This is why I want the ability to turn constellations on and off so that smaller communities can host events like this and everyone can have an equal playing ground (only downside is owning the character and weapon refines)
Even better if they just give us preset stats for events like these, but hoyo is focused on teapots, tcg etc soo...

There is a very interesting piece of information, the first two competitors of team lumine accidentally revealed some of their thought process during a stream. They didn’t thought to turn off the stream since there was very few people who watched that stream, and luckily, their strategy wasn’t revealed to opposing team. So the ‘guy with cat boy avatar’ say to his team mate, ‘guy with chinese character avatar’, that their opponent, especially ‘guy with boy wearing glass avatar’, highly appreciate raiden and ayaka ability in abyss, and he want to capitalize on that. The reason being that ayaka is not that good in this abyss due to the enemies spawning in multiple waves, her long cd will be a weak point; and that raiden doesnt fare too well in the new dendro meta, since she scale a lot with atk, but for dendro reaction elemental mastery is much more important. His plan is that he will trick team aether into picking ayaka and raiden, but he will ban all characters that can support well for raiden, thus the rather different ban pick phase in this tournament. He picked ganyu for himself and itto for his team mate, ‘guy with Chinese character avatar’ is an itto main. He also have zhongli, which is the best character to deal with the dragon on 12-2 (forgot its name), and team aether has banned bennet themselves, bennet being the second best choice to deal with it. Thus you can see how raiden struggled against the dragon on 12-2, and team lumine won exactly because of the difference they made on 12-2. Normally, raiden and ayaka are the top dps at c2, and they are both banned in previous tournament. This time, the team with the seemingly stronger dps lost, and i have to say this ‘guy with cat boy avatar’ has some big a$$ brain (his name is again why). Detailed information on this you can watch from a stream by Spiral Jaden on RUclips, his stream is in vietnamese though.

Apparently, seems like the first 2 members of team Lumine ( Neko and Sanjiu ) actually baited the others to pick Ayaka and Raiden ( As you can see, Ayaka got in trouble with her CD and enemies not appearing at the same time, and a lot of Raiden’s supports got banned ) which is the reason why Aether team was kinda doomed already…

Baited them? In what way? What did they do exactly to influence them to pick those specific 2?
It seems more likely to me that team Aether simply overrated C2 Raiden more than anything. The Ayaka pick was the right pick.
@@shadowpriest2574 Ayaka aside, Raiden was baited with the Sara ban, since its common belief especially amongst CN and NA players that Raiden has subs for Sara, but in a speed run scenario, its a hard loss.
@@Endershock1678 Raiden was a weird pick for sure. All of her supports were banned or guaranteed to be banned, like Bennet and Kazuha.

If they go deepwood on Nari and full em on yoi with gilded it could be a really good burgeon team where Yoi burgeons with her burst if its against anything BUT the jadeplume since tighnari can hit enemies to reaply dendro from far away while also xq n ayayayayato burst provide the dendro aura. Tighnari with sac bow for maximum burgeon spamage?

@@s2wuolf508 tighnari's application is a quick burst and not that consistant even with sac. it would be better with someone like dmc or nahida. i like the idea of yoi, it could be fun and useful in those ban and pick but aint the best. id love to see it tested out tho from a yoi haver!

Another thing people mightve misses, Klee was carrying 4pc archaic petra, hence why the rotation was always ganyu > zhongli > klee to pick up the cryo crystallize

It's pvp but everyone has the same characters and stats. It's like the trials that they do in events, so they could implement it without making it unfair.
They could give moras and exp books as a reward. Just dreaming...
This isn't PVP tho. This is PVE with rules and limitation. Some sort of 'leaderboard' to compete who can clear the chamber faster.
Sadly mihoyo is allergic to any sort of competition in this game. Take this event that even 3 year old can complete and sht up.

I think that this abyss played for the tournament was not a dendro focused abyss, actually I'd argue it was more CC (Gathering and/or Freeze) and Electro focused. I mean the Dendro Chicken has the highest resistance to dendro of all the enemies and electro "disables" it. So I dont think dendro comps should have been the expectation. overall nice set and thanks for le translations
Point about Chicken is missed. Resistance doesn't matter since dMC and Collei are not making much damage anyway. They are needed for aggravate and as you said yourself - electro is very good here. So pretty much you can expect dendro here - aggravate teams.

Overall, with the new discoveries of mixed burgeon and hyperbloom teams I am very excited to see how the next tournaments play out, especially when fighting the Dorito/A-SIMON.

This was fun to watch both for the pick/ban interaction and also for seeing how people actually "good" at genshin play. Real proof that you don't need a healer for most teams if you get good. (Meanwhile... I still usually bring a healer/shielder.)

Bah, I got really excited clicking on this video because I thought China was running actual Genshin PvP tournaments. Not you're fault that's not what this actually is, and I appreciate the work you did translating and sharing this.

The usual competitive are ganyu, hutao, geo party, ayaka, electro variant, and eula.

I think Nahida is a character that makes a big difference. Dendro is pretty decent, but Nahida is what really enables it. I played her a lot and she feels pretty good compared to the other dendro characters.
It feels empty knowing that Nahida is Dendro peak potential.

Not rly. Its a strong team for sure but not everyone can play the team as good as these guys.
Also not many have the hardware(good computer) and internet connection to perform perfect Ganyu CA's.
In this case it shined rly well because its supports are not contested at all. Like seriously, Meltyu can use XL without Bennet, Can use Klee quite well and can use Jean. I can see XL being banned, but nobody would ban Jean , Klee and Zhongli when there are bigger fish to ban out there like Ayaka.

18:46 That itto counterpick may have seemed smart at first, but everyone forgot that C6 noelle is almost as good, so now team aether still has a pretty decent team and team lumine has wasted a slot, because itto on their side has no teammates. In addition, yunjin pick from team aether now has an use (yunjin is much better for noelle than itto, giving almost as strong buffs as gorou, meanwhile for itto she's pretty much just a battery)
Team Aether did win draft second phase, they just borked execution quite hard imo.
But what IF Lumine team didn’t pick Itto, do you think Aether team would still pick Noelle? Or they will go for C2 Itto?
Lol Noelle is trash and literally irrelevant in the meta just like her trash element. Geo has no place in this game, and if it were to be deleted, no one would notice, and if they do notice, they wouldn’t care.

且自带“1”成本（主题角色特权）

当期角色不可被ban（嗯，主题角色，你ban🔨！）
3、圣遗物数量开放，套装（4件套）的有效词条分210-220，散搭（2+2）限制220-240
评分规则会采用双方选手认可的，偏向比赛用的算法
比如阿晴带的精通词缀是会算进总分的那种
4、双方自带“1成本”，仅可使用2间且这两间要分开
5、深渊不能选有益的词条
6、主角不可被ban（每个属性仅能出现一次，取消自带五星武器设定）

Could someone explain to me why sometimes the players open the book? I feel it has to do with something about the burst abilities but dont know the reason behind it, awesome content and I really love this Championship stuff hope we could see more of this in the future
Energy particles still travel while book is opened, so if you want to use Q you don’t have enough energy, you use E, let the particles travel while time freezes, then you have Q ready after closing the book.

@@anhchanghangxom97 And that would be fair. Nilou is the only character among the Sumeru unit (Nahida included) with speedrun potential in AoE chamber. Nahida allow Nilou to be even more ridiculous. Ayaka freeze lost it's luster due to the existence of Bloom Nilou. They both do the same thing (AoE specialist) and cover the same shield (Pyro-Electro-Hydro) as well as taking the same unit (Kokomi), it was bound to happen for them to clash. I'm curious how Nilou will perform past this abyss, in chamber less tailored for her.
In the current Abyss only a whale Hyper Raiden beats, Ayaka whaled out can only keep up with Nahida-Nilou combo without cons. So from a F2P side, it's loss for Ayaka here.
@@dendenmushi9714 Have you ever seen a whaled out ayaka lmao ? Whaled Ayaka can push close to 400k dps in her 5 second burst. Ayaka's damage is frontloaded, while nilou is constant damage, which means ayaka will by that fact alone be miles better for speedruns.
Secondly, nilou doesn't have a grouper, consolidating her AoE is much harder. And lastly C6R5 ayaka can push 100k sustained rotation per target, while C0 nilou comps cap out at like 67k per target currently.
Not sure where you got your numbers, but nilou didn't affect ayaka as much as you think.
@@musicaddict9058 I go to the CN side of the community pretty often. Ayaka usage dropped a bit (depending on list you look at it might still be good or not like NGA) and that's precisely because they compete for the same positioning of meta and the same characters. Ayaka's clear time don't come close to Nilou's one without whaling.
The F2P side (even then its Kokomi-Kazuha-Shenhe) of Ayaka at its fastest was 39S while Nilou was 36S pre-Nahida. Whaled Ayaka with C6 was 32S, Nilou-Nahida combo 33S.
Raiden Hyper 27S.
Ayaka frontload happens after the complete setup of Freezing and buff with Kokomi, grouping and buff with Kazuha and buff with Shenhe.
Nilou's strength in speedrun is that there's no setup. You just start Dendro/Nilou and then follow with Nilou/Dendro and that's it.
While other comp are busy setting up their damage Nilou has already started.
Shes a case were sustained damage is actually speedrun competitive and that's by making the setup non-existent.
Right now this are the results of the current abyss. There's a reason even the CN championship try to avoid her now.
During her patch, Collei and Dendro MC were banned.
While during Nahida, she was straight up ban herself. she's pretty much what Ayaka was back then, an unit worthy of ban for making challenge trivial.
Ayaka herself is seen as a lesser ban worthy than her.
Still this abyss is tailored for her in the first place. Gotta see if she stays consistent or compete to outcompete Ayaka consistently now.
She hasn't convinced me yet but I can see her potential already which can go higher if Ayato or dendro Ayato joins the team.
@@dendenmushi9714 At f2p level of investment(kqm standard), nilou-nahida has higher ceiling in AoE, which it should, because freeze completely disables the enemy, and it wouldn't really be fair for it to also have higher dps. That being said, the difference is like 10% against 2 targets, so take it as you will.
But the fact that ayaka still beats nilou-nahida at whale investment, in abyss that was literally made for nilou, invalidates your original comment. In next abyss when we get enemies that don't group by themselves, nilou will be fkd cuz she can't have a grouper in her team.
they didnt use noelle charged atk on purpose so yunjin normal atk buff is utilized

Nahida's E hydro ring + Kokomi's jellyfish are good to cover close-to medium range , but Ayato would help with the more spaced-out enemies that still have Dendro from Nahida.
And being a bloom team, all Hydro chars share the blooms anyway. Even without Ayato, they share the blooms.
24:10 pretty sure even if they didn't require to bring Tighnari the orher option was Arataki fuckin Itto, what the fuck would Itto do in a Yoimiya comp.
They could do 4pc Archaic Petra set Itto. Apply pyro with yoimiya charge, and then crystallize with Itto’s e. + there would be some kind of shield + ushi would also taunt the enemy
