Well Saint-14 pronounces it as Yallarhorn in game, which makes sense. Gjallarhorn is an old Norse word and in old Norse, GJ is pronounced with a Y sound.
Totally. I think the issue here is that when it was in Destiny 1, the name of the weapon was never pronounced and America did America and thus it was Gallyhorn.
Drifter calls the Gjallarhorn with a "G" so even in the universe they don't know how to pronounce it. (Either that or Drifter doesn't care what he calls it.)

This is a field that nerf excels at, gimmicks that are worthy enough to be brought out to the field to fling foam in. Now for a Nerf Mega XL M72 Law or nlaw type of deal
Great review. As someone who bought this out of love for the game, but with no real knowledge of modern NERF, it's great to get the opinions of an enthusiast!
Even if I were a Destiny fan, $185 is a pretty steep price for this monster. Sure, it's sexy as all get out, but I can easily see some room for improvement at that price. Now, if Hasbro put out a shell-fed bazooka for $85 or even $100, I'd find a way to get one because I love the overall design and I think it's a nice piece of work, and I'm already having visions of carrying a piece like that in a WH40K or post-apocalypse LARPG scenario, let alone in a Nerf war. If anyone comes up with a 3D printed version, PLEASE let me know because I would love to get one!
Imagine this: It's 2008, you're 10 years old, boutta go to a friend's big nerf birthday party. Every other kid has the normal looking blaster they got fron Walmart or the dollar store ready to wage a friendly war. Then you whip this thing out. And you take nobody's side.
From what I can see of the reload mechanism, I would plastic weld two hinges and a rectangle bar from the door to the top of the canister that you put the shell into, this way when you press down on the door as you close it it will push down the loading canister. Same for after it's shot, the door opens and the shell canister comes up with the door at the same time, making reloading all the more functional, quicker, and easier, with a bit better look too! Thats what I would do!
Possible idea: Put a pvc air tank in the back tube and put a small bicycle pump on the side. I don’t own one and probably never will but it sure is awesome!
I seem to be having a weird issue where the top slide doesn't lock in place when I prime it, from what I remember it was supposed to stay pulled back until I fired it, where it would then unlatch the slide and it would move forward it tilted down, but now it just doesn't latch, and will move back forward if I tilt it down regardless of it I've fired it or not
I love Walcoms videos, I'm obsessed with and in the airsoft world myself because I only like realistic replica weapons, I would never do nerf myself because of the realism and much higher FPS of airsoft (I like the danger of pain and realism and exact copy of firearms, nerf look too much like toys for me to actually buy and enjoy but are cool to look at) but I love watching his videos none the less. Keep up the good work
We had the exact same wishlist for this - auto-closing door and a stand. Seems pretty obvious, but I'm still enjoying the heck out of mine. Thanks for the review!
Just the painting scene for this will be awesome, but mods will be crazy too, mod the shells, mod the internals, etc, especially mod the reload mechanism Edit: Would absolutely kill for any exotic handcannon tbh, or even some legendary handcannons like Eyasluna or Rose
Kinda be fun if ya could load regular nerf rockets too, especially if ya got one or two with a wolf shaped tip to match the game rockets. And honestly both pronunciations are fine, the J one is more correct for the reference to Norse mythology Bungie referencing but frankly if folks at Bungie themselves pronounce it with a G in my book that makes it just as official.
It would appear that this, the Needler, and the Pulse Rifle are the only LMTD blasters worth buying. But hey when it first started out it didn't really have any that were worth it, so they're clearly improving. Not a Destiny fan at all and I'd still pick the Needler as the best LMTD blaster so far, but this one is quite cool and ik that both modders and cosplayers are gonna have a blast with it! $180 is very steep, but it also kinda makes sense why it's that price point so it's not nearly as egregious as that GODAWFUL Star Wars blaster.
So far it seems to me that the 2 bungie franchise LMTD blasters are some of the best (this is coming from someone who has little to no experience with all this nerf stuff, I'm just a D2 player)
So, this is a conundrum I have and I'm going to probably repost it on the latest videos of a couple different Nerf youtubers I trust so I can fish for opinions from their communities, but I've got enough disposable money right now to grab one new blaster for my collection before the end of the month and would like opinions for each one I'm waffling around about. 1: Motoblitz. A bullpup flywheeler with an air-tank powered "master key" shotgun sounds really fun, but is the most expensive of the ones I'm considering. 2: Stormcharge. Would like a Stryfe formfactor Flywheeler in my collection, but the accessories seem lackluster. 3: Trailblazer. The most affordable one I'm considering, a hammer-action 8-round revolver is both fun and frugal.

Never thought this video is the specific reason why I came back to Destiny 2
From what I can see of the reload mechanism, I would plastic weld two hinges and a rectangle bar from the door to the top of the canister that you put the shell into, this way when you press down on the door as you close it it will push down the loading canister. Same for after it's shot, the door opens and the shell canister comes up with the door at the same time, making reloading all the more functional, quicker, and easier, with a bit better look too! Thats what I would do!
Man finally I've been waiting for a literal rocket launcher for Nerf.
You already know that somebody is going to make this thing short dart shells...
That thing singled for half length darts would be insane
Dude YES ITS FINALLY HERE
Really interesting design and it’s FRICKIN HUUUUUGE
Possible idea:
Put a pvc air tank in the back tube and put a small bicycle pump on the side.
I don’t own one and probably never will but it sure is awesome!
Walcom you fool. We call it the G-Horn as well. You have accidentally joined us in our madness! RUN!
I seem to be having a weird issue where the top slide doesn't lock in place when I prime it, from what I remember it was supposed to stay pulled back until I fired it, where it would then unlatch the slide and it would move forward it tilted down, but now it just doesn't latch, and will move back forward if I tilt it down regardless of it I've fired it or not
I don't play Destiny, but just the thumbnail made me smile. I'm so down for xxxl blasters.
Just the painting scene for this will be awesome, but mods will be crazy too, mod the shells, mod the internals, etc, especially mod the reload mechanism
Edit: Would absolutely kill for any exotic handcannon tbh, or even some legendary handcannons like Eyasluna or Rose
I'd like NERF to make a stand alone rocket luncher.
MAGETS
Imagine if somebody mods this thing and stuffs a giant buffer tube inside the back of the tube
Its time for the Ballerhorn Mod guide
I might not be a fan of destiny but my gosh I can relate it to a stinger missile launcher
This with 3d printed mega Xl shells and a new paint job would be dope asf
Kinda be fun if ya could load regular nerf rockets too, especially if ya got one or two with a wolf shaped tip to match the game rockets.
And honestly both pronunciations are fine, the J one is more correct for the reference to Norse mythology Bungie referencing but frankly if folks at Bungie themselves pronounce it with a G in my book that makes it just as official.
😳 Mega Sledgefire. Hasbro, come on, do it. 🙏🏻
That’s what the G Horn is
i love big blasters, only didn't order one because the shipping to canada was as much as the blaster itself D:
if they ever release any hand cannons I might check those out
If only it was colored correctly I would’ve gladly added that to my collection
honestly not a bad way to stop scalpers. people who are really into destiny would be the people that have access to it
Welcom. I Iove you for pronouncing the Gjallerhorn correctly (well at least at the start of the video)
I'm not even a destiny fan and I still really want this bad boy
Motoblitz beyond a shadow of a doubt.
