Honestly, Hoyoverse can just give us a tool to create our OWN Combat Challenge Domains and share them with other people, just like that Coin Collecting Domain event we had.
Imagine the possible combat scenarios the community could create. Different enemy lineups, specific reaction restrictions etc. The devs wouldn't ever have to left a finger after they gives us something like this since the community would be the one doing all the work, while they just add new enemy types, arenas, debuffs, and characters.

Hopefully someone or a group of people can get the message across to Hoyoverse one day or maybe the genshin community could make their own indie genshin successor one day.

I think that would be possible in the future, as a permanent in game content like the teapot hehe

Ugh idk why people like Yae. She’s basically Fischl but worse, but they only use Yae because they’re stupid simps.
I have no idea why they used keqing instead of yae in 12-3-2. Yae definitely is better in single target and she’s a lot less dependent on Fischl, plus she can use the Widsth for frontloaded damage. Keqing with Sara simply isn’t enough sustained dps.

Both teams had access to c2 nahida. I was hoping to see some type of c2 nahida hyperbloom / burgeon team from the start, I think that would've been really good. I know raiden, nilou, and yelan were banned, but xingqiu, fischl, kuki, and thoma were still available to create some really good teams.
This is what I've been waiting for! Nahida is fun to use and I wanted to see how she'd be used.

My hypothesis is that team lumine thought that banning shenhe would disable ayaka. I honestly think that outside of shenhe, yelan is the only questionable ban as shes limited to C2 despite her huge powerspike at C6
Edit: the nilou ban is very understandable as with nahida being a must pick, she would be able to draft even 4 star hydros to complete her team. And seeing that Yelan is the only hydro/dendro being banned, it opened options for her team comps (on which her teams, considering the C2 lomit for her and nahida, would be able to clear the previous abyss chambers within 12 to 20 secs)
Ayaka has so much flexibility, it's stupid. If you ban Shenhe, Diona or chongyun or Ganyu or Rosaria will work.
Ban Mona and Kokomi, Yelan, Xingqiu, Ayato, and even Barbara step up.
And good luck banning every anemo
The kazuha ban was pretty good at first glance, but then it becomes an incomprehensibly stupid decision when they first picked Zhongli instead of Venti. Good job letting the enemy pick the best grouper and locking yourself out of the second best grouper in an AoE floor
@@el7284 Yep, that's the thing about Ayaka, she is one of the least support dependent units in the game, since the difference between her f2p team and her max investment team(without cons/weapons) is rather small compared to other teams.
Ayaka-Mona-Sayu-Diona(Omen + Nobless + TTDS + VV + maybe Mililith)
Ayaka-Mona-Kazuha-Shenhe(The difference is just ~32% more cryo damage From Kazu + 30% cryo dmg and 15% cryo rezz shred from shenhe + her quills). Basicly replace Mona with a no artifact Barbara and the teams are about equal.
The difference is bigger if you don't consider it fair for Mona to be in the F2P team.
Ayaka gets more dmg from Mistsplitter or C2 or C4 than she gets from Kazuha or Shenhe.

Then again, I went for Mist on her first run so I may be biased.

C6 Sara is actually better than fischl in aoe scenarios… but it wasnt an aoe scenario so still CANT
Adding on Yae is also better than keqing in ST scenario and it was a single target scenario

Doesn't Keqing apply faster Electro than Yae to proc more Aggravate? I'm pretty sure Keqing's first hit CA doesn't have ICD while Yae's turrets fall into ICD mechanics? Just curious
Keqing does proc more aggravate but lacks too much base dmg and hemce doesnt surpass yae
At least this is what I conclude from ingame testing, the calcs I have seen and how Theorycrafter Zajef77 claims that yae is the best second electro unit to pair with fish in your aggravate comps in his lates yae video.

Indirectly.
Energy particles still travel towards the character even when the game is paused, so it saves a lot of time recharging in the next chamber

Why did Ayaka not have burst icon at 8:40? Isn't it the first floor? I've been following this for a while and thought that they only get one try at each floor, so it would only make sense if her burst were on cooldown for some reason. Maybe they accidentally popped outside of abyss? It seems strange and something that could have been avoided in the final video.

We almost never see benny, kazu, even yelan in these tournaments bc they always get banned immediately
Melt Ganyu and Itto comps are common picks in these tournaments from what I have seen but I have no idea why?
Melt Ganyu I can somewhat see cus of front loaded dmg but itto?
Also why heizou over sucrose
itto teams are braindead and sucrose gets banned so heizou is the next best option

Itto only needs himself and Gorou to clear, so if you use your double pick on Itto/Gorou, you already have a decent-ish team on one side. Plus, the other team isn't going to take your Albedo, so you can upgrade your Itto team basically for free. The other benefit is that mono Geo doesn't yoink any other important character for your other team, so it makes your 2nd side draft easier.
Heizou was picked over Sucrose because Sucrose was banned lmao
Its because contested Supports are always banned, and Melt Ganyu and Itto are not dependent on contested supports.
All the tournament need is custom base set artifacts that has normal effect & give same numbers

Yea, they shouldve let yelan thru as competition limits them 5 stars to C2. Yelan is strong yes but if competing against a C2 ayaka, ayaka is the obvious ban. Nilou ban is understandable as u dont want to get owned by a 12~20 secs clear per chamber on first half

This is what Genshin should be about. I don't mind at all if people enjoy that coin-collecting, picture-taking minigame BS that they shove down our throats. I am just disappointed that hoyoverse straight up refuses to cater even a little bit to the part of the playerbase who genuinely enjoy challenging combat.

They said Ayato isn't as good as kokomi in freeze. They said mono geo was weak. Lol
The early chambers are so easy that even level 20 Xinyan with no artifacts can defeat it. Beating those chambers means nothing. They’re just giving false hope that Ayato and mono geo are worth something (they aren’t and anyone who invests in them is stupid and needs their accounts removed).

If he can clear abyss without using dendro, Xiangling, Bennett, Raiden, Beidou, Fischl, Zhongli, Kazuha, Venti, Sucrose, Yelan, 5 star weapons, Black Sword, cracked artifacts, talents that are 8+, etc, maybe I’ll reconsider my stance.
Also it’s not a problem that people choose to play these trashy garbage tier characters. I just feel bad for them and hope to point them in the right direction.
@@bobjones1934 I have c0 with the Battlepass Black Sword (r1). I have only ever bought 7 battle passes total to get some 4 star crit weapons for the characters I was building that needed them. All of my limited 5 stars are at c0 because there ain't no way I'm gonna whale on this game.
Before using hyperbloom, I used him in Electro-charged and soup teams and his teams worked great for mob floors while I used a more single target focused team on the other half. He works great. Don't know why you think he doesn't.
What the hell are with your restrictions on teams and weapons? So to you the only good characters are ones who can beat the abyss with no supports and craftable weapons? What kind of standard is that!? Even Childe needs supports and proper rotations to beat the abyss and he is one of the best characters in the game because of his synergy with vape teams. The same is true of a non-whale Raiden, Ayaka, Ganyu, etc...
@@workinprogress8978 the difference is that those characters you listed can function on their own without 5 star weapons, busted supports and artifacts, etc. Ayato needs all of those because he’s basically crappy dollar store Childe. Idk why any smart person would use him when Childe exists. Btw you’re using Black Sword, so anything you say about Ayato is automatically invalid.
as an ayato main it feels like his burst's cd and duration are (almost) the same.. like in 12:30 the burst is already up and his burst is still there

I’m starting to believe that Kazuha might not be a good character to ban in this competition. Because of the maxed out artifact limitations only being like 4-5 max artifacts per team, kazuha might not be able to have high EM therefore he will kinda lose his value.
any vv +0 on purple is broken. same with noblesse bennet, tenacity. u named it. i do pilot abyss some friends account. some were horrible, even on 58-60 AR. so i force reroll strongbox for 4 vv +0 with 150~160% ER and could do 36 star with breaking keyboard combo within couple of try.

No, banning Kazuha very much makes sense. Sure , he won't provide that ~32% bonus dmg, but even then, that is only 1 of his good points. He still has the good grouping, he still has the VV, he still has the Fav weapon, an he will still provide at least 10% dmg bonus or so. Losing artifacts impact him very little. Sure, more than venti, since nothing of what he offers is dependent on EM, but he would still be good.
Frankly, grouping is so strong that Kazuha's grouping on its own justifies his existence.

@@fr3941 Ayaka's team was picked mostly in the early stages of the draft but their clear times were only 1s faster than the Itto team which they used later round picks for. So I don't see the claim that she's broken in these tournaments. Ayaka is a good pick in these, but not ban worthy anymore. Team lumine's mistake here in the current gncs17 was picking ZL first and not taking anemo grouping at all.
Lol Keqing aggravate without Fischl sucks ass. They should have used Yae there instead of wasting her on that Itto team
Keqing is a waste of code and pixels. Idk why anyone likes her. What a useless and ugly piece of trash. She is not better with dendro than she was in 1.0 lol. Idk why people even saw potential in that cow.
Fischl is not good in this format since she requires good gear. They allowed higher constellations 5 stars but limited the artifacts and weapons. Fischl kinda needs good gear to shine. C6 Sara on the other hand does not need gear to do well. This also makes c2 Nahida weak because all the characters on the team need good gear to make use of it. On the flip side c2 Raiden is the only character who needs good gear and the rest can have crap because they funnel all the buffs to her to make her gear have more potency.
This basically means that buffing characters paired with more selfish dps characters will do better in this format. If you look at it this way the Shenhe ban makes sense since she is probably the strongest buffing character at c2 if they are allowed to use cryo characters.

Geo lack of reactions is to balance out its user high stat. Most meta players know this, hence thats why mono geo is pretty popular. It dont need those fancy reaction cause its already strong on its own.
In a pick/ban context, Itto is actually pretty decent. All you need to make his team is just his dog Gorou so you can use your double pick on that and already have a decent team. Then, you have an extension for the team in Albedo, which is a pretty free pickup after the Itto/Gorou pick because no team wants Albedo outside of mono geo. Lastly, mono geo as a comp doesn't yoink any other important characters so it makes your drafting easier, which is a lot better in a pick/ban context

Pretty expected tbh. The thing is Keqing is still considered good by the community in general, but in a meta tournament? The team they used here isn't even good and Keqing isn't top top meta so no surprise. 1 min clear with a wonky team like that is already way faster than average players.

@@fr3941 no they couldnt. do you even play sucrose? sucrose grouping wont even budge the double samurai dudes in the first place. sucrose grouping i general is pretty terrible for both ganyu and ayaka. they want as close as possible which sucrose just doesnt do. sucrose literally knocks enemies back instead of grouping them once they get "too close". futher she gives no useful buff in this team... and her burst costs way too much in situation like this because she would would't havre it up by the next floor.
@@MrVhatever you’re underestimating the people here. The samurais run towards you so they shouldn’t be an issue. Sucrose will group the smaller ones. The people here have proven multiple times they don’t need insane grouping to do well

Dendro made new teams but they weren't really exactly better than existing teams, they're nice, aggravate is cool, Nilou is fun I guess
The biggest thing is that it made EM essentially the best stat in the game to stack for certain units because Hyperbloom is based , Burgeon is based and stacking EM is easy because full EM mainstay with full dead subs is still fine, EM Raiden actually a viable option lol as well as Kuki and Thoma
It made bad units good and made meme builds viable so I am Happy
