This is one of those blasters you don't get to see all that often, but when you see it in motion... whoa boy, it's exciting. The Punisher (by Prime Time Toys of Dart Zone fame) is a heavy-duty belt-fed flywheel-powered dart spewing Minigun. While not impressive in it's stock form, it has plenty of room to grow, and that's why it's caught the eye of so many of a modder... and it being relatively scarce doesn't really help. Still, if you find one, freakin' PICK IT UP!

My vote is to keep it stock. If it's in good looking/operating conditions with the belt and ammo box then I'd like to see it stay that way. I am sure that you'd be able to do a wicked mod, or two, or three but I think this is a cool one to have stock :)
Or just wait to mod so I can run it in a war first haha

Only modify the flywheels for better performance but leave the shell unpainted

I'd say keep it stock. It's a beautiful blaster to keep stock. Now if you find another one, IF you do, make it into something like gundam heavy arms. That would be amazing to see.
I used to have one. The it went into a storage unit... and never came back out. :( When I saw Captain Xavier’s minigun I was so sad I couldn’t find it.

Out of all the blasters I've ever seen, this is the one I regret not buying the most. Something I always wanted but I wish I would have gotten my hands on had many opportunities and never did. And now the hunt goes on

Heavy Arms style blaster to go with the Gundam suit you had planned with perhaps a concealed melee weapon for when it runs out of ammo like in Gundam Wing, not his normal wrist blade but when he hid a beam sword under the gun for Hiro's rematch with Zechs.
That Splatoon idea is great, I have not seen vary many Splatoon mods, so I think it would be awesome!

Just recently found one of these at the local Salvo! I was able to purchase a belt and ammo for it, but sadly, I am missing the hopper.
What is the best way to get the switch that the hopper pushes in to stay in so I can just fire it with the chains I have? The most immediate idea I have is to just superglue a nickel into the slot to hold it down, but I don't really want to do that.

My cousin gave me his Punisher recently and remember playing with it when I was young, made this thing take the Nerf 35 round drum with a random mag-well from a dead slingfire and it works fantastic

I came here for the intro. But the blaster you were talking about was cool so I stayed.
Managed to pick one of these up recently with the ammo box, belt and about 20 of the original Slug darts. The heads on them are definitely quite odd, very chonk.
Just when I was thinking "Nice Marie shirt" and you say you want to make the Heavy Splatling! I can't wait to see that happen! Also nice to see a fellow Splatoon fan in the Nerf community.
I've been thinking about making a Hero Shot Replica from Splatoon 2 out of my Rayven, as it have a very similar shape, but I lack the expertise to do so, so we'll see what happens with that. Might have to commission it, if I can find someone reliable for that.

God I remember seeing this on the shelf years ago, looking at it, and immediately thinking it would be way too expensive to ask my parents for, and never seeing it again.
I'm partial to Gundam Heavy Arms, which basically what Captain Xavier made, but yours will fling foam darts. I'm with you about the ammo box, set it aside as a collectors item and loop the chain like the Scorpion, and make it a sleeper by keeping the original paint job but over haul the internals to performance specs with brushed or brushless motors. Good luck.

Ooooooooooh, I picked one of these up about three years ago from a car boot sale (UK) paid £5 for it complete and working, it's sitting nicely in my 350+ blaster collection.

The rep for Airzone, or whoever was there at Endwar last year, told me that one of the newer guns they've come out with has a compatible belt.
I used to have one of these but we had to move houses and my parents threw it out without telling me, I have some old pictures of me holding it but I will probably never see one of these again.
It actually has a switch on the underside of the firing grip (simply to turn the blaster off so it won’t fire if you pull the trigger) not unlike the swarmfire. I would know because I own one of these monsters from many years ago.

Walcom add clear bins to each side. Make a 300 round chain. Three stage trigger. 1st it revs 2nd it does single fire 3rd it does full auto. Add what ever flywheel cage you find necessary.
Haven’t seen a Splatoon/themed mod from you yet, so it would be pretty interesting to see what you could do.

If only you had a second one, then you could go full heavy-arms and bolt them together. Gundam options are usually the best, in my opinion. I'm currently drafting plans to make a Gouf Gatling shield with a scorpion, unfortunately I don't have a belt for it yet, and I think the internals are shot, so that's fun.
If you have it, do a versus between the Punisher, the Vulcan, and the Overlord.

As I'm not seeing a poll anywhere else... Go for a Gundam build. So much yes.
I'd personally turn it into the Chaingun from old-school Doom, Just increase the fire rate to about 4 darts a second, change the grip around a bit to something less minigun like, and potentially make it mag-fed.

Honestly it's probably the size of the blaster that makes it less profitable or viable to produce, compared to the slim boxes of the current Pro Line. This is probably why the newer belt blasters are on the small side, to appeal to kids without alienating their parent's wallets.
You should mount it on something that spins so you can you can use it for defense
