking to the transfer tape so I can’t take the sticker off to place it where I want it ! :(
ive had so many problems with using lighter materials such as cardstock and even patterned paper with the mats. I've tried different mats and materials and everytime it all sticks to the mat after the cut. So frustrating that im doing cutting for paper by hand instead as i have wasted alot of material trying this.If you have any suggestions i would appreciate and try again. thanks
They recently changed and added to their shapes but I'm more Interested in learning about why sometimes I can curve my letters and sometimes I can't unless I do it when I initially type my text
Thats how the curve feature works. If you make changes to the text such as move the letters closer Design Space I believe sees it as a image now not text. So you need to curve first then make any other changes
Along with the mat tips, keep in mind that hobby lobby mats are tackier than Cricut mats. The paper studio light grip is stronger than the Cricut standard grip until you use it a bit
Varnishing the vinyl before weeding was my favorite. I think this hack will help me a lot. Thank you❤

So glad!
Love the shorter videos! Thank you they fit in my busy schedule.
Good to know!
Slice!! Didn’t know about that one!! Thanks.
Thanks so much for reminding me to burnish the vinyl before cutting. I loved how you showed to use glitter with reg vinyl 😁. Thanks so much!
You're welcome!
I liked the one about welding the letters.
Thanks for the tips! I'm especially grateful for the one about taking cardstock off my mat!
My favorite was burnishing AFTER cutting BEFORE weeding.
I finally joined the cricut owners club by buying a cricut maker machine this week. Watching your RUclips videos Tanner to learn how to use it.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your video. The one I never thought to use is to measure the item and place in DS. Thanks for the tip.
I love the layering tip. Game changer
Yay!
The last tip was so helpful! I’ve never thought about measuring my item and putting it in design space. I will totally start doing this!
Glad it was helpful!
Probably burnishing before I weed is something I don't always do. Thanks! Nice job Tanner.
Thanks! I learned a couple things! Very helpful!
Liked this. The best hack for me is burnishing vinyl after the cut.
So glad you liked it!

Thanks for the tips. My favorite was the layering solution.
Using shapes and slicing.
Awesome Tips, never knew to burnish before weeding and the tip for layering, great :) Still learning Cricut Design Space. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I'm learning SO much! My favorite is the tip about turning the mat upside down for paper!!! Who knew! Thank you!

Measuring
The best one for me is the measure one
The layering tip using the slice option is a great problem solver! Thank you Tanner for these tips.😊

All excellent tips. A very practical lesson.
Slice technique was helpful and well explained.

So happy to know that!
Gonna try to slice! This is always a challenge for me. Thank you Tanner.
You're welcome!
I always make sure to vernish after cut that's how you loose letters and small things
A friend of mine uses a heating pad on low to mildly heat the vinyl to help weed her project easier, I’ve never tried it, what do you think?

Tanner how do I print my large rectangle on my Cricut?
Don’t use design space…….have two machines but not sure how to begin. I have many cartridges

Which weight cardstock for cutting out for keychain to hang on for gifts?
Can I use blue mat for vinyl
Great video - I love all the hacks

Thanks Tanner, always need a hack tip❤️

I'm trying to make hats, and Ive ruined 3 hats!! Ho long do I keep the heat on it, and at what heat setting? Yes I have the cricut hat heater
My favorite tip was to turn the mat over and let gravity help you with peeling off the material from the mat.
