Ah, the BuzzBee double shot. Like several other buzzbee's old blasters, and a lot of nerf blasters even, its so sucky and war-impractical, but SO FUCKING FUN
And the side by side is back.

Just got one today. It took finding THREE to get ANY shells at all. Only 2 shells, but 3.50 for the Side-by-Side model and 2 shells is a decent price to me.
I know I’m late to this comment but I have literally driven over 200 miles to pay a lady $25 just for two Sledgefire shells.
You can mod the double Shot into a airsoft shotgun

WalcomS7 but wait, I have the side by side version, and I think the shells get pushed back once you close them. If you prime it, and use your fingers and act like your putting in the shells (just pushing down the springs in the barrels) and you'll see right below the barrels are two green notches, when you press those, the springs in the barrels are released, which it would also do when you close the blaster, which means it pushes the shells to the back
That side by side was probably my favorite foam blaster ever as a kid.. The shell ejecting break action was infinite fun. Thank god I also had the lever action, so I actually had extra shells to reload with. lol
idea: make those 2 plunger tubes connect to fire one projectile

I like both, for two reasons, the side by side one reminds me of the super shotgun from doom, and the up and down one reminds me of the Olympia from cod zombies. so I like both of them 😋

I wish they made a lever-action shotgun so that you could reload it Terminator 2 style, would be the most badass thing in a Nerf war ever!

This was a piece of my childhood. I may had a bunch of nerf guns, that DB S/S shotgun is just fun. But when youre a kid its easy to lose the shells, and you get 4 darts/shells. So cool, maybe ill buy a new S/S one someday

I don't think i have ever even seen a Buzzbee gun here in the UK but i have seen plenty online that have been modified and/or painted for war practicality and/or cosplay, modification normally consisting of cutting the barrels down (especially on the side by side version) to make sawed off shotguns
I used to have one of these! It was my second gun ever!
They did come out with a newer Version that's specially designed so that it emits smoke. It's probably battery operated.

I love both side by side is useable for taking out the enemys right next to each other but with the two on top you can fit into tight spaces and a little more accurate but I love both

I own one of these and have for a long time it is such a loveable blaster and the cool thing is if you have any of the old buzzbee chainfed blasters you can take one off and sand it down to use it as one of the double shot's shells

Side by Side all the way! Because I can normally eject both shells with a wrist flick without modding the blaster. However you make a good argument for the over under model either way theses no better sound in a tense battle than two shells hitting the a tile floor simultaneously. So worth "the hassle" . Great video man keep up the good work!
Had the horizontal double barrel one, absolutely great.
I used have the side by side Double Shot because I played with it a lot until the point that the plastic in the hinge shows stress marks and then it breaks, so I ripped apart the blaster and I went straight back to my good old Raider CS-35.
Design wise I like the side by side but I have used both before and I would take the over under any day and I love the shells I've used them as a diversion indoors you shoot and if nobody notices you grab the empty shells and throw them in directions away form you

Hrm... I do have one of the Over-Under DoubleShots, though it'd rather the Side-by-Side (DOOM II Super Shotty anybody? ;3) version personally. I should crack it open again at some point to fix the shaft of one of the rollers and repair the ledge that the lock holds on to.
I can think of another mod one could theoretically make to either version, if they have the parts and time - pull a MTB-Ryan and convert the blaster to HPA and not worry about the whole stock priming mech with its rope and stuff.

My Roughcut fires single shot every time I want it to. Also every other whitch way with empty barrels it will still shoot two. I love the Roughcut, because of it's firing features, it doesn't use shells, and most importantly for a secondary with an 8rnd capacity, it's front load and shoots any standard micro dart. It is kind of a pain to open the AR but it's not too complicated in there.
I agree that is more fun than practical. My kid and I wore one to pieces playing with it.
You had me @0:14 . At 2:25 that's what was happening to my Double Fire it would fire one barrel. I see what you mean by 'dead space' you mentioned in that review. Mine worked when I shoved the dart as far down as it would go. Now that I understand that if it does it again I won't get frustrated when it happens I won't return a $10 toy until i get one that works lol
the 2003 model was the one I owned when I was 4 years old, it broke on me at 11
I still remember first trying to prime it, it was hard for me but I got so used to how it worked it was my go-to blaster for Nerf wars even if it wasn't really practical

For aesthetics I prefer the side by side as it's just an imposing weapon, but for practical use the over under is what I use for trap shooting

The closest I can find is the Buzzbee GunSmoke. It's a single barrel over-under style blaster that comes with a smoke thing.
when I was 3 my brother had one and I loved it but then it broke and I got very sad then for my birthday she surprised me with another one and boy was I happy
I never had those problems with my side by side, what happened was the string snapped and didn't bother fixing it. I loved the side by side

I had this as a kid it was the favorite of the need guns and one say it stopped locking shooting one bullet at a time

I find the side by side doubles and make them sawed off for cosplays more then anything else. I have so many I can run six sawed off shotguns load out for lols.
walcom have you tried to cut down the barrels and turn the double barrel shotgun into the Boomstick from the evil dead franchise?
I like the side by side better because it can hold more shells. The newer version is super flat and it seems like they were trying to save as much plastic as possible.
Most likely the case, but even when it comes to the real steel variants I just have a huge soft spot for over-unders.

the double shot,sledgefire,rough cut or any other shotgun are awesome,but my favorite is the slingfire,the barrel break is so bad, I saw my friend use it and he got shot 25 times.the slingfire is a beast, I shot 50 people in nerf war 2
