    I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into filming location vids. Glad there are channels that do them. It's nostalgia to the MAX!

    This is a great video,for many reasons,but this is,for me,the main reason:
    People go to RUclips,and they typically have NO idea the amount of work that goes into the making of a proper channel video.
    They kind of assume it’s a TikTok spontaneous thing.
    It is not.
    Running a RUclips channel is literally like running a television channel,it is massively work intensive.
    I salute you both,you work so hard,but have fun doing it.
    Oh,and I have a seriously goofy Napoleonesque Dynamitesqe story for you,a true story that left me and my co workers baffled and in hysterics!
    Is there a Napoleon Dynamite video here?
    I need to check.

      Also,regarding the mighty Dom Delouise:
      If you want a cookbook to end all cookbooks,you must get his,it’s called “Eat This,It’ll Make you feel Better “.
      It is a hilarious masterpiece,my mom owns an autographed copy,and it has insane recipes from Frank Sinatra,Burt Reynolds,Dean Martin,Martin Scorsese,and so many more.
      And some recipes have literally become family favorites,like ‘Momma’s Chicken’
      This is a good one,Don’s mother made this,it is mindblowingly good.
      And her recipe for Pasta Fagioli is the stuff of legend.
      Olive Garden needs to burn down,the way they make their sad version of it.
      Get that cookbook,Abby,Keith.
      It will change your lives!!!!

    If you ever have a chance to travel to the the Oregon Coast, they filmed lots of cool 80s movies up near Astoria including the Goonies, Kindergarten Cop, Point Break ending scene, Short Circuit. It’s really a magical place!

    • @Our80sLife
      @Our80sLife  6 месяцев назад +2

      We'd love to visit that area! Did you know a guy from Kansas City recently purchased the Goonies house? We were so happy to see it's in good hands now! He's a fan of the movie and hoping to open it to the public some day, isn't that cool?!

      That’s so great to hear! We have visited several times over the years and some of the prior owners were pretty grouchy. On the street just down below the house you can actually go into the location where chunk was playing video games when the cop cars were driving by. They sell coffee and tea now and it doesn’t really look like the pizza parlor but it’s still fun.

    I see your Vision Quest album in the background, and speaking of filming locations, that movie was all filmed in our city of Spokane. Even the Crazy for You scene/video was filmed at our local little dive called the Big Foot Pub.

    I loved all of the Location Videos. It's actually hard to choose a favorite, but I enjoy the Dallas ones, The Outsiders, Bill & Ted, and of course Billy Jean. I'd love to see you two do one on the movie Rumble Fish. And you know I was gonna suggest to my friend Matt about doing videos of the locations that they used for movies that were shot in Cincy. I know a few of them myself since I visited the sets, and we know most of the locations of where they filmed Rain Man and Fresh Horses. Oh and I wanted to let you know that my cousins from Kentucky loved the Dallas Reunion Video. Can't wait to check out the Dallas Season 10 Locations, and I'll be sharing that with my cousins as well.

      That was funny! Whenever we met Steve Kanaly, I was thinking about that (and totally embarrassed that I referred to him as "eye candy" whenever Ray was working shirtless in his front yard, LOL!!) As for the original house in Frisco, we're pretty sure it's too far gone to be salvageable, and as far as I know it remains untouched.

      EEK!! That's actually not far from here, and did you know they filmed the movie in the actual house where the murders took place?! Yikes!! I read the book a few years ago and watched the movie, which was well done. But it's way before our genre, filmed back in 1967.

    • @btetschner
      @btetschner 6 месяцев назад

      @@Our80sLife That is wild that they filmed it in the same house!
      Truman Capote showed up at the scene right after the murders took place and started to do interviews.

      @@Our80sLife Okay, I have a possible solution for the dilemmna...the only thing you have to do is find a famous 80s star from Kansas and take them to the film location. It's a small task lol.
      If you run into Don Johnson...(he is from Wichita)

    • @btetschner
      @btetschner 6 месяцев назад

      Totally unrelated...but an illustration of how much people want to go back to past time...the #1 hit last week was "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee, a song that was released 65 YEARS AGO!
