  • I got the opportunity to see Jojo Mayer in Seoul and stand a few feet away from him as he taught a criminally short Master Class.

This is difficult to sit through. Music is the universal language... the audience would have learned more just watching him play

I kind of agree, everyone these days wants to give and take an opinion on EVERYTHING. Kind of why I wish people weren't allowed to comment on RUclips under things pertaining to art forms like music because people take more time analyzing technicalities more then just enjoying the process like the master's use to when things like social media wasn't around.

Who is he referring to at 30:35? It sounds like he said D'Anthony, I couldn't make it out and I want to know who he is talking about.

Yeah he was referring to Deantoni Parks who was playing later that night. Parks is a drummer/keyboardist who plays really trippy stuff.

Advice to Jojo...keep it SIMPLE bro when speaking to a huge Korean crowd w/an interpreter at an outdoor event when everyone really wants to see you play Wipeout really fast.

Probably a pretty rough gig for the poor translator: Mayer's using technical terms that the guy has never heard before, and while Meyer's own English is good it's not native-speaker perfect either ... but he talks very fast.
