I love getting an inside look at the draft process. It’s genuinely one of the most interesting things and I look forward to this video probably too much every year 😂
It's so refreshing to have a gm that is willing to trade UP and take a chance. I used to dread the draft when spielman had the reigns always trading down.
I think after that first draft Kwesi & co. learned a lot and was willing to get aggressive in order to get their guy. They gave up a decent amount of draft capital to get Dallas especially, but not getting too reckless and still keeping that first rounder next year.
Does anyone else absolutely love these videos and find them so interesting? Like we’re literally watching the inner workings of an NFL team during draft day, interviews, player analysis. Good call on point 3. Seems that if Khyree hadn't made it to 108 they might have slid back. Kwesi has the whole year to add a couple more picks for 2025. I think a successful season from Darnold might earn all the traded 2025 picks back.
@@DTC12 I think that's a failure of imagination. Firstly, the Vikes can extend him any time. Secondly, I believe he can still be franchise tagged, and then traded. Thirdly, he could be traded any time before FA starts next March, to any team that wanted to get ahead of the market.
@@robe2504 I like the creativity. However, the non-exclusive franchise tag would cost around $38.3M if we were unable to trade him, which would hurt our leverage. (In other words, the teams wanting him might believe we want to get him off our books and want to turn the reigns over to his successor.) Maybe, that works out and ends up in some draft compensation. If so, that would be great. Anything is certainly better than nothing. I don't think anyone trades for him before FA since they would assume an expiring contract, and he would have no obligation to sign with that team. The Vikings finally drafted a big corner, that is what I am talking about!
And UDFA Dwight McGlothern too. Might need both of them against the Bears with Odunze and Keenan Allen. Allen roasted Byron Murphy last season. Khyree should at least have a chance against those long guys like Courtland Sutton and Tee Higgins that both stole games off the Vikes last season.
They finally have a great mix in that CB room. Murphy/Blackmon should be ideal to cover Amon Ra. Khyree and Dwight also good for Jameson Williams, Christian Watson etc.
Love that my team and our newest Vikings created this for us fans … this is awesome ! Not since Peterson and harbinger were drafted have I been this excited. I can’t wait for the season. Looking forward to our own parade in the near future
Giants fan but am also a Wolverine fan and I'm happy you guys got JJ! I felt Minny was the best place for him to go.
Also, I really like the atmosphere the front office and coaches have. Kwesi runs things like I would imagine I'd run things if I was a GM.
Best of luck in Week 1!
Who knows what will happen with Levi but I'm so hoping he succeeds. Just pure, bubbling joy.
The best part about all this is that we finally have an aligned front office.
As a lifetime UM/Lions fan, watching this video has made it much harder to hate the Vikes. Go JJ!
Championship mindset
Kwesi has grown so much as GM in such a short time
SKOLLLL i love this team so much. WE WILL WIN A SUPER BOWL!!! THIS ORGANIZATION IS SPECIAL AND THE LEAGUE WILL SOON REALIZE HOW SPECIAL MINNESOTA SPORTS ARE!!!
I a realky enjoying the draft process and I just started to follow (NFL)❤❤
KWESI Masterclass
He needed it after that disastrous 22 class
Kwesi was cooking with grease!!!!!
Can we get another video on our UDFA haul please
😂😂😂😂😂 2:36 Quese pulled a emperor palpatine. DO IT!
I loved this draft (and UDFAs)! There's going to come a day when we look back in awe at this offseason.
That kicker is a straight up child 😂 like he seriously looked like a jr in high school 😂 crazy!
LETS GOOO JJ!!! SKOL
In a world surrounded by Lions fans, of course I am one. With that said, I’m close to converting. JJ is that guy and as much as it sucks having him in the NFC North, thank God he won’t be ruined by the Giants…GO BLUE 〽️
LET KWESI COOK 🗣️
Whatever shortcomings McCarthy may have will be alleviated, I believe, as he grows with Coach O'Connell. JJ has talent and a dogged work ethic. Now, true, Sam Darnold is the likely starter in Week 1, but Vikings' fans have something to be excited about. The NFC North will be FUN to watch!
Js hearing that call from khyree made me tear up. He was so excited to be a viking, I feel so bad for his family, and im praying for his family everyday😢😢
Skol babyyy
To the super bowl
Wished all the teams did this every year, this was so well made
Seeing this is amazing!
SKOL BABY!! LFG!! So stoked for this season!
Kwesi was rocking the sweater vest well in the later rounds lol
Khyree made this hard to watch, such a great kid. Confident and ready to ball, taken way too soon.
Lions and Michigan fan here so i’m super happy for JJ but selfishly i wish he would’ve gone to a different division. I’ll be rooting for Minnesota to go 15-2 every year
Rock solid draft.
Got a great feeling on this leadership.
Hearing Paul Allen call JJ passes to JJ is gonna be so awesome
