wait until the 49ers vs Vikings game. Almost every game is like a home game for the 49ers except maybe in Seattle. I went to a rams home game and it was 85% 49ers fans. The stands were pure red. Stafford has to do silent count because he can't hear anything. Asked a random fan, did you fly down for the game? Most said they live in Los Angeles but are 49ers fans. It's 400 miles from San Fran to Los Angeles for those not aware the distance.

I think if you’re afraid to play a guy. You drafted the wrong guy.
If JJ knows the play book you play him. Trying to cherry pick an opponent is BS.
There are only two things that should keep JJ on the bench.
    Can’t absorb the offense.
Sam Darnold is playing out of his mind.
Who you’re playing is not on that list.

I think you'll have a good idea of McCarty's development based on who the third QB is. If it's Mullens then that means McCarthy isn't ready to even be the #2 guy. If it's Hall, then McCarthy will be 2 with a good chance to start sooner than later.

This is absolutely the only way Vikings challenge for a playoff spot.
Half the fanbase rooting for Darnold to become the QB he has proven he isn’t rather than rooting for McCarthy to continue to be the QB he has always been. It is crazy. The odds are incredibly tilted towards McCarthy being the only QB on the roster able to provide the Vikings the edge that they desperately need to become a champion.
So many fans terrified of finding out if McCarthy is the QB we have been waiting for. They would rather embrace mediocrity for another season.

@@intrepidfoolif he proves in training camp that he knows the offensive play book and he is clearly the best quarterback on the team I agree that he should be on the field game 1. If he does not know the play book and is clearly not the best quarterback on the team then, in my opinion, he needs to wait until he is ready. Being a Michigan fan I have been following JJ since high-school and the one thing I do know is JJ'S work ethic and leadership will make it difficult to keep him off the field. I have no doubt that JJ will end up starting at some point. Whether it is game 1 or later that will be determined soon.

This isn’t the Packers situation. Darnold is not Favre or Rodgers. There is no HOF QB for McCarthy to learn from. The only thing Darnold could teach him is how to see ghosts, turn the ball over, and lose games. No thank you.
Darnold was brought in as insurance in case the Vikings missed out drafting a QB. He is also a stop gap if the rookie struggles. McCarthy is already better than Darnold. As soon as McCarthy has a grasp of the scheme and playbook, he should start. (My money is that McCarthy will learn the offense faster than Darnold and be the most prepared during training camp.)
Maybe Darnold can learn some things about leadership, poise under pressure, and protecting the football from McCarthy while he backs him up this season?

    • @williammclaren7251
      @williammclaren7251 14 дней назад

I agree and I left a similar response on another post. Being a Michigan fan I have been following JJ Mccarthy for a long time. His work ethic and leadership is going to make it difficult to keep him on the sidelines. If he has proven that he is the best quarterback on the team then he should start. If he is not ready then he needs sit until he is ready. I have no doubt that JJ will be the starting quarterback for the vikings at some point this year.

Umm look at history. Play the tough teams early and it molds your team. I think with ever qb we have cousins, Sam, JJ this will be at least a top 12 offense. Defense will be top 15. That could equal a split wins within division. Like normal. We are 4 turnovers away from being in first or last in the division.

  • @punisher5598

I’m sorry, but anything is on the table for me. JJ could start week 1. I have higher expectations of this defense, and could be a defense heavy team. This edge room is baller. I think until we see week 1, saying this team will be bad is ridiculous. There is a lot of potential here.

This is a completely different team, than last yr. What theyve done before now doesnt matter. Not only will the qb be new, but most of the defense will be too. Its silly to think theyll be "competing" in a division with 2 better teams in it. PLAY MCCARTHY. "Blah blah rookie this and that", hes going to be replacing for a 4000 yd a yr qb, and no running game, and 3 huge holes in the middle of the line.if he has a bad year, that doesnt make him a bust. You learn on the field, not on the bench. Manning and elway both had crappy 1st yrs, should they have been given up on?
